The "You know you're playing a lot of KSP when..." thread

But not by much - the fuel is a much greater percentage of a rocket's mass than a car's -
You could try undocking and redocking until all of the ports connect fully

Download kerbal engineer - very useful to see how much delta-v your craft has in the VAB. Use this handy delta-v map to see how much you need to get to your destination.
-
It might work in the game, just as works in the game, but would never work in real life

Those orange fuel tanks do have a habit of making the whole rocket unstable, and make engines directly under them (particularly mainsails) overheat really easily. I prefer to use two 32's instead of one jumbo 64. Btw, have you killed jeb? I don't see him in the bottom right;.;

This wouldn't work. When you attract the magnet back, it will exert an equal and opposite force on your craft, pulling you towards it by the same amount that it just pushed you away before its polarity was reversed. Energy/mass and momentum will always be conserved

What would you consider to be the most reliable stock rocket?

Definately soyuz -
Kethane Pack 0.9.2 - New cinematic trailer! - 1.0 compatibility update
mk78123 replied to Majiir's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yes, kethane now has a density of 2000 kg m^-3, as opposed to liquid fuel and oxidiser's density of 5000 kg m^-3. -
How do you land it vertically? I try to kill horizontal velocity, and it usually results in a nose dive which doesn't work out well for jeb;.; I can fly it very nicely otherwise and can comfortably achieve orbit. Nice design!

That's not stock - the bigger one is but the smaller one must be one of those mods
-
Nice stuff - keep it up!

At the far reaches of the solar system solar panels produce much less energy, so there would be a point where the energy they produced would be zero or near zero

What's your favorite mun/planet in the kerbolsystem?

I just love minmus for some reason. And Vall -
Wow, never knew that. Would certainly be useful in external view. It can often be infuriating, particularly with a slow turning craft, spinning around trying to find the blue marker while you sail past the burn point

I agree a rover would be an idea for a second mission
