There's a dll in your archive but no source. There's no installation instructions. Usually all mods ship with a folder that you plop into GameData and be done.

Anyone else having absolutely no idea how to name their ships and ending up with rocket1 rocket2 rocket3 etc -
Instead of creating some pre-made welds that will rarely find a use, create a plugin that allows dynamic welding of parts in the editor.

I'm just very cautious when it comes to closed-source add-ons. -
The textures are being loaded into memory in an uncompressed format, no matter what file format you use. I don't know whether .mbm or .png take longer to load, however.

A plugin without source is very suspicious. While there is nothing malicious in your code, it still creates the impression that you want to hide something. Don't do this, post the source.
