  1. Those are radiators, the core was pressurized and kept at earth-like temperatures. This way they could use simpler electronics for the missions.
  2. Take a look at the wiki documentation and obviously on the files provided by this mod. But be aware that BDB is a huge mod and you'll have to write a patch for almost all parts. So be prepared to write a few hundred patches just for this mod
  3. You will have to wait until the mod author writes the configs for that mod, you can vote in the OP for the next mod (I think BDB is already leading there anyway). If you have some knowledge with modding you can write your own CFGs to adjust the parts.
  4. I just wanted to say a few words of praise. Although I am taking a break from KSP at the moment, I like to read your report again and again. The high quality of the pictures/plans and the alternation between the rockets and the airplanes have particularly impressed me. Keep up the good work
  5. Hey @Zorg, really nice screenshots! I assume you're using KS3P for post processing. Would you mind sharing your config file?
  6. Hey! I really enjoy your writing style Hope to see more soon and keep the good work up Btw: Do you have any suggestions on how to make the blueprints so good looking?
  7. Thanks! All other mods are still scaled for a 2.5/3.2x system just like the stock parts, right?
  8. Shouldn't be a problem if the styles are similar, so I can 'abuse' the parts for my own designs I'll test them and decide, if the rockets still resemble the real life counterparts it will be played as an American/Russian/etc. influenced space program... The only problem I see is that from what I remember it's hard to mix Tantares and BDB, as the style of the mods is a bit different, especially the colors. But I guess that's to expect, as the real Russian/American parts are quite different. I don't remember using KNES and benjee's mods, so it's time to check them out...
  9. Thanks @Tyko and @Zorg I'll have a look
  10. So i have recently switched to Restock and the artstyle is perfect! However, some mods now seem a bit 'out of place' now. So my question: Which part mods would you recommend to use alongside Restock (and possibly the Near Future packs)? Thanks!
  11. Hey, I placed your launch pads and set them up as launch sites, however I can't see this window. When I choose the launch pad in the KK menu, it still spawns the rocket on the normal launch pad. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks
  12. I am using Koronal Vessel Viewer:
  13. The R-1 Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile RT006, first test of the Downscaled Test Vehicle RT007, another DSTV-1 test flight RT008, third flight of DSTV-1 After RT008 Wernher decided to improve the last Downscaled Test Vehicle for the next flight. Besides that he works on a smaller Sounding Rocket.
  14. The new rocket: Rocket Tests 4 and 5: After two unsuccessful missions Gene and Wernher decided to focus on liquid fueled rockets. From the Intelligence Department they knew that krussian engineers are working on 1,2m Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles (IRBM).To remain competetive in the space race they announced the "Project R-1" and its predecessor, a downscaled version of the R-1. 16. Hi, I am starting a somewhat realistic career as the C7 Aerospace Division, which is starting their rocket program. The scenario is similar to the real cold war. I am starting in the 1940s on the side of the United States of... i dont know how to call them. However, the company´s goal is to finally beat the Krussians! Modlist: Difficulty Settings: Launches: Acronyms: I will post new missions every two or three days.
