  1. Thank you three for the comments and suggestions. Just got done with SB50, so I may give it a shot before heading to bed. Never knew what that was supposed to do, so thanks for the tip!
  2. Batman78781, So, if I'm understanding, you do a half maneuver, then wait until you reach the same point again and complete the burn. Minmus will have changed positions, but if I'm understanding this right, you're suggesting an adjustment at the AN or DN to compensate for that difference and use the opportunity to adjust plane as well? If I've gotten that right, then I can see the sense in it. If not, then I'm in more trouble than I thought lol. Thanks, I'll give that a shot! Between your comment and Snark's, it appears that upsizing the engine, while it SHOULD complete the burns faster, isn't worth the fuel consumption. Is that a fair assessment?
  3. First off, hello everyone!. I've got about 1300 hours or so in the game (if steam is right), but it's almost entirely self-taught minus a few forums, mods, and Scott Manley :). I mention this because with anything self-taught, it's easy to bypass something fundamental which may have answered this question, so apologies if it's stupid obvious... On to the issue: Using 4 nuclear engines on a 30ton "Shuttle" designed to run back and forth between Mun, Minmus and LKO. DeltaV is around 6K. the 30tons is dry, somewhere over 70tons w/fuel. Maneuvering burns takes for ever and I'm missing my ideal positions all over the place. I do split the burn times, but when you're burning 2-3 mins total, burning 1-1.5 minutes before and after mark messes up your planned path/location. So, obviously a higher thrust engine shortens burn time at the expense of fuel economy, but is there an 'ideal' thrust per ton that I might want to shoot for, for SOI maneuvering?
