  1. So I have a worthless pile of trash internet connection that struggles to stream 360p video. I've been gone for a while, and the game has gone up a few hundred MB since then. Is there by any chance a torrent option available for downloading the game? Otherwise it's not going to happen. Traditional downloads will just fail for no reason. I know at one point the KSP Store actually offered a torrent version, but I don't see it there now. I'm also open to download managers that actually work, if you know of any. Thanks! DISCLAIMER: Torrents are not illegal, cracked games are. The website did at one point offer this as an alternative download option and I'm just asking if it's still around.
  2. lol hi D: are you a brony ? xd

  3. User #2214 reporting in! I haven't been super active on the forums, and I don't play the game continuously between releases but I've been around since the start. Crazy how things have changed!
  4. A long time ago I had this huge trip planned to Laythe with my best crew onboard. I play with crew respawns disabled so I try all I can to keep them alive but I'm really bad with orbital maneuvers and fuel management, but I thought I had compensated enough. Anyway, I got to Laythe and detached my lander to take Jeb and Bill down to the surface. All good so far, I was feeling great about it. They frolicked about and had their fun, then returned to the lander to rendezvous with the return stage where Bob and I believe another Kerbal, probably Doodhat, were waiting. But I had forgot the parachutes and had to do a powered landing, which used too much fuel so I couldn't quite make it back into orbit. The lander was sub orbital and decaying rapidly, over the course of maybe five minutes. I switched to the transfer and burned down to get close to the lander (it was high enough that I could force a change to a different craft to put it on rails so it didn't decay until I got close) but there was way too much turbulence to dock it. So I took a risk and EVA'd Bill out and flew to the transfer stage without too much trouble but I was going down fast. I switched back and got Jeb out. The wind was getting really strong and I almost lost him but made it back to the transfer stage. I thought I was clear but the ship had a TWR of like 0.5, even on Laythe. I burned with all my might but ultimately fell to the planet's surface. I fought to the bitter end, pointing the crew capsules up to maybe have a nice crumple zone. There was a 4-crew capsule near the top with Jeb in his own pod as the tip, and upon impact everything was destroyed but Jeb's pod. He was the only survivor. He was the one I was most worried about losing, but in the process of saving him I lost three other amazing Kerbals and Jeb was stranded. It was a very bitter victory.
  5. I've seen it a few times, but I was thinking you meant that you found it in the game. Like you landed next to it or something. Is it in the game? Or is it just a menu gag?
  6. I'm terrible at refueling missions. My Kerbals pray that their gas light never comes on, lest they have to get out and push.
  7. No, not specifically for KSP but I do have a pretty new machine I built to replace my old 3770k machine (gave that to my mom to play ESO and the Witcher 3 on) [email protected] Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2600MHz CL14 quad channel 4x4GB Intel 520 120GB SSD Seagate 2TB 7200RPM Gigabyte SOC Champion X99 EVGA 980Ti Hybrid water cooled I'm itching to update it with a newer, bigger SSD but I'm trying to save for a new car and I haven't even fully paid off the 980Ti yet...
  8. I am ashamed to say I didn't realize what was going on until halfway through the post.
  9. I'm only 21 and I remember playing with trains I had this one little cheap one that had a little motor in it and would pull itself and two other carts around a small track. I spent countless hours moving the track up and down and putting objects in one of the carts to see just how much horsepower(mousepower?) that train had. Sadly, the bottleneck was its traction from the plastic wheels on a plastic track. But I could still get it to climb up inclines while carrying a spare AA battery in a cart. Fun times.
  10. YES. I love it! Kerbal Space Program: firing marble desks into space since 2011.
  11. aren't aerospikes fairly heavy, too?
  12. Floating off the coast of the Space Center in a plane with no wings or engines. I was trying to recreate a scene from a book I read and failed, but didn't crash hard enough to destroy any part of the fuselage...just the wings and engines.
