  1. IMPORTANT: This mod is now being continued by @ffx here: I've always wanted another gas giant for the Kerbin System, and after playing with OPM a lot, I decided to try it myself. After all, it's not rocket science, it's astronomy! I mainly made this because, recently, after I started getting interested into modding, I decided to make a planet pack, or at least try to. So, I'll be documenting my efforts here. Disclaimer: Valor is currently very WIP. It's not finished, and there will obviously be problems. Here's the current plan for the system (Ones with check marks are in-game already): √ Valor - Blue Gas Giant Blue Has Oxygenated Atmosphere Milo Orbits extremely close to Valor Should have a great view Mun-like √ Theta - Desert Moon High Ore Concentration Oxygenated Atmosphere Bonx - Rocky Moon Very High Ore Concentration Signature Black Stripes on it's surface (May or may not be related to Ore Concentration ) Binx - Tiny Moon in a near-polar orbit Gilly-like moon May be a captured asteroid/comet, we'll see Kipper Huge, reddish moon (bigger than Tylo!) 5 gees of gravity at sea level More ore concentration than Bonx! Has a set of rings, formed when it's own gravity ripped it's moonlet apart √ Orton An ocean moon that got frozen over Got ejected out of its orbit by a catastrophic event, once orbited between Kerbin and Eve Very very thin remnants of it's original atmosphere still exist To-Do List: Finish adding all the moons Add biomes Add Terrain Scatter Add EVE support Add Scatterer support Add PlanetShine support Add Kopernicus Expansion Footprints support Changelog: v0.3 - Added Orton v0.2 - Added Theta - Tilted Valor's rings by 10 degrees - Changed the internal folder structure slightly v0.1 - Initial release, added Valor. No Pics, No Clicks? Here ya go! Download: Spacedock Dependencies: Kopernicus Continued License: Valor is licensed under GPLv3 Installation Instructions: Just drag the contents of the GameData folder into your GameData folder. Q&A: Q: Is Valor compatible with OPM? A: No, as Valor's orbit is very similar to Sarnus's. However, if you get more hands-on, Valor makes a pretty good Planet 9 Analog Q: Is Valor compatible with MPE? A: Yes! Minor Planet Expansion is compatible and recommended! Q: Is Valor compatible with (Insert Planet Pack Here that's not listed above) A: I don't know. Test it out yourself! Q: I can't find this mod on CKAN! A: Valor is listed on CKAN as Valor Planet Pack. If you can't find it, you can always download from the spacedock link above. Q: How can I help? A: Anything is appreciated! Q: Is there a Discord/Chatroom for VPP? A: As of now, all VPP discussion resides at: https://discord.gg/NBjTwyhZsQ Q: Can we stop with the questions now? A: Um.... sure, I guess. Any comments, screenshots, contributions, and criticism is always accepted and appreciated! If you think something should be different, please tell me! Special Thanks to: @R-T-B , who helped me solve a bug with this mod, @DunaManiac, who graciously provided the texture of Orton, and also provided guidance, @Commodore_32, for providing feedback and screenshots. Thank you all very much!
  2. I got inspired by a few things. Gameslinx, a bucket of rocks, and TWG's Arkas development. I've thus decided that I would like to learn and experiment with Kopernicus every day (i can) for 365 days, starting August 11th, 2021. My goal is simple. Make a planet pack that's enjoyable and way over the top, that's compatible with some other big names, *cough cough* OPM *cough cough* and overall just a fun learning experience. For the first few days before the challenge begins, I'm going to try to expand my small brain to fit the universe of Kopernicus inside of it and teach myself the basics so I can make something neat. Any help would be appreciated. Day One; My Birthday: I kicked off this self-proclaimed-challenge with a bang, (or maybe a boom?) Huge thanks to TheWhiteGuardian for helping me along thusfar, I probably bore him to death. After over two hours, plenty of help, and trying to figure out how to convert files from .txt to .cfg, I successfully Created DAWN! the center of my new system. Until I get a home planet made, Dawn will be orbiting Kerbol at a really safe distance (so I don't have to look at it unless I want to) I also started work on a small planet named Prova. Day Two: Today was very busy, with school and some exercise. I had very little time to work on anything today. I started on a gas giant (~7x Jool's size) that will be white with gold accents running through it (and maybe a thin, highly inclined ring from a munar collision) I'm only about halfway done with the config file of it. Maybe I can finish it tomorrow.
