  1. An updated version of the 2nd SSTO I've ever made, which stopped working after the aero update. It can deliver ~2 tons to 75k orbit and is more than capable of landing on the runway (although it's pilot certainly isn't). I'm not sure what's up with the info in the f3 screen (all low, does f5 f9 mess with this?), but I tossed it in anyways. If anybody wants the craft file let me know.
  2. Gatecrashing with my unmanned run (as in, I did it, and only then noticed the "must be manned" clause. Facepalm.) - http://imgur.com/a/8vCYu No recording software but I took a lot of pictures (except the only one that matters, the flight results. Double Facepalm.) Not sure if it made a big difference or not but I flew it retrograde for the hell of it. Going to have to dig around for the original manned craft in my files and try this proper if I get the time again.
  3. Solved: So the update was a Steam update, and that somehow corrupted some drivers for the graphics card. I realized that after trying a few other games and seeing them fail to launch too (including non-steam games). The specific problem was "Failure to Initialize Direct3D" which I learned when the Hearthstone error message actually specified the exact issue (steam crashes didn't for some reason). The issue was fixed by running windows troubleshooter to fix the corrupted files and restarting the computer when prompted. Posting this because nothing is worse than coming to a forum to find a solution to a problem and seeing something like "NVM I solved it, thread closed" and there being ZERO explanation as to how to fix the problem. Seriously that is the WORST. STOP DOING THAT. Last night (11/04/16) when launching KSP steam preformed a very short update that I assume was just some minor tweaks and whatnot. After this however, whenever I try to launch the game it immediately crashes. To be clear I had no issues launching the game after the "Loud and Clear" update, only after this small tweak last night (haven't played in a couple weeks so not sure which day it came out). Reverting to previous version only shows the last major update (w/out loud and clear). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game a few times and that hasn't fixed the issue so I'm kinda at a loss. Here is the error it spits out
  4. Was just a little too accurate with my intercept burn and wound up slamming my shuttle into my space station at a relative 400m/s due to a very distracting sandwich break.

  6. I've had the game for a couple of weeks now, and finally managed to make an SSTO space plane. Imgur doesn't want to embed for me so I'll post a link http://imgur.com/a/jf7aj Normally I'd decouple the Skipper rocket engine from the plane to re-balance it during re-entry (with chutes attached so it can be recovered), but as that wasn't allowed for this challenge I removed the decoupler, fuel line, and extra chutes. Made the plane spin out of control during re-entry when I pulled out of the dive, but that's what the emergency chutes are for . Managed to put her down in the mountain range that's next to the Space center, you can see the reticle for the little buggy I leave out next to it so I can target the space center when I need too.
