  1. thanks for the link, that wiki is way better. let\'s hope it will go up in the google search results later. right now, that isn\'t the case.
  2. When I google up the KSP wiki, it still regards a January update as \'news\'. Other aspects also show that the wiki is heavily outdated? I would love to have all the information in one place but right now, this isn\'t the case.
  3. More often than not, the moon not directly visible when launching. When checking the map, you can see where the moon is located. But I find it hard to find out which way to steer to head to the moon. An option to mark a target on the Navball would be handy, but that\'s not in the game. Any tips for navigating towards the moon, without losing a shitton of fuel while experimenting which way is to the moon?
  4. I have this game for a while now, and while I do know the basics, I can\'t get to the Mun just because I can\'t steer the ship to the direction I want. When the ship is relatively heavy with engines and stuff, it\'s very hard for me to steer it. I can press the WASD buttons all I want, but I get no direct feedback to how the ship responds. Then all of a sudden the ship jerks around and gets unstoppable. I know the navball is the leading point in this, but I still can\'t figure it all out somehow. Any tips for steering the ship controllably?
  5. thanks a lot, I should have downloaded it from the store from the beginning!
  6. I bought the game a couple of months ago and I have reinstalled it now. I notice that there is no patcher executable anymore, and the game doesn\'t prompt to update the game. How can I update the game to the latest patch?
  7. thanks, and I feel really stupid now. feel free to burn me, otherwise I will close this topic.
  8. It\'s been a while since the last update on the blog (3th April I think) and update for the game overall. Are they working on one huge update, or any other news regarding development?
  9. Nowhere did I mention that I used RCS thrusters. Having wings and such doesn\'t solve the problem: not knowing what direction you will go into when pressing a WASD button.
  10. It\'s indeed not just a matter of \'trying which button moves you to what direction\', because we have to deal with finite fuel. You can NOT afford to fool around, waste time and fuel, just because you need to know what the buttons actually do. If your spaceship turns like 1 degree, everything is different again.
  11. I have bought and played around for a while in this game, but getting to the moon is hindered by one obstacle: steering. Now I know that you can\'t easily steer big ships, but it would at least help to know in what specific direction you will move when pressing either W, A, S or D. Winglets also seem to not make a difference at all, but that might be just me. I can hardly imagine astronauts having to guess which button goes to left, right, up or down when steering their high tech spacecraft.
  12. Thanks a lot for your reply, it really helps me out! As for the redundant decouplers and missing engines...............I have no idea why I did that. I think I just plainly forgot them in the hurry because I wanted to make the spacecraft just for the screenshot.
  13. earlier? The solid boosters are attached to the fuel tanks. Without modifying anything, the first stage would be only using the solid boosters. After pressing space, the solid boosters get detached and after another press of the spacebar, the liquid fuel boosters would do their job. Can I modify this thing to let it use both its fuel boosters and solid boosters at the same time, but let it drop the solid boosters once they are empty?
  14. thanks for your reply. isn\'t there atleast some kind of orientation, regarding the WASD buttons? because I change my view ocassionally, the direction of the buttons changes too.
  15. I\'m pretty new to this game, but one thing what really confuses me is controlling your spacecraft. I try to use SAS as much as possible, but when I want to manually control my spacecraft, I turn it off. But it seems that the WASD buttons steer the spacecraft to a set direction (and not from your point of view). Can anyone give me some tips or insight in how the WASD buttons in this work?
