  1. Updated for KSP 1.2.1 Once upon a time there was LAZOR mod from famous Romfarer, which included a useful docking camera, that displays the videostream a small window in the main flight scene. However, it has not been updated for a long time, and refused to work in recent versions of the game (or I could not start it). Nevertheless, I like it output style of information and I was bored without this service. That in turn has led me to attempt to revive the aforementioned docking camera. And YES, i know about Docking Port Alignment Indicator, HullCamVDS, cameras for RasterPropMonitor etc. But i do not know about any working cameras in window. New shaders example: So, what we have here. Docking-camera itself, which can be integrated to any part (MM patch enclosed for the docking port modules). It looks ahead by the vertical axis of the vessel's and displays a minimum of necessary info for the docking maneuver - namely, range, speed, angle, alignment and when the correct trajectory occured - time prior to docking with the mark that such trajectory will lead our vessel to dock without additional actions (small lamp will become green and will show time to docking). camera window has three size presets. It also has three viewing modes: color, Black and white and infrared. Powered zoom function. Also, there is a button to remove flight data from the screen. Furthermore, effect of television interference can be added. The range of the camera, parameters of night vision (RSMA) and presence of noise - can be configured through CFG. Camera requires a target to operate. In addition the ugly external camera enclosed. It can show videostream only and also has three modes of vision and is able to rotate on two axes. For cameras, installed under the belly of the aircraft (which gets inverted upside down) there is the mode of rotation of the image. In the CFG of the partcamera some meshes could be configured for use with other camera model. All cameras have a title with its number, and also can work a few pieces at a time. Docking camera reporting its target on its window title. There is an experiment on part camera - a try to reproduce a surveilance (spy) activity. You need to be at a distance less than 1000 m near any targetable thingie, catch it on camera's screen and targeted. press "⦿" button. A ray will be shoot. If all requirements have met and there are no obstacle on ray's path - you'll should get experiment results, if something wrong - you just spend one bullet. Experiments is limited by bullets (4 yellow balls around cam, dissapearing one by one each time). I thought it will be interesting if contracts. Camera has 3 presets of shaders (noisy TV 1960th style, TV 1980th style and standart (color, b/w and nightvision). available via button, appearing when blizzy toolbar is installed. Also, by toolbar button you could find info about nearby cameras installed on other vessels in transmission range. If camera has been activated on some vessel, but you drive other one - a new window from distant camera will appear when distance from first one will become less than 2500 (or 10k (customizable)). If you want you can use "look at me" mode by activating it on distant camera. "Targetcam" and "follow me" modes on your active vessel (set camera position using scrollers). The cameras can transmit the videostream to nearby vessels, but only at a distance of up to 2 500 meters. You can change this unload range via toolbar button. 2. I was wondering if there are any camera mods for kerbal space program that currently work with ksp 1.2. (it appears that camera tools by BD doesn't work anymore)
