  1. I may have to make a modded part or two, but I don't want to mess with the aero stuff; I feel like that would be cheating. However, changing the intake's intaking ability might be required. Time to fire up Eclipse and mod some parts.

  3. You could use an extrasolar (or extrakerbolar?) planets mod, and try to visit some planets there. Maybe even send a Voyager 3 to that star, and then launch it out from there.
  4. AMAZING! The music is so catchy, too! By the way, how powerful is your computer? I have a pretty good computer, but I get about 5 to 10 fps even on default graphics settings; you're running it nearly at the max, and with graphics enhancement mods! Where did you get a computer powerful enough for that?
  5. If I could properly set up docking encounters, which I can't for the life of me do that. Which is pathetic considering would have made it to the mun last night, completely by accident. I would have made it, I just missed my maneuver node, but it happened perfectly. On accident. . But I think I can do it again . Anyway, I have some ideas for space stations. I just need experience in docking procedures.
  6. Because we have stuff like SRBs. But, with reusable spaceplanes such as Reaction Engines Ltd.'s SKYLON being developed we may see a spaceplane that uses an aerospike engine.
  7. I made a giant hypersonic cargo lifter using OPT's largest parts, and my poor computer just can't take it. The game crashes each and every time I try to load it. It was almost 3 times as wide as the runway, if you include the wings. It had Quiztech VTOL wings, but now I think I never would have gotten it to lift off. It's possible the game crashed from clipping, though. It is the largest I've ever built.
  8. I realized that I need to post my attempt. But, my parents won't let me use my computer But I can describe what I will most likely do: A Mk. 2 that has shorter Mk. 2 fuel tanks on either side on the back. For engines, 3 "Advanced turbo ramjets" (I believe they are either from Quiztech Aero or OPT). I will have to carry oxygen with me for space testing.
  9. Like I said, this challenge i to see just how fast you can have something move before the game can't handle it. So, yes. Well, that's one way to do it.
  10. I'm quite the noob in the forums here, but I have a few questions, if that's okay. 1. Are there limits to the size of the craft? Once I built this monstrosity of a plane, and I was really excited to fly it. I think it would have way more fuel than necessary to do this challenge. (It didn't matter in the end; it crashes the game every time I load it. It's just too big! ) Anyway, a huge craft - is it OK? 2. Speaking of huge craft, if you build one big enough, are you allowed to use an ISU converter and harvest fuel using the drills? Technically you are using the same tank; but it seems really cheaty, and I think it would just be a bad sport to do this.
  11. The name is pretty self explanatory: just make something that goes as fast as possible! Mods are allowed!!! The idea is to see the limits of KSP, and just how fast you can go without destroying the craft, game, etc. HyperEdit, FTL drive, and the like are allowed to get you to where you will test your design. Other than that, nearly everything is fair game!
