Does KSP simulate the the Magnus effect?
Human Person replied to Drugged Plumber's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Let's find out! Can't be too tricky to test in KSP. -
Ok Wait! Don't tell me what to do! Wait! Stop manipulating me!

Wait a minute, did this actually just work?

How about using Tweakscale to make really tiny landers? What penalty would it cause?

Are there any planets/moons you don't like? If so, why?
Human Person replied to MythicalHeFF's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Moho: Great challenge getting there, interesting geology. Eve: My all time favorite body in the system: come on, super high gravity, dense atmosphere, high mountains, oceans. Super challenging. Eve has it all! Gilly: Boring. The super low gravity makes landing very tedious. It's only purpose seems to be mining outpost for Eve missions. Mun: Pretty average, boring. I don't like the grey color Minmus: Too easy, but I like it for it's look. Duna: looks nice, the thin atmosphere makes it somehow unique. Ther could be some more geology going on. Ike: I hate Ike, it's just annoying. Laythe: Too much ocean Tylo: Love it for the Challenge of landing there, Tylo's fine. Vall: Beautiful. I like Vall for its look. Bob: Meh, but the Kraken is worth a visit. Pol: Landing is just tedious, and it's ugly. Eeloo: I like Eeloo, but I can't quite put my finger on why. -

You, I like you! -
Wow, great work on the Making History Expansion! Now I can't wait even more! the vernier engines have this aerodynamic cover, great for ataching them radially, but arent they usually attached to the bottom of tanks? I think it would be better to have them like regular engines, with a node but also surface-atachable (same attachment rules as an aerospike or vector). Not having that inline node always bothered me with the O-10 engine. If you need them radially, you can easily make a workaround with a tiny nosecone.

KSP Challenge: Landing on Duna!
Human Person replied to Darth Badie's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
This challenge is really fun. I want to redo it and try to build as light as possible with SRB only. -

Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!
Human Person replied to vexx32's topic in Forum Games!
Granted, you're wherever she is, thereby you're not able to do the things anymore that are the reason you didn't move where she is. Those things must have been really important as they kept you from moving there in the first place and now you're neglecting them, ha! Wait! That doesn't sound very corrupted ... You also get hit by a car! I wich I would always be happy. -

KSP Challenge: Landing on Duna!
Human Person replied to Darth Badie's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
@MiniMatt very nice looking Rover! I tried making a video too, but Shadowplay wouldn't save the recordings. -
Depends wich Converter you're using. http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Ore http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Liquid_fuel http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Oxidizer So... Ore is twice as dense as fuel, but the big converter converts 1 unit of ore into 2 units of fuel, meaning your vessel's mass stays the same when converting ore to fuel. the small converter inputs more ore and outputs less fuel, so you should use this one on the surface.

Getting an RC joystick to work with KSP?
Human Person replied to manifold's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I really like the Idea of controlling KSP with an RC Controller. It would make rovers, planes and everything else feel more like toys. Unfortunately, I can't help you with this, but I'm very interested in the idea. I guess the main problem is the interface, getting the remote to communicate with the PC Mac? -

KSP Challenge: Landing on Duna!
Human Person replied to Darth Badie's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
I'll try to send a rover using only solid fuel and monopropellant Monopropellant will only be used for corrections, e.g. the last 30m/s to circularize, a hand full of m/s to correct the transfer burn, a bit for a mid-course correction, a little bit for landing. Forget that, I did SRB only!