  3. A small Cosmetic mod that adds a green ring system around kerbin. it works with any planet pack that does not put rings around kerbin. Curse: https://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/kerbin-rings Spacedock: https://spacedock.info/mod/1663/Kerbin Rings Requires ModuleManager: Requires Kopernicus: Liscensed as Public Domain.
  4. I'm trying my hand at making a planet for KSP and have been getting lots of problems. first, here is an image of what I'm talking about when I say the planet surface is loading badly: image, image, image Secondly, when viewing the planet in Scaled Space, the sunlight is lighting the incorrect side of the planet (as you can see in this image) Thirdly, it appears the textures for my planet are not loading in Scaled Space (and look even worse in flight), even though I have them linked in the config. I'll be honest, all my maps are the same texture because I'm super bad at texturing and wanted something quick to just make sure the planet was working (they're all grayscale heightmaps, but I figured that wouldn't be an issue. I'd just have a black-and-white planet). Fourthly, my heightmap isn't effecting my planet's height mesh very much. Is there a way to increase the effect of my heightmap. I'll also include an image of my heightmap (which is also the same as my normal and texture maps) https://imgur.com/b2Zspyp and a copy of my config here in a spoiler bar. I have the Biome classes defined but currently do not have a biome map. My PQS mods are simply copy and pasted from this tutorial My guess is that the issue is in my PQS mods, but I really have no idea what I'm doing with those I'll also add, I am using Wilbur to get the height map, GIMP to edit it, and Visual Studio to config
  5. Quarter Size Real Solar System (2.5x Kerbin scale) Quarter Size RSS is a mod that uses the great work from @NathanKell and creates our Real Solar System in a smaller scale in KSP. At 1/4 the size of the Real Solar System, it is still 2.5 times larger than stock KSP and provides a huge challenge to players, but can be achieved with stock parts. It has been figured out by many people the 2.5x scale is the proper scale for KSP. With the way the engines and masses are configured, "realistically" sized rockets would exist in a 2.5x stock scale. Thus I present you with Quarter Size RSS. I am hoping that this is a good balance between stock sizes, Half Size RSS and full size RSS. You can play this with Stock Parts, but it will be best with some of the superb mods listed below. SPECIAL THANKS: @NathanKell and the entire Real Solar System group for creating almost everything that is released in this mod @CaptRobau for letting me use his planets Thatmo and Slate from the Outer Planets mod as two of the Dwarf Planets that we know almost nothing about @OhioBob for creating the atmospheres that are present in the mod The entire Kopernicus team for creating the mod that makes this all possible! @Thomas P. @NathanKell @KillAshley @Teknoman117, Bryce Schroeder @ImkSushi and @pozine for their work on Real Solar System Expanded that provided Ceres and Vesta DOWNLOAD: GITHUB: https://github.com/pap1723/Quarter-RSS/releases/ SPACEDOCK: Soon™ https://github.com/pap1723/ScaledRSS-Textures/releases - These are the textures that are necessary to download Included in the download: Quarter RSS Mod files Module Manager (by @sarbian, @swamp_ig, @ialdabaoth) See thread for details, license, and source: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/55219 Kopernicus - See thread for details, license, and source: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/114649 A configuration for Custom Asteriods by Starstrider42. See thread for details, license, and source: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/80483 INSTALLATION: Extract to KSP/GameData. You should have one dll (Module Manager) in the root of GameData, and three new folders: QuarterRSS, Kopernicus and ModuleFlightIntegrator. However, you are NOT DONE YET!! TEXTURE INSTALLATION: Now, you must select a texture resolution. Download a pre-made pack (8192, 4096, or 2048) and then, if desired, selectively replace with different-resolution texutres. Note that 8192 is dangerous: you will almost assuredly run out of memory on 32-bit versions of the game. You can get the textures from: https://github.com/pap1723/ScaledRSS-Textures/releases Go to the releases page and grab one of the resolution packs, then (optionally) get replacements from the repo itself. The path of the folder will be KSP/GameData/RSS-Textures Make sure you download from here and not the other RSS versions. There are additional biomes as well as additional planets that are included with the ScaledRSS