  1. Here's my attempt. Nothing extravagant, and not an insanely high score, but it was fun no less. Primary mission objective (+20): Stock or Mod parts*. Separate leaderboard for each. Using a mission profile of 1-2 launches and a two-Kerbal crew, orbit both Kerbals around the Mun and return the crew to Kerbin. Up to three missions may be launched if a Munar rescue mission is launched. Bonus points: Mission Direct Ascent (+4): Using a single launch, establish a crewed Munar orbit. Landing prestige: One Kerbal on the Mun (+7). Second Kerbal on the Mun (+4). Faster, better, cheaper - Rover bonus (+0): You can't afford a rover on the Gemini budget. Capsule Happy together (+3): Both crew members are never separated by more than 10km Just in case (+3): Launch Escape System present Lifter Won't Apollo miss that Saturn 5? (+6): At least one rocket uses a 5 engine first stage and a 5 engine second stage. Lander Dropping some weight (+3): At least one of the primary or backup Munar surface return vessels leaves behind its Munar descent stage. Recovery Welcome home (+10): Both crew return to Kerbin We can take it (+3): Be able to safely return to Kerbin on water or land without damage. Score: 63 Mods used: KW Rocketry, Engineering Redux, Kosmos (only part used was the flood light. I like the small profile of them better than the bulky stock lights.)
  2. Gemini, huh? Fresh. This is a nice change of pace to the Mun. I'm in. But, can we have a stock/mods distinction? I've got a great looking craft that uses a lot of KW Rocketry parts, but I didn't see that the first mission requirement was that this is stock. Cheers.
  3. My first space station was smashed to pieces when I accidentally deleted a mod I thought I didn't use any longer, so I restarted the endeavor. I've got to say I'm happy that happened, because this space station turned out so much better. It is heavily inspired by the ISS, but not necessarily a recreation of it.
  4. That would be incredible. I wonder how the rings would be rendered though; if we could get all of the detail once you get close, or if there would be the real hazard of trying to get through the rings without hitting any of the many tiny pieces that make up the rings. That's quite a nice looking lander too.
  5. Here's my first real contribution to the KSP Forums after quite some time playing around with this game. I present to you Sphex Pensylvanicus MkV. I went through four different versions of this; some small, some much larger, but ultimately I am happy where this one is sitting. It can only achieve LKO, rendezvous, attack, and return, but that may just be my crappy piloting skills. Maybe somebody with a bit more skill can get it higher? Maybe I'm doing something completely wrong. The two missiles work. Most of the time. Since 0.19, missiles don't seem to work quite as well as they used to. I've tweaked these so much my head hurts, but I got them to fly mostly straight. You will have to aim slightly off-set if you want to hit your target though. Action Groups: 1 - Jet Engine Toggle 2 - Jet Engine/Rocket Toggle 3 - Intake Toggle 7 - Left Missile 8 - Right Missile 0 - Ladder Toggle Without further a due, some pretty pictures to look at! Moving with incredible velocity! So pretty. I hit it! Quite by accident I think, but I hit it! Happy flying! Craft File
