  1. If you want to fix your saves after NRE spam, open them up and search for 'NaN'. Though because some of the numbers are tricky to correct, on occasion it's easier to just delete the offending vessel from the persistence file (make sure you leave no brackets behind or anything though)
  2. The output log says you ran out of memory, the error log shows you have some free, but not much. Also, the error log claims an access violation. Close everything you have open in the background before you run KSP, so you have the entirety of your RAM avaliable for it to use, and see if it still crashes. EDIT: Also, being on a 4GB system, you really should be keeping an eye on RAM usage even on Stock, which tends to use in excess of 1GB of memory on occasion Chances are, while you have 88% RAM used, the other 12% was already allocated but not used, so there was no more RAM to be able to allocate.
  3. I'm alive!!! I haven't been around too long but I'm alive!!! And I lost nothing...
  4. odd, and one major problem, you can't use it on the forums!!!
  5. yellow circle at the bottom has a faint D on it, definitely duna!
  6. @cardgame 1. System processes: "System" under "user name" column All processes that cannot have it's affinity or priority changed. 2. Never used more than 2% for anything? then your CPU is not the problem, and you must have a high-spec gaming computer. My laptop has an average of 10% use when idle (no programs open, no input from users)
  7. Accuracy is very difficult in solar orbit, because the areas that are within a planet's sphere of influence are very small compared to the scale that you're working on. Also, Duna has an eliptical orbit, so standard transfers probabaly won't work, because you have to know where it is, and where it WILL be. Try using mechjeb, even the mighty autopilot has had trouble!
  8. Not a good idea, the rocket will break with the sudden speed, also, ever heard of the kraken?
  9. So... How do I actually do this? Your explanation wasn't exactly use-able EDIT: Worked out a minor solution to speed ksp up for people with more than one core, use task manager (processes tab) to shift everything off of a core of your choice, and force ksp to work on the newly emptied core only (right click, affinity...) this means that ksp has a core to itself, apart from system processes.
  10. You might want to ask the creator/s of Damned Robotics.
  11. Using only an ASAS, Solid Rocket Boosters and the old MK1 Pod, I've managed to get into an escape trajectory. You have to get a high orbit, and burn horizontally at the periapsis in order to raise your apoapsis high enough to escape into solar orbit. All parts that I used to do it were stock.
  12. There is an add-on or plugin, you just need a slow landing and a VERY heavy craft, but movement in the water will be very slow
  13. It is possible, but even some of the better add-on and plugin makers have had trouble, you have to ask someone to do it for you.
  14. From what I've seen, there should be a GUI, perhaps a Damned Robotics piece that acts like a computer that you use to control them all. I've seen a video with someone using what appears to be Damned Robotics for a Mun Station, and he uses a GUI to control the mechanisms. You should probably look at the original thread for instructions
  15. Hello, I've been on the forum for a few weeks, but haven't really done anything with my account, so I decided to actually get off of my lazy **** and get involved in the community. Generally I just play around with MechJeb and my modified 50000L fuel tank, but I'll probably start to do one or two challenges. So far, the biggest thing I've done in KSP, is orbit the sun. The biggest community thing I've done is name the 500Km area around the north pole (The Alteran Circle, http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/showthread.php/10088-Invention-Kerbin-Geographic-And-Science-Society?p=232217 ) -Goraine