Textures. RECOMMENDED MODS: These mods are highly recommended as their sizes work perfectly with a 2.5x scale of stock. You should not need to make any adjustments to the values of any of the parts to be able to get them to function exactly how you want them to. 6. Salus: A J1407b Analogue [1.11] What does this mod add? Salus: A large gas giant out past Jool with the largest rings Kerbals have ever seen. It is thought that a close encounter with a rogue planet gave its orbit its inclination, as well as its current ring system. Visit soon, they're not expected to last for much longer. They've already begun collapsing into moons. Dauble: An icy world harboring a subsurface ocean, with plumes spraying out world-wide. Dauble is nested inside Salus's rings, providing quite the skyline. Dulus: A small moon orbiting rather close to Dauble. This flattened moon is collecting material from Salus's rings across its equator forming a massive equatorial ridge. Don't slip! Duran: A captured asteroid that orbits far from Salus, well past its rings. It's inclined orbit gives the best possible view of Salus. Be sure to bring your camera! 7. What is RescaleZ? This mod was inspired by Harder Solar System and Kerbin 365 and will make your gameplay harder, but still playable with stock parts. Main feature of this resize is that I've make Kerbin's orbit to have a 365 day (24h each) year and scaled up other planets orbits to match same orbital resonance as in stock. More details Sun x1.6 upscaled. All planets orbits inclined RSS-style to simulate Kerbins axial tilt. Moho x3.2 upscaled. Eve x3.2 upscaled, surface gravity lowered to 0.902g as for Venus and no more Gilli moon here. Also included Extra addition for RealisticAtmospheres (recomended) mod will make atmosphere hotter and higher. Kerbin x3.2 upscaled, KSC moved to 30.22 latiude. You will need ~5000-5600m/s dV to get into orbit. KSO - 17058.576km. No more Minmus here. Mun x2.6 upscaled to make Mun's proporsion to Kerbin more like Moon to Earth. Mun orbit moved further, to make it exactly half of a real Moon orbital period. Duna x3.2 upscaled. Gilly now like Phobos. Bop now like Deimos. Dres surface gravity lowered to 0.042g to make it more like real dwarf planet. Jool x3.2 upscaled. Pol x3.2 upscaled and now closest moon of Jool. Laythe x3.2 upscaled. Tylo x1.8 upscaled to make it more attractive for visiting. Pol-Laythe-Tylo now in proper Laplace resonance like Io–Europa–Ganymede. Vall x3.2 upscaled and have approximate Callisto-like orbit. Ike now farthest Jool's moon, now have same eccentricity and inclination as stock Pol. Eeloo x3.2 upscaled. Minmus is now moon of Eeloo to make this distant world more attractive for visiting. Remote Tech Support Already included, but you can play without RT. Misc But if you do - you can propose a patch Solar curve taken from Kopernicus exapmles for RSS by NathanKell and divided by 2. Solar panels will not help you much around Jool... 8. Flare Replacer is a mod to replace the stock sun flare without using Scatterer. Currently there are 15 different flares to choose from. These sun flares are ported over from Galileo's Sun Flares. All flares are 4k (stock's are 1k if you are wondering). I think I covered most niches when it comes to sun flares. There are some basic, no-nonsense flares for those who like realism, and there are some flares that JJ Abrams would be proud of, and a few in between. Here are some screenshots Aichmiros Avrams Classico Fusion Grande Megalo Mellontikos Omorfia Lampros Grat Foveros Zesto Epos Fotia Enkavma Just a cool screenshot Screenshots are also available in the each zip file, so you can easily see what each looks like without having to come back to the forums over and over. How to change the color Open the FlareReplacer cfg and find the parameter %sunLensFlareColor = 1,1,1,1 The color is in decimals, or float value. Replace the value 1,1,1,1 with any of the recommended values below: The higher the value, the more saturated the color. 1 should be the minimum, and there is no maximum, these are just the values I prefer. R,G,B,A 1,1,1,1 = White 4,1,1,1 = Red 1,4,1,1 = Green 1,1,4,1 = Blue 4,3,1,1 = Yellow 4,1,4,1 = Purple 4,2,3,1 = Pink 4,2,1,1 = Orange 1,4,4,1 = Blue-Green Using a value less than 1 causes some odd looking sun flares. You can come up with whatever color you can think of, these are just examples and probably the most popular. Here are some screenshots of the colors in action To add compatibility with other planet packs *NOTE: ALL planet packs have a star named "Sun" as the center of the system, or should. They may be renamed once kopernicus loads but they are still technically "Sun". That being said, you can leave the first