  3. I pushed the sliders to the max but it isn't enough to satisfy me.... I want more wobble! Can it be done? How?
  4. I have a Problem with my IVA Camera, as you can see the normal camera in IVA must look like this: But mine camera is looking like this : I Already tried everything, adjust the FOG, reistall the game, in the screen shots i used mods but this bug still occur in KSP Stock, my current version is 1.2.2 and this bug appeared only after 1.1 Help-me guys it may seem not a big problem but i play a lot in IVA and this occur in every cockpit, the camera looks like is stupid high in some and this is freaking me out i can't even see the flight instruments in some. Sorry for my poor English :v
  5. Kerbal-Optical-Alignment-System Adds an optical sight and target to stock docking ports in Kerbal Space Program(tm). Motivation I wanted to 'kick it old school'. Back before KSP I experienced this sort of seat of the pants docking in an Apollo simulation created for Orbiter (a great open source space simulator) and I wanted to be able to do that in KSP. I also felt like something was lacking in the stock game when it came to docking. Magnetic ports do forgive some amount of inaccuracy, but I felt we should be able to be more precise. I made every effort to make this mod a incognito as possible, try to add it in to the game so it seemd like Squad did it themselves. Installation Be sure to have the latest version of ModuleManger installed! Upzip it into your GameData folder, as with most other mods. API Reference If you wish to add this mod to your own parts (or your favorite parts) follow these ModuleManager config examples: Adding the Camera @PART[dockingPort1] { MODULE { name = DPCamera cameraName = DPCam cameraForward = 0, 1, 0 cameraUp = 0, 0, -1 cameraPosition = 0, 0.12, 0.0 cameraFoVMax = 80 cameraFoVMin = 80 cameraMode = 1 } } Adding the Target @PART[dockingPort1] { MODEL { model = Squad/Parts/Utility/dockingPortShielded/model } MODEL { model = FP_KOAS/Parts/DockingTarget/COAS_Target position = 0,0.11,0 scale = 1,1,1 rotation = 0,0,0 } !mesh=DELETE } Note that in both cases the values in "Position" will likely need to be adjusted to get the eyepoint and target models in the right place. How-To-Use Simply right-click the port of the craft you are flying, choose "Control from Here" so the manuvering keys work correctly, and then "View from Here" to be taken into "Docking View". To exit, just do as the message on screen said and hit the "Camera Key" (default 'c') as a bonus, the next / previous vessel keys (default '[',']') will also "pop" you back into the external view. 6. Console: PS4 I've noticed that camera panning is really slow in the VAB and the SPH which hinders my ability to build things in any reasonable amount of time. I was wondering if the community new something that I didn't or some control that I wasn't using to pan the camera faster? Maybe its just on a slow setting? I can't seem to figure it out and it really bothers me sometimes when it takes 30 seconds to 1 min just to rotate the camera 180 degrees or raise from the bottom of the rocket to the top.
  7. So, I was on the outer reaches of the Kerbin system out of fuel and on a path to collide with Kerbin. So I had to do the old 'get out and push!'. So I pushed and pushed until I was going to fly through Kerbin's atmosphere at 29 kilometers. Then I tried to get back in the command pod but every rsc push prograde or retrograde kept on changing. It took me ten minutes and almost all Jeb's rsc pack to get to my command pod. Also just one more complainant. When I evaed Jeb in the atmosphere of Kerbin going 3 meters a second with parachutes that were no were near me and he rag-dolled. He fell and died after one hour of constant failures and amazing science. I'm depressed.
  8. Hi. When I enter the VAB, I've lately started experiencing a disturbing issue. When I try to change my camera angle, it's really slow. No lag or anything like that, just a slow moving process for the camera. To do a 360 around my spacecraft I have to drag like 5 times. I've experienced this earlier, but then it helped with a restart of the game, now it's not enough. I'm running KSP 1.1.3 on macOS Sierra.
  9. As the title states, the camera keeps scrolling up and down whenever I scroll in the parts list. I have updated to the latest KSP 1.2.1 and all my mods have been updated to their latest versions in CKAN. [x] Science! 10. I played KSP during 1.1 for several days and i do understand how the game controls work. When 1.2 released i decided to begin a new game in career mode. For some reason now in the new game the games default controls for flight in a completely unmodded game version 1.2 DO NOT WORK. To be more exact, I'm just starting again so of course the first few steps are building small rockets etc etc (you know the drill) as i launch the first rocket to get into space the games DEFAULT keyboard controls do absolutely nothing at all to the rocket, i mean absolutely freaking nothing the gauge that shows you your pitch yaw roll inputs are all sitting there perfectly still as if receiving no input form me what so ever as i hit the WASDQE buttons. However the camera is receiving those keyboard inputs and the keyboard that (at least in the past game) should be giving control input to the rocket are instead moving the camera all over the place as the rocket goes straight up and only straight up. What am i missing here????? As far as i know i changed no settings at all from my last game to this one. Did i hit some stupid little toggle somewhere or something?
  11. This isn't really a bug so much as a quality of life enhancement. The default behavior upon taking a Kerbal EVA is to reset the camera to a wide zoom level and shift it to an orientation that usually ends up obscuring the Kerbal behind the craft. This requires you to zoom your camera again and drag the frame around to search for your Kerbal in order to see him or her again. The pre-release phase seems like a good time to change this camera behavior if many others find it as annoying as I do. It seems like the better option is to reorient the camera so that it always shows the Kerbal from behind and at the previous zoom level, or simply not shift the camera at all. It would also be helpful for the camera not to zoom out again after boarding the craft as well (which is especially annoying after boarding command chairs on rovers.) Does anyone else see this as a problem? Is it worth adding to the bug tracker?
