  1. @cantab @Elthy @legoclone09 @steve_v @Ten Key Thank you guys for helping me out last month! I ended up deciding to build my first pc. It definitely has not been put to the test fully yet but I built a beast! I know it might be overkill but why not. i7 6700k / 32GB RAM / GTX 1080 No idea how to post a picture on here unfortunately
  2. Definitely the most frustrating one for me as well. I think it would be cool if they could somehow add that function to the touch pad on PS4 and you could swipe between planets. Not sure how they would handle that for xb1.
  3. Agreed. The use of a keyboard is what made me go away from PC gaming back in the day but I think there are just too many controls for KSP to reasonably limit to a controller. Manageable but I find myself hitting the wrong button quite often.
  4. Woo! @UomoCapra @Badie Do you know if the control scheme will be changing at all with the new dev? Or do they plan on keeping the same? Any potential for keyboard/mouse support?
  5. @Sublight I hope that is able to help some other XBoxers. Unfortunately I am on PS4. The save corruption will happen mid gameplay so it isn't just upon exiting. Thanks for the help either way!
  6. @cantab @Elthy @legoclone09 @steve_v Awesome! Thanks guys. It looks like it comes with an EVGA 80+ bronze rated. So I'm thinking I may be ok temporarily and replace that at a later date.
  7. Ok I will look into that. I should rephrase my original question though. What affects will I notice with a lower quality psu? Will it affect gameplay or put components at higher risk? Thanks for all the help!
  8. Thanks @rkarmark! Unfortunately I don't know enough about the different components to do much. I reposted this in another thread and got some good answers from people with specific parts mapped out using that site.
  9. What is the concern for the psu? Again I know nothing as this will be my first PC. Edit: This is made by Microcenter's in house brand. From my understanding it looks like they allow some level of customization in store even on pre-built. If I were to change the PSU what would you recommend?
  10. @legoclone09 @Camacha What do you guys think of this build: http://www.microcenter.com/product/467635/G313_Desktop_Computer It seems to have many similar components but is well under budget. There is also this one: http://www.microcenter.com/product/467612/G418_Desktop_Computer Would the lower cost option still be good enough? What would be the noticeable trade offs between the options? Thanks!
  11. Thanks @legoclone09, @Camacha, and @Elthy. That definitely gives me a good starting point.
  12. I am potentially interested in building a gaming PC. I am a lifelong console gamer who hasn't gamed on a PC in 10+ years. As the console port is having serious technical issues I am debating the idea of going to PC gaming again. I would want to design a system somewhat optimized for KSP but obviously have the ability for others as well. Things I am looking for: -4K at a decent frame rate (I know KSP isn't 4K) -Cooling features are a must, that room I plan on putting it is not the coolest -All peripherals except monitor -I am fine with a trial/watermarked version of Windows. But if there is a specific version of Windows that KSP is best on I am open to purchase. -Wanting to go as high end as possible with graphics card within stated budget (below) -Rough budget $1500 Thanks for any help or suggestions.
  13. Thanks @Starhawk. I'll take a look/possibly repost over there.

Thanks!
  15. Thanks for the responses everybody. @Badie thanks for the response. All good sometimes bad things happen. I hope you guys are able to resolve the issues reasonably soon to help the more "pitchforky" crowd. I know nothing about development/programming but if there is anyway I could be of assistance (recreating bugs, testing, giving FTE a stern talking to haha, anything you guys can come up with) please let me know. @V7 Aerospace I think you are spot on. I will probably keep the console limited to sports games or console exclusives and then use the PC for larger more content heavy games. @OrbitalBuzzsaw @monstahunfortunately that is exactly why I got out of PC gaming, I can't stand using a keyboard and mouse for most games. However in doing some research it looks as if you can now connect a PS4 controller to a PC. I will probably do that for most games. For KSP I'm hoping a blend would be possible. I'd like to use the controller for most flight & camera controls and then keep other items such as staging, translational rcs, and others to the keyboard. Does anyone know if that is possible? @Dman979 no save corruption would be glorious!