Kopernicus node alone. To add a star from a planet pack to this mod, copy the entire body node in the FlareReplacer cfg. and paste it directly below the first one. All you have to do is change the name of the body name in @Body[] as shown below. You can add as many of these as you like to cover as many stars as you have in your planet pack. This will allow you to define a color for each individual star. Feel free to include your new cfg in your planet packs and add this mod as a recommendation! It should look like this: @Kopernicus:FINAL:NEEDS[FlareReplacer] { @Body[starNameGoesHere] { %ScaledVersion { %Light { %sunLensFlareColor = 1,1,1,1 %sunFlare = FlareReplacer/FlareReplacer.unity3d:sun_flare } } } @Body[anotherStarNameGoesHere] { %ScaledVersion { %Light { %sunLensFlareColor = 1,1,1,1 %sunFlare = FlareReplacer/FlareReplacer.unity3d:sun_flare } } } } @Scatterer_config:Final:NEEDS[!FlareReplacer] { @fullLensFlareReplacement = True } Be sure to include this ^^^ at the bottom of your cfg. This enables the Scatterer sun flares again if FlareReplacer is uninstalled. @Scatterer_atmosphere:FINAL:NEEDS[FlareReplacer] { @Atmo,* { @m_mieG = 0.2 } } ^^^ You may also want to add this bit of code so that the sun flares are not super over-exposed when you are inside an atmosphere. v1.0.3 Change Log Update for 1.4.2 To install: Drop the FlareReplacer Folder into your GameData folder Install the latest Kopernicus (https://github.com/Kopernicus/Kopernicus/releases/) DOWNLOAD Unfortunately, there are too many files to have on CKAN. 9. Community Terrain Texture Pack This is a set of textures to be used with Kopernicus to help modders create high quality, immersive terrain for their planet pack. This mod is currently only hosted inside of OPM. The motivation for separating it out from OPM and hosting it on GitHub was to truly make it a community resource for planet makers. It's a resource for the modding community, so feel free to add textures to the pack via pull request. HERE To contribute, all textures must: Be in dds format Include both color and normal maps Be no larger than 2048x2048 Do not change or remove any textures currently included in CTTP. This mod and idea was created by and all credit goes to CaptRobau. It is licensed Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International DOWNLOAD
  10. To all new budding planet modders, and perhaps older ones, this is a tutorial on how to create a decent looking texture for a rocky planet. Requirements: GIMP GIMP is a free plugin you can download that is my platform of choice for texturing, and it's what I will be using in this tutorial: Firstly, after you've opened up GIMP, click File > New, and create a new page. The Dimensions are VERY IMPORTANT if you want the texture to work. Use a 2*1 texture, which comes in 1024-512, 2048-1024, and 4096-2048 sizes, you can continue going up if you want, but I would recommend 2048-1024 textures for rocky planets and 4096-2048 for gas giants. In this tutorial, I will be demonstrating a smaller rocky planet. Next, choose a color to fill the page with after you have created it. This will be your theme color. It can be pretty much anything, but I would recommend staying away from purple/pink colors due to it being unrealistic, but it's your texture! In this tutorial I'm using a blue theme color, but the method works for a lot of other colors. Switch the brush to Acrylic 01 and cover most of the texture in variations of the base color. Don't sweat if it's not seamless, we'll worry about that later. Now, using the smudge tool, blend all the various patches together. If you were to export that into a texture for your planet, it would work, but would probably have a horrible looking seam as you are about to see. Go to Layer > Transform > Offset and click. In the X field, put in half the length, or the width of your image, in this case it being 1024. This is what the texture would look like if you wrapped it around a sphere, note the obvious seam cutting through the image. How do we remedy this? Using the smudge tool, blend the two sides of the texture together until the seam is no longer visible. Repeat Layer > Transformation > Offset once more by putting the width of the image in the X field, and you will go right back to where it was before. Now, go to the Filter's tab, click distorts and click of the Polar Coordinates. This is what the planet would look like from the north pole. Look at all that polar distortion! Use the smudge tool once more, and blend the poles to your satisfaction. Now, click on Polar Coordinates once more, to turn back to it's original format, then use Polar Coordinates once more, but disable (or enable) Map from top. This is now the