  1. Victory! After prepending that, with no config files, my game loads. I had actually tried this before but with config files present, and kept seeing the same immediate crash. So in addition to the localization bug, is there some kind of bad-resolution bug?
  2. Quite interesting. In dramatic fashion, as soon as I did that and ran again, KSP got further, a black window appeared, and then my entire X session crashed... So, progress?

I don't trust the hard drive that this was installed on, so I swapped it out. Now both problems seem to have dropped from the log and the game loads. The game is stock, from Steam, with no modifications at all. The game starts, some logs are generated, but the output is a black screen. Not even the loading screen appears. The program hangs like this until either terminated, or after a minute or two at which point it silently dies on its own.   14. OK, that's fine. Anyway, I found a workaround. The in-game resolution seemed odd and didn't match what it should have for native LCD full-screen, so I fixed it and it solved the issue.
  15. I have the exact same problem with my up-to-date Linux installation. I'm running in 64-bit mode. The fact that it's cross-platform should rule out any Windows-specific problems. Please advise.
