  1. More gravity assists, shorter burns. Venus is your friend
  2. I'm currently giving RO a new go and built my first Sounding Rocket. Unfortunately, as soon as it crashes into the ocean after a wonderful flight the Sounding Rocket "probe core" starts a constant ascend and gets me stuck in-flight without a chance to recover anything. Any leads how I can deal with this issue?
  3. Kept all my mods alive, most of the stuff still seems to work (KAC and Physics Warp seems to be busted though). All in all, after about an hour of gametime the game seems to be MASSIVELY more stable. Good job so far.
  4. 1. & 2. same issue both modded and unmodded (I tried to extrapolate the issue by deactivating mods one by one), therefore irrelevant. 3. To be honest I did not, there were, at the time (May), large threads (in both forums) regarding the issue with a ton of system information for a multitude of configurations.
  5. The game is pretty much unplayable since 1.1.x. Most of the times I can't even play one consecutive hour without crashing in the VAB or SPH (the wonderful one which does not create a crashlog). I usually save every few steps so I don't loose my progress but to be honest, I just can't be arsed to start the game at the moment because of this.
  6. I don't think the docking process in itself is the pain to learn. It's trying to get the rendezvous with the not-so-nimble stock maneuver node system (especially if the target sits in a high orbit). The maneuver system might also be part of the issue why people don't do interplanetary travel (combined with the pain of learning when the transfer window to a certain body is open and learning about the deltaV needs of a trip).
  7. Any news about this one? Because as of today this bug is still around and it makes the game absolutely and totally useless.
