  1. It is 2016, version 1.1.3 and this thing still occurs(((
  2. You should take in account the nature of the surface the wheels are riding. The friction force should not linearly depend on downforce. There is much stuff happening on contact surface depending on surface and tyre type. Spiked wheels, for example, insert their spikes into the surface, acting like gears and providing good grip, which does not change much with force. Treaded tyres have non-linear dependency on soft surfaces. Even narrow slick tyres can dig into a soft surface, providing great increase in lateral grip.
  3. That's ok. Thanks for quick reply. Thought that DRE 7.1 was compatible with all 1.0x KSP versions.
  4. Please be informed, current DRE 7.1.0 with combination with FAR v0.15.3.1 slows things down to a crawl in 1.04. (At least on my AMD FX@4600MHz a 30 part ship is already slow) Removing either of mods returns FPS to normal. Checked on 1.04 with no other mods installed. Reproduction: install DRE&FAR, try default KerbalX ship in sandbox. *update: Starwaster confirmed that DRE is not updated for KSP 1.04 yet, so this should not be the FAR issue.

  6. I suppose it was the last Trajectories build that fixed the issue. Did not perform much testing though.....
  7. Maybe introduce a "signal strength" bar depending on the current/max distance to the first sat on the path from subject craft to KSC or command centre?
  8. If you have a huge amount of dV, you can avoid elliptic transfer and travel straight. Should be faster))
  9. That's right. By default DRE is some kind of realistic. It has an option to simulate 7 km/s heat at Kerbin size/speed. Check the manual.
  10. Excellent! Support the comments of the post before. And, IMHO, this should be stock Because lots of tiny temperature gauges make it a bit ugly, great for "fine tuning" a newly designed craft, but for further use one gauge is pretty enough.