opposite pole. Use the smudge tool again to your liking on the top pole to rid the texture of the polar distortions. Congratulations, you now have a texture! Now, before you save the image, click on the Filters Tab, go to Map, and open the Map Object tab. Change Map To: to Sphere, disable the wireframe, enable transparent background and enable Updating Live. If you go to the orientation tab, and change the y axis, you can look at a mini preview of your planet! Now, you can leave the texture as it is, or you can add surface features, such as craters, canyons, and mountains. Remember to export, not save the image, and make sure to save it as a .png and .dds file (either one works), and place it in the folder of choice. 11. Hello Everyone! R3dst0ne_ here. I just set up an account because I have a dream to make a planet pack. There's one thing stopping this: None of the tutorials are up to date. And while there's probably a deep web kopernicus guide that is, the ones that aren't sketchy are all YEARS old. Aand... I'm too lazy to look for them. Which is why I came here in the first place. But despite my pointless babbling, I'm posting here to try and make a planet pack. and a halfway decent one at that. My idea is rather complicated, too. the name will be "Dawn." Dawn will take place earlier in the history of the universe's history. (and don't worry, when I do learn how to make the mod, I'll reconfigure this post for download) I have a few ideas for planets already, most of which are being modeled from rocks or marbles. The home planet will be a dying world, covered in a thick layer of ice. The HP will be a trojan of the Gas Giant, orbiting behind it but on about the same orbit and same orbital period. It'll have a thin atmosphere, breathable only a few kilometers above Sea level. It will have water underneath the ice, perhaps also a few large holes on the equator where a craft can explore the depths of the frozen seas. It will have two moons orbiting on the other side of the planet from the other. Moon one will be scarred and set ablaze, with lava oceans and bounties of riches for mining. (great refueling depot for long distance travel.) Moon two will be a rather flat and whitish in tint, would be good for racing and putting a rover on for science purposes. The stars in the middle will be a binary system- one a HUGE red giant, the other a sun-sized planet. The sun-sized planet will orbit the other from quite a distance away, and may have a few small planets. Gas Giants will be rare. I only plan on having 1 in the core system. This may change as time goes on. The Gas Giant will at most have 3 moons (an asteroid, a Tylo-like, and a Vall with an atmosphere), probably no ring, and likely a light blue or orange. Belt Planets, however, will orbit outside of the gas giant and will all be rather numerous. there will be an asteroid belt there, may also hold some comets (because why not?) BP1: (Yes I'm going to call them BP for Belt Planet until I name them.) Will be covered in impact craters. asteroids will be orbiting it closely, and it will have a debris ring. No atmosphere. BP2: a super flat planet with no atmosphere. It's also the largest (Neat thing, though, I'm not sure if I want any atmosphere at all for BP2, so YOU will have the choice to decide this!) BP3: red stained, irregular, and tiny. about twice/ three times the size of a giant comet in 1.10. PB4: Definitely atmospheric, though the atmosphere will be really thin; it will be on the outer side of the ring. Speakin' of rings, this planet will have two! also a moon, smaller than Gilly, acting as a shepherd for the inner ring. This will be a bit outside of the ring, though. It just kind of fits here. Inner Planets! Seems I skipped this part. There will be two, another really fiery one (like moon 1 of the Home Planet), and another which is burned dark, but no lava. Perhaps it has cooled since it was formed? Outer Planets will also be a thing, outside of the belt. I only plan on having 2. A gas giant could be a third and then bring another ring system in, idk. OP1: A Chloric and super toxic planet with a very thick atmosphere and a moon just like it. Have fun, it's the final challenge of the star system. OP2: Far away, pluto/eeloo like planet with two moons, an asteroid and a similar-sized moon, making it the only true binary system in the entire star system. POP3: gas giant of the opposite color of the other, perhaps red even, with a dark ring. One moon, laythe-like. Perhaps you could land on it? And remember, this is all just extremely early thinking. It all depends if I ever learn how to create planet packs in KSP. But hey, any suggestions are wonderful and breathes life into the community.