  12. When I load up a Craft, the camera glitches out, it gets stuck and I can't leave the craft or switch craft, I have to Alt+Tab out of KSP and close the game, please help I am planning to do a new series on Youtube and I cant do it with this glitch
  13. I like to build and fly planes from the SPH. I try to challenge myself by flying in IVA mode sometimes. When I do this, I zoom out to see the entire cockpit, view, etc. When I do this though, part of the kerbal's head gets in the way of the camera. I have come up with a solution: Remove the head. (Only for the kerbal that is being 'used,' of course). This would clean up the view making the craft easier to control. I learned this after taking a closer look at the game Halo: Combat Evolved. In it, where you are in the cryo tube, the head got in the camera's way, so the devs removed it for that bit of game. Again, I think a similar solution would make IVA easier to use. Good luck, devs! ;-)
  14. I was flying around one of my planes recently and wanted to know if there was a mod that would let you look further backwards in the cockpit, to see behind the cockpit instead of just ahead and to the sides.
  15. I want to change the near clipping plane in KSP. It seems like it sticks out ludicrously far from the camera... I don't know how likely it is to make a plugin for reducing the value as there's no value for it in the settings.cfg file and it seems to only be changeable in Unity itself. Thoughts? I honestly have no idea where to ask this question as I'm usually only on the subreddits and nobody visits r/KSPModDevelopment or r/KSPMods.
  16. Does anybody have any idea if there are any cinematic camera mods out there? I'm trying to make a fanmade trailer for KSP 1.1 and the ones I have don't work anymore. I used KerbCam and Camera Tools(BahamutoD), but those don't work.
  17. Claw, you are my personal hero now Please make the UI a lot faster,at least 10x - i mean while in the Main Menu to Load Game and the scene change in Mapview and normal view mode. Currently the camera moves very slow, its eating my nerves.
  18. The focus of the camera is locked to the CoM in flight, which is fine for small crafts. But for large craft, this isn´t always helping. The camera focuses on the CoM somewhere in the middle and you need to zoom out to see the whole ship. And that can make it harder to click onto something, for example to undock something. My suggestion: Add a new "right click action" for command pods/probe cores/docking ports, which says "Focus camera here". Just a small change, but that would be incredibly helpful in some situations. What do you think?
  19. So I was trying to launch my rocket when all of a sudden the camera loaded like this: Anybody know how to get the camera so the field isn't so wide/stretched out?
  20. I had a really bizarre thing happen last night that I can only assume is some sort of bug or glitch. I sent my kerbal on EVA to collect some science from experiments of a stage that would eventually be discarded so that he could take them back to kerbin inside the command pod. While I was trying to maneuver around the vessel using the EVA RCS, the orientation kept changing its axis by 90 degrees in a random direction. I would thrust once or twice to the left and all of a sudden I would be facing a completely different direction. Every time I tried to correct and steer back to the ship the orientation would change again. This orientation change meant that I could no longer control where I was going - it took all my effort just to stay in the vicinity of the ship and not fly off into the void. The shift was always 90 degrees in a (seemingly) random direction and it changed the camera and navball at the same time. It also happened when I got close to the ship. The ship was a simple 1.25m command pod, service bay, materials bay, fuel tank and terrier, with the pod able to decouple alone for re-entry. I eventually managed to get close enough to hit "F" and grab on to the command pod and board, but this was a crazy few minutes that left me quite frazzled. Are any of you familiar with this and know how I might prevent it from happening again? All my other EVAs seem to go ok, so I'm not sure what made this one different - I'm not sure how to reproduce it.
  21. Hi! Greetins from Argentina. I was wondering if there is a mod that let you see the IVA and the Free Camera at the same time (perhaps in another screen). Some people give me the mod "Standalone map view" but that's not wat i was lookin for. Someone know anything? The idea came up when i see that the Wii U version of KSP will let you see the IVA in the pad.
  22. .The Bug The camera just drifts behind the rocket while im launching it. Mods That I Used: Also I Have A Probe Docked Inside The Cargo Bay. Thanks.
