  1. I bet it was the Airtech Claw Rig, from 1992:
  2. I found this article on Rock-Paper-Shotgun about Valve's new Greenlight service. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/09/05/green-for-greenlight-valve-now-charging-100-fee/#more-123152 I'm curious to see what you all have to say, but I must ask: -READ the ENTIRE article! -PLEASE keep it civil! My personal stance on this change: It was a logical step for Valve, since their service was being overrun by those who would abuse it. I do think that the price is a little high at 100 USD; I would drop it down to 75 USD myself. However, the fee is going towards the Child's Play charity, and it's a one-time fee for the developer. Overall, I can't really think of any other way that Valve would be able to police the system without huge expenses for themselves. This way it discourages those who aren't really serious.
  3. I made a thread covering these quite a while ago: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/showthread.php/3383-Kerbonaut-Minecraft-Skins?highlight=minecraft+skin Feel free to use them!
  4. The LPE Power engines are modified; the cylinder intake and exhaust ports have been drilled out slightly. While it does increase performance dramatically, I wouldn't do that since I am a Lego "purist". You can get LPEs to work without doing that, but they have to be simple and small so as to allow the cylinders to work with minimal resistance. You won't be seeing any of those from me, since my two small pumps leak and the large hand pump doesn't really work well anymore.
  5. I built this for no real reason. It may get used in a project at some point. That's about all it does, really. It's almost soothing to watch
  6. I quit playing after I got stuck in the gap where I was past the beginner tanks and into the first paid-for tanks. That\'s where I wasn\'t making enough money via matches to cover the cost of repairs and ammo to my paid-for tanks but the matching system would put me in games where the starter tanks were dead from the start. To advance any farther, I would have had to dedicate more time to playing the game, which I can\'t do.
  7. I built a frame for my Flip Mino video camera out of parts from my Lego collection. To save time, the link to the original thread at eurobricks.com is http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=72115 If you want the .lxf file for Lego Digital Designer to build it yourself, the Dropbox link is found at the bottom of the OP in that thread. Cheers!
  8. I\'ve never used it, but the guy who makes Freeman\'s Mind shares your sentiments I hear.
  9. I did ROTC for a year. We\'ve moved since then, and I really have no desire to take it again. I did learn how to iron clothes and polish shoes, so that\'s all right I guess.
  10. Gyroscopes are like magnets, IMO. Nobody knows how they effing work! ;P
  11. This sounds a lot like the Arduino. The Uno only costs an extra 10 USD more than the Pi, and I think there\' s a much larger group of manufacturers supporting it.
  12. I hear the Arduino software is a lot like Java, so I\'d guess you can take the experience you may or may not have from there and apply it to your Java stuffs.
  13. I, for one, enjoy both. As long as it doesn\'t bring my computer to a grinding halt, I enjoy both the massive monument to over-compensation slowly climbing into the sky and the testament to efficiency barely nudging into orbit.