  13. I have a big problem... I am trying to use Real Solar System in KSP, but if RRS and Kopernicus are both in the Gamedata directory, the starter loading screen with the pictures and everything happens, then it goes to the solar system in the bottom right corner loading screen forever... I have been using RRS without the planet textures but it's really not the same. Please help. Thanks!
  14. This is the ground textures mod for any STOCK game. It is developed to work best along side Stock Visual Enhancements. This mod adds ground textures to ALL celestial bodies within the STOCK SOLAR SYSTEM and makes scatter objects tangible. 16. As of Kopernicus version 0.3, it has included an API for plugin authors to use to extend the Kopernicus config format. This mod uses that API to allow planet pack authors to enhance their planets with effects like comet tails, procedurally animated gas giants, and more. This plugin requires Kopernicus v0.3 or higher to work, and will not load without it. It should be noted that this plugin is intended to be used by planet pack authors to enhance there planets, and it does nothing by itself. Without further ado, here are the effects you can create with this: Animated Gas Giants: This video explains it nicely: Basically, it's a new shader which procedurally renders moving gas clouds and storms using turbulence noise. The video is a little bit outdated, as all the bugs pointed out have been fixed. The configuration of these things is actually really easy, and there's even an option in the configuration to generate the required color ramp from the existing gas giant texture. Comet Tails These comets are certainly much better than crummy, particle based comets stock Kopernicus provides, and (IMO) look much better than the Alternis Kerbol comets. Like the gas giants, it's a shader which procedurally renders the comet tail using turbulence noise. The animation also responds to time warp. The tail will fade and change it's intensity based on distance from the sun. Right now, it's not completely configurable, but it will be in the next update. Glowing Oceans This effect was originally from my mod New Kerbol, (link) which is, unfortunately, currently outdated. It uses two new shaders to make it emissive: one for the PQS, and one for the ScaledSpace. I've adapted it to Kopernicus, and it is fully configurable. Heat Refraction Unfortunately, I don't have any gifs or images of this effect right now, but it doesn't really deserve it because it's really crummy. The example configs include a heat refraction config for Kerbin. It's supposed to make planets look like they're very hot by adding a heat refraction shader effect to the camera. The example configs (ZZZ_KopE_Examples.zip) should help any planet pack authors who want to use this get started, but this is not by any means complete so expect changes to the config format in the future. 17. I have creatied a gas giant using kopernicus, i olso created the texture but why is my planet dont have the texture i created image: https://imgur.com/a/I1ZpdeG code:
  18. This mod is still a rough work-in-progress and is still in beta, please do not be alarmed if stuff is still wonky in the mod's current state! As said, this mod is NOT READY to be reviewed yet in it's current state. The Geptu Expansion is a pet project of mine that i've been working on-and-off that is loosely based off of Nova's Gas Planet 2 concepts, and my old Kopernicus mod JoolPlus. In it's current state, this planet pack adds four new bodies. Geptu, a brilliant azure gas giant with a ring system that orbits a little bit beyond where Eeloo used to, Belus--a volcanic moon with a pizzalike appearance, Krav, a rugged moon with vast mountain ranges and huge craters, and Galena--a large brown super-tylo moon. This planet pack also relocates Eeloo to orbit around Geptu, so if you are using any planet packs that relocates Eeloo--chances are, stuff won't be compatible. Geptu's current texture is a placeholder, and it comes from this thread by the lovely Eudae55. 19. Hello everyone! The KSP Forums have a wealth of great resources for how to develop your own planet pack. But despite these resources, planet making can still be a very confusing process. This page is for people who are new to or curious about Kopernicus and planet-making in KSP. Anyone can contribute questions regarding the subject matter, and other developers are welcome to help answer those questions. Before posting a question here, I highly recommend you check out the following page: I will try to help whenever I can. I might not know the answers to some things: I have been developing my first planet pack for 5 months now, but I still have much to learn
