  1. psshht. ONLY 30 kt? What would you launch with that capacity? Nuclear powered aircraft carriers? Small islands? Nice job though. How long before this is upped to 3000 kt? *maniacal laughter* Also wondering if you've seen this?
  2. Wait, do they get really mad, or do awesome breakdancing moves or say its really good? Also, have any recipies I might be able to try? Even though I'm relatively close (Central NJ) I've never heard of these although they do sound good. And I personally would like to give making some a shot.
  3. Pretty sure this was it. Or if not the software, the amount (or lack thereof) of computing power. The flat angled shapes are much easier to model than a nice smooth curved one.
  4. Long as you give me credit I'm okay with that. I would prefer though that any edits are not terribly drastic though, if thats not a problem.
  5. My own collection of images. https://imgur.com/a/ErzK4 I'm quite happy with them. Although some are more interesting than others.
  6. qzgy - April-June 1952 Cephalopod Advanced Research Division - Uninterestingly Boring. @NSEP is up next.
  7. Silver sharpie? Or some form of metallic paint? Not really sure here. You could also try using some form already silvery paper or whatever color you need it to be.

I believe this might be a forfeit.
  9. The earths magnetic field is incredibly weak (25-65 microtesla). For comparison, ITER uses approximately 12 tesla magnetic fields for containment. Not very helpful but still a point of reference. Add to that the fact that its strength decreases with a square (if I remember physics correctly) and you're much higher up than the surface, where that strength is recorded. Also add even further to that, your magnetic field can only repel or attract along field lines so on the earth's surface, only the Z (upwards) component actually does anything, making the already weak repulsion force weaker. And most of the field lines are not in the Z-direction since its relatively close to the equator, so its pretty weak. Especially when compared to gravity. So I really really doubt that that could work. To the point of saying its basically impossible.
  10. About your laythe problem - my guess is that it's the angled engines and gravity losses. It could also be that the dV map doesn't factor in any aero losses but you should still be able to buffer that with the spare 700 m/s. The angled engines are definitely not doing you any favors though, even if they look really keewwwl.
  11. Can I tempt even more? It would be quite funny.
  12. There's no point in asking why this is exists, is there? Other than "because you could"?
  13. The floaties look like they do more sinky-ing than floating considering how not in the water they are.... Neat reentry design though. Like it a lot. Might have to borrow it sometime later....
  14. qzgy - January - April 2nd 1952 Cephalopod Advanced Research Division - On an emotional rollercoaster. @NSEP is called forth to present his offerings. Also am curious what engine you've got sitting on your upper stage of OSP-1.
  15. Well... nothing exploded or anything. Thats a good thing isn't it!
  16. In other words "We're having some fun, but won't show you"
  17. Thought that was up already....
  18. qzgy - October - December 1951 Cephalopod Advanced Research Division - Hey look we sort of know what we're doing! Except when we don't... @NSEP - we are awaiting news.
  19. qzgy - July - September 1951 Cephalopod Advanced Research Division - Something about the slow grind. @NSEP is go again. Rather quickly too....
  20. ooh which episode is that.... Hounds of Baskerville?
  21. You know... I'm okay with that.
  22. Not sure your opinion on mod based solutions, but TAC fuel balancer can auto transfer fuel in/out of tanks (continuously pump fuel). So maybe that might work? Unless I'm miss understanding something.
  23. Not sure if you tried this already but I wonder what happens if you radially attach 2 landing gear and clip them together to act as one collider so the mass offset is canceled by just having two landing gear on the shaft. So you would end up with more landing gear in the shaft as you would need 2 per side of the shaft so like 4 in total. If that makes any sense. Looks neat though.
  24. I expected that to happen.... but still clicked it. Clicked away before the music though!
