  1. So for whatever reason my oceans are not loading in. I.e when my vessel splashes down it's just floating in space above where the 'surface' of the oceans should be. Any fix?
  2. I personally love the shadow it makes on takeoff. looks like an alien insignia or something...
  3. Is there any reason why the second is named after a type of cheese?
  4. Im a life scout, and am currently in "limbo" with my eagle project. The red cross are soooo slooow replying to any of my questions...
  5. Actually, on Eve, that periapsis would probably kill you instantly. if I remember correctly, Eve atmosphere extends well above 115Km, so an periapsis of around 90 or so should put you in the hotseat. Just hopefully not to hot...
  6. When I started way back in .15, they had just added space planes. I made the fatal mistake to think that "Space planes were easy". Some of my other mistakes was instead of starting a gravity turn in the atmosphere, I would burn straight up till my Ap came to 100Km, then, upon reaching this, burn straight 90 degree's sideways. So many weird orbits because of that. Another one, when landing on the Mun, i would burn straight sideways at about 25 Km up, till i was dropping straight down. Then suicide burn vertically.
  7. Fixed my sig Thanks for catching that, I have had that sig for close to 1 1/2 years now, and never caught that.. :
  8. yeah, i keep the temp bars off. I personally dont like all the little bars pinging around on my screen.
  9. So, after jeb flew a fantastic landing on the Mun, and a great return, he had to re-enter. He placed his periapsis at 28K, what, at the time, he thought was a safe altitude. As he barreled into the atmosphere, going close to 3,000 m/s, he realized he made a huge mis-calculation... As his ablator burned away in a wink, he made his final prayers. But it turned he didn't have to, He survived... barely.. 0.01, What a close call!
  10. Dear OP, Once you do make biomes for all of the planets/moons, you will have to fill in information for all of them for science instruments. While i may not know anything about the actual code itself, i can write up some messages for the crew reports, science etc. Just thought I could help around a little bit
  11. Dude, I'm still running ksp on my 8 year old pc. 2 gigs only, yet I can still get acceptable frame rates 28-50 even with 200 part ships. How? I don't know. It is also a vista POS so
  12. Hello! Recently I flew a 2 1/2 hour mission to the poles to get some temp readings for a contract. I was running low on fuel, so I decided to just put it down on the flat poles, ( and TBH, i was not in any type of mood to fly this rust bucket back for another 2 1/2 hours). I was curios as to what the the local temp was, and lo and behold, a scorching 456 degrees ferenheight! I though it might have been just some heat build up from my descent, but the fastest speed i ever hit was just over 105 m/s, not even close to fast enough to build up so much heat. I also double checked with 2 other pairs of thermometers, all giving me this same number. Is this just a bug? or is there some other explanation for this high temp? -Sky
  13. I am building a power relay station for my space planes using plasma and Attila thrusters, so I waned to know at what altitude geosynchronous orbit is around Kerbin, so that my powers satellites are always aiming power at the same location. I plan to put them at intervals so that there are 5 power sats Thanks!