  20. why is the planet just dark, i have make the texture and specify the texture https://imgur.com/jLZ9xa3
  21. Starships are large, usually wingless vehicles that have insane range. I challenge you to make the best starship you can that is capable of going to another star system and coming back. Recommended Mods: KSP Interstellar Kopernicus Blueshift FTL OPT Spaceplane Parts
  22. Astronomical Research Confederation, or ARC, is going to be a mod that adds a galaxy to your game. This galaxy adds 8 different star systems orbiting around a supermassive black hole. Each star system will contain 3-10 planets with most planets having distinct moons. I'm still only working on the skeleton of ARC so, I made this development forum to show you all what I am working on. This is Casiophae It's the supermassive black hole that keeps the galaxy together. Its gravity is 2678564 times stronger than Kerbin's gravity. It also has a radius of 928,393 kilometers. This is Matsunaga, It is a red dwarf star with a radius of 130,800 kilometers and, a gravitational pull 13.5 times stronger than Kerbin's gravitational pull. It will have 6 planets orbiting around it with 4 of those planets having moons. This is Zacarius, It is a class O main-sequence star with a radius of 311,200 kilometers. It has a gravitational pull 32 times stronger than Kerbin's gravitational pull. Zacarius will have 5 planets orbiting around it. This is Phoceda, It's a stellar black hole with a radius of 228 kilometers. It has a gravitational pull 78000 times stronger than Kerbin's gravitational pull. It will have 3 planets orbiting around it. These are the orbits so far. This is only the start of a massive project, I plan to add many different types of star systems within the coming weeks. I will make sure to upload this forum every time I add something to Astronomical Research Confederation.
  23. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello there! This Mod aims to add a stockalike Saturn analogue to the Kerbol System along with some moons. Saru is located between Jool and Dres at the moment, if anyone has a better idea of a placement let me know. If anyone has suggestions for new moon ideas or minor changes let me know. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: I am mainly making this mod for fun and because I want these types of planets in my save. I am a complete noob when it comes to planet modding so it may be a while until I am able to get a stable version available for release. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Planets/Moons: Saru Plez Durgen Hypo
  24. Hello everyone! This is the new thread for my *HEAVILY* WIP Kopernicus mod: You're Hot 'N You're Cold This mod, as of this edit, has been COMPLETELY restructured. YHNYC aims to add in new and unique worlds to challenge your spaceflight technologies, reaching absurdly close AND far distances from Kerbol. There will not be an absurd amount of objects as originally planned, only a few overall. Object Concept List Below: ALERT! CRUDDY CONCEPT ART BELOW THIS LINE. --------------
  25. OUTERSPACE So what is Outer Space? Outer Space is my first Kopernicus planet pack, aiming to bring more challenge in the game. Nothing much at the moment. !WARNING! This mod is in it's early stages, bugs occur! If you experience weird glitches, PM me and i will try to fix it. When is this updated? Updates will happen, but sometimes things can block development time. I can't really tell. Who is in charge of this? @GenesisPlayz (Myself) The lead developer. I'm doing all the coding and stuff. @ModerndayLink Giving me tips in the beginnng and helping me out when i got confused. @SamBelanger For making the textures, i like them and it saves me alot of time (I'm a terrible artist when it comes to rocky plernerts). CHANGELOG KNOWN ISSUES: TO-DO LIST: DOWNLOAD VIA SPACEDOCK: If you want to take an early peek now: https://spacedock.info/mod/1435/''Outerspace'' KSP Planet Pack Eh, SpaceDock doesn't want to update the mod for some reason.
