  1. I had this issue, in my case it was caused by launching the game through Jebretary. If I launch through a desktop shortcut or Steam it works fine.. G
  2. Thanks for the help - had installed Jebretary at the same time and was launching the game from there. That seems to have caused the issue, was confusing me since KJR was the only physics altering mod I have installed !! G
  3. Thanks for the help - you're bang on. Had started launching through Jebretary instead of STEAM - gone back to launching through STEAM and all seems good again !! G
  4. That didn't work for me - will try and see what happens if I set it up in a new location without gamedata.... G
  5. For some reason I have lost all effects relating to re-entry heating and it appears that the craft are not heating up since no matter what speed I come in at the ablator value never decreases. I did have mods installed when I first noticed the issue, but have since removed them all and started a new game to test and it has made no difference what so ever. Have tried reloading physics.cfg and that has made no difference either... Any suggestions would be much appreciated. G
  6. Is anyone else having issues with lack of reentry heat and / aero effects with this mod. Not had any since installing it, is it a known issue? G
  7. In career mode I use stage recovery and terminate anything that doesn't deorbit. Just started a science mode game though and I am a complete litter bug in that..... G
  8. We are all playing the beta now right enough, but surprising that there are going to be massive changes to the core of the game for v1.0 ..... G
  9. Never understood why some people get so uptight about DLC, if it is worth having and significantly expands the game then I will buy it. If it's a pack of new spacesuits for Jeb then I won't. G
  10. I have landed quite a few Outposts on wheels, which have vertical thrusters so they can descend and move around. Never wanted to take them off again, although my first thought would be to make it in two parts, Rover (and lab etc) attached to a landing / takeoff stage via large docking port, try and make the whole thing VTOL capable on Duna. Then you land, disconnect, do your science and then return and reconnect to the lift stage to leave. Should be possible, you can always test the thing on the Mun first ! G
  11. I got an Ike outpost contract before I left Kerbin's SOI, from memory it was something like 700k advance and then 1.7mil for completion. Well worth doing and not nearly as hard as I thought it would be.. G
  12. I tend to use Kerbal Alarm Clock to tell me when to go and Mechjeb to tell me how much dV I have. Then I tend to overbuild ridiculously, normally everything with nuclear engines as well. I suspect someone who is better at saving dV than me could have taken my Duna lander from Kerbin, landed at Duna and Ike and made it back to Kerbin. I sent it there attached to another ship and left it in orbit around Duna, and I had enough fuel left in the mothership to fully fuel the lander and make it back to Kerbin with enough dV left to visit Minimus if I felt like it. Ridiculously overbuilt, currently working on adding more fuel to the mothership for my next run - why i don't know - sure the design has more than enough - it would probably do Eeloo... G
  13. Designing an outpost to complete a mission to Ike, which will also be my first interplanetary voyage. Got the requirements covered, just refining the landing system and then need to work out how to get it there. Over 2.2 mil total in fees though, so there is a good incentive.... G
  14. Have tried FAR & NEAR but ended up going back to stock, and will wait and see what Squad come up with in the next update. I want so much to enjoy spaceplanes, but in all honesty I find them a bit of a slog to get into orbit so at the moment it's all rockets for me..... G
  15. I test and revert if I need to (or if it was a pure test and not meant to go anywhere). That said if I strand a Kerbal somewhere then I tend to try and launch a rescue mission, which is much more fun than reverting, although I haven't attempted stranding one on Eve yet....... G
