  1. I haven't touched the directory till just now, so I'm not sure why it didn't download. I only recently moved to steam, but figured it wouldn't have problems. I know in the old days I often would have pieces that had failed to download when trying to get it off Squad's burning servers, but didn't think I'd get that with steam... oh well.
  2. It must be some sort of thing on my end because I still have asteroid training missions and scenarios, but it can't load the ships for them because it says it doesn't have the parts. Should I just move my saves out and redownload?
  3. Please tell me I'm the only one with SLS parts (including the claw!) gone in their .90 update? And how to fix it if it's just me? I mean, how in the world am I supposed to grapple asteroids properly without a claw?! Would be technically possible, but a huge pain in the rear... I did notice that I only have a "Squad" folder in my gamedata folder... If I remember right there used to be a NASA one or something.
  4. Thanks, but I really wasn't looking for a way to calculate angles. That really isn't too hard. That is a nice thing though, so thank you. I really am looking for a way such that I don't have to do it by eye and can be much more precise. When you're on a tight fuel budget or just want things to be more precise that's nice. And some of us are better at judging angles by eye than others haha. I'm pretty bad at it, as I'm sure some other people are too. But I really don't want an autopilot or calculator to do the work for me necessarily. I like being able to do the work on my own, but measuring the angle is another thing. The best I can do is put a protractor up to the screen, but that's really annoying and of limited use. All I want is something to tell me what angle 2 interplanetary bodies are from each other at any given moment. I suppose that mod does that, so I may use that, but I don't really want the autopilot or the other information that is calculated per se. All I want is the measurement. I can do calculations from there.
  5. Does anyone know of any good (hopefully free or very cheap) program that allows you to (while leaving background programs showing) click on 3 points in order to measure the angle, or some other program that would allow you to more precisely measure the angle between the planetary bodies' orbits? Right now it seems most people I know have to hold up a physical protractor to their screen, which is pretty sad. So please post your favorite on-screen protractor programs here if you find any.
  6. Woah woah woah... Tylo has a surface gravity amount of 7.85?! Is that right? I mean I kinda expected Laythe to, and I suppose Tylo isn't a whole lot smaller, but it seems weird for them to be exactly the same, as well as the float point gravity of Jool... I kinda expected Tylo to have gravity more along the lines of Duna, maybe a bit more. Honestly, if it's that high... why wouldn't it have some atmosphere? I mean I know that a poor magnetosphere has some to do with it as well (especially when closer to the sun and the solar winds are higher), but it isn't close to the sun, and has more than twice the surface gravity of Mars (and Duna), and Mars is closer as well as has an awful magnetosphere. Something doesn't seem right to me about Tylo having that high a surface gravity...
  7. Surely the 4 characters are devs or historically significant figures...
  8. Wow. There's some amazing stuff here. I still am looking through it all and finding new stuff. This thread is amazing. Some of it is stuff I'd heard before but never knew the name of, and some is completely new to me but also amazing like Two Steps from Hell. Might I also recommend Audiomachine? They also have some amazing "epic" music. Here's one I think fits KSP missions particularly well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO2HNDQGzZg&feature=related
  9. How about: "I don't always fly spacecraft, but when I do even the landing legs are explosive." That's the best I got for the quote. Amazing drawing btw!
  10. pics or it didn't happen. do. I understand if you can't really see them from any particular surface shot, but it shows the kerbals as kerbals in the orbital map view so that should do pretty well.
