    Bottle Rocketeer
  1. I think that this information should be calculated by an engineer or an advanced probe core. As many have pointed out, figuring things out is the funniest/most frustrating part of early games.
  2. Thrustplate adapter? I will explore this avenue, I always thought that Procedural Fairing was a nose cone plugin.
  3. As a workaround to the tree structure limitations, some people are using multiple docking ports to attach a lifting stage to a spacecraft with two or more engines. I have an more elegant idea that would require a revision of the existing adapters. The idea is, you replace the multiples fairings that would normally encase each engine separately by a structural fairing that behave exactly like a cargo bay. A part (2.) that would encase the engine cluster, attach to the adapter above (1.) and be jettisoned by a decoupler (3.). The engines would then no more be a part of the rocket's structural integrity, allowing a much greater rigidity. Meanwhile, when you are testing this concept, a simple cargo bay self destruction button would do nicely Have a nice day, MsieurDionne
  4. "R" was the faulty one; the one that I was using when I shut down. Replacing the persistent by a quicksave regave me access to my saved menu. Thank you!
  5. While flying in Kerbin Atmosphere, my laptop ran out of battery and brutally shut down. After a restart, I have found that both 32 and 64 bits .90 versions cannot open the "Resume Saved" menu anymore. The debug menu is showing this: [Log]: ExperienceSystem: Found 0 trait types [Log]: ExperienceSystem: Found 9 effect types [Error]: [GamePersistence Error]: No ROSTER node found in save state [Exception]: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object I can still start a new game that feel perfectly normal but if I quit I still can't access the Resume menu, neither create a new game by the same name, "A game with that name already exist". Here are my "saves" folder and my output log. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qusc7hiqakppxzg/saves.zip?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/dq9jqmokzptkago/output_log.txt?dl=0 Thank you, Rémi Dionne.
  6. I was trying to keep my installation as light as possible, I never took the time to consider these crowded parts pack. After some search, I must admit that some are tempting... I suppose that I could delete the unwanted parts from Gamedata.
  7. In this case, to stick to the theme, I will probably blame my over optimism on the Christmas Spirit. I'm in no hurry though, and I may even be prepared to cede my patents.
  8. Since I was nice most of the year and only accidentally "lost" a handful of Kerbals, I'm confident that my modest list will be delivered in the Christmas update. 1. A compact size 2 to 3 adapter 2. Bi, Tri and Quad size 3 to size 2 adapters 3. A selection of ridiculously Soviet quinque, sexa, septi... size 3 to size 1 adapters, 4. And, if you are feeling generous, a MK2 to size 1 cockpit. I'm sure than Rudolf and is flying crew will find these additions useful as well. Merry Christmas to all Kerbonauts, MsieurDionne
