  1. Well then, it was about time for an upgrade wasn't it. I'd be interested to know if there is a roadmap for what the forum devs plan to add to the website, since as of now, it really isn't that good as let's say this (sure to a long time for me to realise the "insert image" button is under other media, when it should by no doubt by among the options on the top. Also do note the dark theme, which allows you to browse the forums for more than a few minuters without bleeding you eyes out from the intense whitenes. Edit: Apparently there's no way to see what topics you have viewed either (viewed without there being a new post) see middle of this image http://puu.sh/lFr2a/49fa403b17.png, I really do hope that now that we have this software, the devs will implement new useful features.
  2. Well it's not good, or anywhere near it, but it's still heaven compared to vBulletin.

  3. For a long time, since they were introduced, I've never gotten the point of using sub-assmbly's, the reason for this being you just can't save what you want to save, unless you happen to have one side avaliable on the pod, which you very well may not have. However today when I accidentally dragged a norma part into the sub-assmbly saving area, it said that it could save fine, so obviously there shouldn't be an issue with saving any craft. I proceeded with trying to grab the same part again (with one of it's attachable sides completely free), using shift+click, and then s expected, it did not work, but why? This should be possible, the logic of the system itself says this should be possible, and the system is for many people useless without this feature. tl;dr you can't save attachable parts because they aren't "attachable", not sure if this is a bug since it's allways been like this as far as I hope, but I sure hope it is, and that it will be fixed. Update: This is only appears to happen when a pod(or first placed part?) is one of the parts connected to the selected part and does not have a free side, in other words a solution to his (hopefully bug) is to save the part of the craft above the pod, and under the pod, since you can't save the craft if the pod is in the middle.
  4. I have updated the OP to account for the new part suggestion you have provided, whilst still keeping the original suggestion for obvious reason, now all we can do is get this as much discussion as possible and hope for SQUAD to see the value of it.
  5. If you ever tried to build a refueling station you probably encountered the most annoying problem, matching up the docking port of the vehicle with the docking port of the refueling station, of course this problem applies to much more than that example. My suggestion is to be able to see the height a part above the lowest area of the craft, this fairly simple addition would allow you to instantly know what height to place your for example docking port to have it match up with the thing you're docking to, this is really essential to ground vehicles, whilst being of no use in space, as of now you have to manually guess the approximate height of the part you want to match up and then fix it by trial and error. This would also make constructing bases a lot easier. As per ideas given by the below comments, this suggestion is now split into 2 suggestions First one being the previously described height displayer for the choosen part. Second one being a sort of landing gear, that would allow you to raise and lower your craft, it would simply be placed as any other landing gear, and would be able to raise or lower the craft to match up with whatever it should dock to, this will be really useful for crafts using wheels, as it can be hard to build a specific height, and you may want to be able to dock crafts that are not designed to have the same height. ADVISE: While this is now 2 suggestions, the reason they're being suggested is for the same single reason, implementing one does not solve what the other one would do, even if both are there to reach the same end goal, these are not anything that would change too much gameplay wise, but it would definitely allow for a whole new experience in making land bases that are easily connected with vehicles.
  6. A thing that has been bugging me ever since I joined the forums is the, well, forum, to be more exact, the forum system. Im going to compare this forum system to ip.board (example http://gmc.yoyogames.com/ ) First of all, the menu at the top of the page is ALOT easier to use, and you clearly see when you have new notifications. The messaging system have a much easier to use design, with most other things. And the thing that bugs me the most, this forum does not have a "my content" system as ip.board has, there is no way to view all different topics that you have written it, and easily see when they have new posts in them. ip.board gives you that with 2 mouse clicks, while on bulleting your only option is to view "find latest posts" which is constructed really bad, dosent sort after newest topic post, shows the same topic multiplie times, and there is no way for you to know if there has been a new post since the last time you checked, this is a VERY usefull function that every forum should have, especially a forum owned by squad, but as with most easy to use functionalities, its not possible with bulletin. I'd love to here from the forum devs themself as to why we are using this (in my opinion obselete) forum system instead of something that works better,
