  1. Complaints are needed so they know what is and isn't working - not just on a technical level either. But I'm 38 and I stopped really enjoying the crack addict like FPS that still dominate the marketplace long ago. This is a smart game by a smart company that needs smart fans to stick with it to find a way to reach the mainstream. Boycotts only work with big companies ala the way Microsoft finally had enough people complaining that the Xbox didn't have the specs it could to deliver the best gaming experience for all. They listened and improvements are on the horizon. I have no doubt that there is some serious revamping in the mix with Squad. I'll happily go the way of the uber geek and continue chugging along with my 50+ small landing gear and growing in the hopes that they figure it out eventually. There has never been a game like this and to be on the ground floor of something, even as a consumer, is completely worthwhile - valuable as a life experience and not just a game, is a privilege. This game has taught me some invaluable things about fundamental logic with regard to basic physics. Also, some basic knowledge of why elegant code makes elegant products. The simple fact of understanding the relationship of gravity to matter and how mankind has subjugated it with a need for speed is fascinating. I never really "got" the facts of how celestial bodies orbit on some basic levels until I played this game. Having these kinds of revelations be commonplace for younger generations of youth is an inspiring notion. Keep at it guys - I'll still be bugging you all till the bugs go away, I'm a hack coder at heart so I get it, I'd rather get it done, than right from the start. Test away. Best. AT
  2. Been honing in on the LANDING tech for more than a few hours now. When I researched it, there were two landing gears with the same name, LY-10 Small Landing Gear - I swear, I'm starting to anticipates the bugs now. Anyway. The gears have different pictures and different specs - one looks like a small version of the LY-35 and the other one looks like a little white nub that's even smaller than what I THINK is the LY-10. Anyway, specs on them seem mixed up as well but the kicker is that only the little white ones end up in the editor, the LY-10 (Or little brother of the LY-35 looking from Advanced Landing Tech Tree) don't show up in the editor. To add insult to injury, every time I open the Tech Tree it says I own 5-6 of the LY-10, repeated over and over. I thought this was strange, but then went back in a few more times and now I own a dozen. Makes me wonder what other kinds of bugs there are that aren't blatantly showing their redundancy. When does Squad wanna start paying me? Seriously, this is work. Still love the game though, and yes, still playing...
  3. Yeah, kinda feel like I should be getting paid by now. Still chugging away at the game despite major, major glitches and bugs. Oh well, got nothing better to do at the moment and I'm addicted, this won't fly for much longer though. This is a console labelled forum, unless they put a "Report Bug" button in the console version they aren't going to get anywhere quick, it might be their best option though.
  4. I think he was being, as he said - sarcastic. Let's not forget this is a great game with a company trying really hard to make the cut. Sarcasm^2
  5. To be fair, I don't think Squad is to blame here except with regard to a few management decisions. Flying Tiger should bear the burden here with regard to the adaptation (port) to the consoles. I think they probably bit off more than they could chew going to both PS4 and Xbox as it sounds like PS4 is having even more trouble than the Xbox. Unfortunately, I fear the game, still isn't getting enough of the right kind of attention, despite relative media publishing glowing reviews (no Goo pun intended). It's unfortunate that for whatever reason Microsoft hasn't allowed them to launch under the new game preview mode, as this would have been a perfect choice for the sub-genre of development. I love the game and hope it gets up and going with enough support from the community of fans that are growing on Xbox. It's a rarity for an indie game to be rated so highly on the star system and not be rewarded with proper sales figures to be able to work out the kinks. Maybe this is just a case of trying to get to orbit for the first time, wherein their height is 580,000 meters? Maybe they have the cash to bring the right people on board mid-launch (with regard to the consoles)? Maybe they won't learn from their mistakes and quit? It's gonna be dramatic, one way or another - hopefully - otherwise I'm gonna keep crashing the whole game while crashing on the Mun. Honestly, it's kind of a nice throwback to the PC games of old, lets just hope it doesn't go the way of Quest For Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness. I share the sentiment.
  6. Playing this game on Xbox is a challenge in and of itself. The game could really fly if the controls merge better. I'm left wondering though if in the hangers - will the camera control ever be simplified? A simple strafing movement in conjunction with the zoom would go a long way...
  7. Been playing for about 40 hours. I swear it took 30 to get used to the control mapping on the Xbox. This could really use a close look at Elite Dangerous in comparison with regard to ease of use. The way the controls are mapped doesn't make sense fundamentally. Why isn't Yaw on the triggers? Doesn't it seem like Pitch & Roll should be left stick? Why do so many functions say Right Bumper or Left Bumper + X? It's confusing enough without having the option of choosing a bumper to push. Makes me feel like I'm missing something fundamental here. Why aren't the bumpers mapped differently for holds? Is there going to be a redux on the left stick mouse cursor sensitivity? It tracks pretty binary, like going from 0-100 half way through stick movements.
  8. Downloaded the update for Xbox about 5 hours ago. Said that it needed to convert my saves. I converted them. Played my career for about 5 hours. Quicksave as... files started loading randomly with regard to title, multiple reloads eventually loaded correct save. B button stopped working to select craft parts while in orbit - then restarted KSP and my career was gone. Is this the save game issue that was supposed to be fixed today?
