  1. Thank you for your continued work! This looks like a very solid first patch already.
  2. Jool looks absolutely incredible. I have never seen a gas giant depicted with such accuracy and beauty in any game, ever. The volumetric clouds are mind blowing. @ the dev who designed Jool: Pat yourself on the back will ya?
  3. It's good to see you getting on top of this quickly Linuxgurugamer. You've been a boon to the modding community for years now, guide us through these turbulent times!
  4. FYI, the reason you haven't heard anything is because the weekend just ended. There is no work during the weekends.
  5. Apparently I've had this account since 2013. Whoa. KSP has been a part of my life for a long time. Anyway, I'm jumping on the hype train! Bit late but I'm excited! Let's play this beautiful mess of a game.
  6. Oh, I've been wanting to try this mod. Thanks Linux.
  7. How would I have done that? Not sure what you mean, sorry. I rescaled the normal map and exported in DXT5nm to the same location. edit: Wait I think I understand what you're saying, brb Edit 2: I got it! Everything looks nominal. I accidentally exported Kerbin00.dds with DXT5nm compression, when it should've just been DXT5. I'm guessing this is what you meant? Anyway looks like I'm set now. Thanks fellas.
  8. Ok I think I'm getting closer and I'm learning a bit along the way. The textures and lighting look right after I used DXT5nm for the normal maps but now... Kerbin is red... Where did I go wrong here? Edit: Do I have to rescale the gradient .dds files as well? What compression would they export in?
  9. Probably not. Which compressions do I have to use? With BC3 / DXT5 I seem to be getting actual textures but the lighting is very wacky still.
  10. Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'd like to downscale the planet textures from the mod JNSQ from 8k down to 2k, for obvious performance reasons. I assumed this would be as simple as resizing the .dds files in GIMP (using a DDS editor plugin), but when I use the resized .dds files in place of the original 8k .dds files, every planet texture in-game is broken. Completely black. Am I overlooking something? Kinda at my wits end here. Thank in advance.
  11. Wait, I might have figured it out! Apparently, the blue message pop-ups are from an (outdated) mod called Strategia, and it doesn't play well with Kerbalism, which relies on constant transmission of science. I'm going to try disabling Strategia and see if that solves the issue.
  12. Been having this issue for a while and I can't find anything about it online, so I thought I'd ask here: So I installed a 1.7.3 modded KSP game, and any time science is transmitted on ANY of my crafts (doesn't have to be the active vessel), these annoying "+0.0 (Science Transmitted)" messages appear floating above my craft, or under the science counter in the KSC screen. They also still appear even when I turn off the HUD. Does anyone know what mod they're from and how to disable them? I was thinking Kerbalism, but I can't find anything in the settings.cfg to disable them. My mod list: Examples: Thank you!
  13. If only you know how long I've waited for something like this to appear. Thank you Based Lack.
