  1. The fact that us console players have been ignored by Squad AND Blitworks for over a year now just confirms to me that leaving KSP for Space Engineers was a good decision. The disappointment is exacerbated even further by all these posts from people with fond memories of this game, whereas is us on console have consistently suffered from bugs that go unfixed for years (the J404 Panther and JX-4 STILL have that horrible crackling sound bug from 3 years ago), an absolute lack of any content or updates, and literally no mention of what's happening for us. So honestly this news does really nothing for me. It's not even a surprise at this point. We still don't even have 1.10, but that's not really a problem as long as the main fans are happy. I hope you enjoyed my $45 Squad, because you aren't getting anymore from me.
  2. I am rather upset that us console players have in the span of three years received a broken game, and a re-release with 3 updates that still haven't helped the performance of the game. So I apologize if I'm a little skeptical about this new game, given the less than stellar track record for consoles. Plus it's another $60 on top of the previous $50 I spent in which I still don't have a fully working game. Let's just hope this new release for consoles actually gets the attention it needs and doesn't stagnate.
  3. Most of my craft with that much parts are replica military fighters, and they have FPS drops no matter the speed. Map view sometimes helps. Oh? I haven't played the game since. They fixed it?
  4. This latest update for the console version pretty much ruined the game. If there are any flags near your craft, the FPS would drop to less than 5. And when there's a flagpole by default at KSC, you're not launching anything. As for craft, my jets have less than 70 parts on average, and it still hovers around 10fps. Only when I have crafts with less than 25 parts do I get a solid 30FPS or more.
  5. I like testing creating atmospheric fighter jets and planning and executing long distance multi craft missions (think a satellite relay in orbit above Laythe with an drone jet plane for science) myself. Unfortunately as stated previously, FPS drops to less than 10 prevent any enjoyment. Also we plebs on console don't get the luxury of mods like MechJeb.
  6. I haven't really even touched KSP for about 4 months. There's really nothing to keep me interested. Once you get to the point where you can leave the Kerbin SOI, the game gets too laggy to properly enjoy.
  7. I'm not blaming the devs. I'm blaming preemptive release date announcements.
  8. Yeah, I know. But it's disappointing because I was looking forward to launching KSP for the first time in months seeing a nice new update. I even had automatic downloads enabled so I wouldn't have to wait. But finding out it was delayed just hurts.
  9. The fact that they still have to fix bugs after we got a release date for an update does not bode well for me. If they missed some and have to fix them now, what else are they gonna miss?
  10. Wow. Delayed! Why am I getting a huge dose of deja vu? Thanks Squad. You got my hopes up and promptly gave me my reason back to distrust you.
  11. According to the KSP Loading, the next update is "very soon", so take that as you will. What's another month for me? I've got Ace Combat 7 and DW2 to keep me occupied until then.
  12. *Joined one hour ago* Yeah, I'll take that statement at face value. Also, 1.7 is for PC. We're still on 1.1.
  13. Well unfortunately, since all we've gotten since the last patch was more of the same "It's in development", I've had a hard time believing anything regarding an update. So far, EE is following the same exact path that the FTE port went down. So I apologize if I'm a bit apprehensive.
  14. Well as of now KSP is too frustrating with the constant framerate drops and bugs. So Elite is the only space game I've got left. And don't even bother telling me about No Man's Sky. Tried it, and didn't like it.
  15. Heh. Elite Dangerous took KSP's place on the mantel for a space exploration game. Sure FDev sucks ass at giving good payouts for the game, but Elite runs absolutely beautifully, runs at a sumptuous 60fps, allows you to explore all 400 billion stars in our galaxy, engage in frenetic space combat, explore the surfaces of planets, etc.
  16. You're still waiting? I've abandoned this game weeks ago.
  17. Well, nobody aside from the few of us console lurkers left seem to even notice the comments about us, so I'm not really surprised. As long as they're given flashy new parts, we disappear from the forum radar screens faster than a B-2 bomber. Unfortunately, if my KSP game isn't updated by January 18th, then there's little chance I'll be playing it again.
  18. Heh, I don't know why you ask. Anytime someone mentions the word "console", that post immediately falls off the radar of the rest of the forum. Well, hope you guys enjoy your nice things...
  19. Unfortunately, I'm very apprehensive to believe this. We haven't gotten a single sentence worth of mention in over four months, which clearly shows how much we matter to Squad. If this was the case, there's nothing preventing them from saying "Hey console players, we know you've been neglected, but we've been trying to get a contract for another update to bring you guys up to PC specs. We hope to have more news in the future." But no, they've just been ignoring us. Seems they've learned some new tricks from their greedy parent company now. Unfortunately, I've got so many reasons to not trust Squad and especially Take Two. I've played enough of their games to know that T2 is only ever in it for the money (looking at you GTA). AFAIAC, I'm done with KSP, Squad, and T2. Say what you want, but my experience with all three has been nothing short of abysmal. And that's saying something because I give every game I get a chance, and I really loved KSP. Oh well. Maybe some other outsourced company will give us an update in 2021 or so...
  20. Wow... Even after the lively discussion in last week's Weekly, we still don't have anything for Enhanced Edition. Squad really doesn't notice us asking for news or really care, do they. I'm calling it now. We're done getting updates. Thanks guys. You've made me hate you once again. If anyone cares (let's be fair, they don't), I'll be on Elite Dangerous waiting for Ace Combat 7 if you need me.
  21. Yeah, God forbid I do that while waiting for over two years for a decently playable game. If anything, Squad has slapped all of us console players in the face by consistently leaving us in the dark and casting us off. (Apologies for two posts. Phone limitations prevent me from double quoting.)
  22. Yep. You get my point exactly. As a console player, I feel I've been shafted of $50 and much of my time because I put my hopes in a dev that said they'd put a good space sim on my Xbox. But ever since we got it back in 2016, it's been a fiasco since. I've heard that history often repeats itself. Well right now, these weeklies are exactly what started us on a 400+ day wait for a playable game. AFAIK, Squad decided that we're not worth the effort, and let all contractual obligations expire so they could focus only on PC. What really saddens me is that I've loved KSP as an idea, but everything about its execution went south. Sadly, I haven't touched KSP since the last update, electing to play Elite: Dangerous instead. As for me comparing SR2 to KSP, I'm entirely within my rights as a purchaser of Squad's game to compare it to (what's in my eyes) a rival game. Going off the success of SimplePlanes, I've no doubt that SR2 will be so much better than the sorry state of consoles right now. As for advertising it, I just wanted to let my fellow console plebs know that there are other options.
  23. Well, if it's any consolation, Jundroo (the creators of SimplePlanes) are planning on releasing SimpleRockets 2 by October, which is just like KSP, only it works and you can play it on your phone. https://www.simplerockets.com/
  24. @SQUAD So is it safe to assume we're not getting anymore updates on console? I'd really like to know so I can stop coming here every Friday in the hopes that it still is.
