  1. I need an intake that works well at roughly 55,000m and up. Is that even a thing that can happen? How do I make it happen?
  2. Hello all, So I've been messing around with a lot of Space Planes; I've got the Mk2 expansion and starlion industries upgrade with KSPI. One thing the pack is majorly missing is atmosphere processing. I've been wondering if there's a way to make a separate part that can convert atmosphere intake (intake atm) to a gas/liquid fuel much like the stock KSPI processors, but not acting as it's own intake. ideally it would use the ratio of gasses in the current atmosphere and same charge-output ratios as the processors. the point of this is the have in inline processor hooked up to a few streamline standard intakes to use with KSPI and other engines. cuts down on part count, drag, and weight, and makes it more realistic and pretty. tl;dr i want a part to be an inline atmosphere processor, but not an intake, that can convert from intakeATM to other gasses. I've tried cut-paste code from the processors, but the KSPI setup is far beyond me. [EDIT] the code in the .cfg file seems to refer to another module somewhere else, or perhaps something in a DLL file. also, sorry, i wasn't clear that this was a request for said part.
  3. Hello there! I've been playing KSP for a while, but I mostly use rockets, since I like them most. I've built some planes but never a SSTO. At least a working one. So I started to learn a lot about this things. I've seen in many videos that they close intakes at certain altitude, near atmosphere limit, and the engines keep running (RAPIER). Also, they angle the craft almost horizontally once in atmosphere, and they fire the NERV really late. I would like to get some guidelines about this matter. Thanks!
  4. DOH!!! I'm a dummy! I forgot I had switched to my development computer and hadn't updated Module Manager. So my mod Thermal Nuclear Turbines relies on the resource IntakeATM. I was just testing my engines for 1.1.2 when I discovered the intakes won't generate the resource anymore. The MM patch for intakes. Oh well... Here is a pic of some cute confused Kerbals... Sorry guys. They think something got jammed into the intake... poor Kerbals.
  5. Hello everybody. I have a excessively hard challenge for you: make a plane with no nosecone, two side-intakes, two canards, and one engine. Fuselage and landing gear are unlimited. The only lifting surfaces that are allowed are two canards. The only intakes allowed are the two side-intakes. You must fly all the way to the old KSC (the KSC on the tiny island with the tiny dirt WW2 runway ) and land there. For extra credit, take off again and fly all the way back to the new KSC (the default KSC). Please post a video or image of you doing the challenge. If you upload the video to YouTube, please put: Challenge by GGKSPMC (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtLy17F1L83z3oqtcGWML4g) forum thread at (http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/134807-no-nosecone-2-intakes-on-sides-two-canards-and-one-thruster-make-it-fly/) tip: Badge for badgers:
