  1. I ever since i installed KSP on my new computer i have been having errors and bugs like solar and heat panels exploding on launch and 1min long repeating error messages in the console when i crash a craft lagging my game, when i installed the patcher today and i tried to fix my game i received two error messages and the two loading bars stayed at 0% an it instantly said press OK to exit, after two CMD windows came up and game me ownership over all the files in my directory(wich i already owned but ok) and then it closed, i would like to know if that is whats supposed to happen or if something went wrong. Also i now have basically every mod made for 1.2.2 that does not add planets, and this is at the same time as trying to patch the game. i do not use Steam edition
  2. KSP Version: Version 1.1.3 , patched via patcher today at 22:39 CET, OS: Windows 7 64-bit What Happens: Cannot purchase nor place researched parts Mods / Add-Ons: All Stock Steps to Replicate: 1) Start a new game 2) purchase the parts at the R&D Centre 3) go to construct first rocket 4) newly purchased parts still need to be purchased at R&D centre 5) Also cannot place a normal rocket engine underneath the first tank properly, doesn't snap into place, only upside down... Result: Literally cannot play the game this way, can't build anything
  3. Hi there, i did update my KSP 1.1.2 install with the patcher.exe in KSP's directory. The one which asks for email and password for kerbal store and then (is supposed to) update everything itself. It works - almost. I'm 90% sure the issues i have got, are due to the patcher not deleting old parts if squad changed folder structure. Somehow my small landing gear mysteriously keeps changing after Launch and revert Flight to medium. Then i discovered (have had this one before!) there are two small landing gears in my install. 1) GameData\Squad\Parts\Wheel\LandingGear\GearSmall.cfg 2) GameData\Squad\Parts\Wheel\SmallGearBay\smallGearBay.cfg please fix the patcher! thought it's an easy way to not update manually but nope (the launcher update did not find any 1.1.3 update too) Now i have to manually reinstall because there is no way to figure out whats new, whats old, and if there are more double parts
  4. I tried to update KSP (not Steam) 1.1 to 1.1.1 using the patcher (both with launcher and directly) but I got an error: rsync: getaddrinfo: bfkpnwq0ntx8pmxmyo1jqvsmw6h 873: Name or service not known rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(125) [Receiver=3.1.2] Any ideas ?
  5. Hi SQUAD, I was wondering if there were any plans to include a working patcher in any of the future versions of KSP. A working patcher would significantly reduce the amount of data needed to download each new version, as you only have to download any data thats different from the current version, and would increase the speed at which we are able to download any updates (less data means less server time means more people can access the server over any length of time). Plus a working patcher could automatically check for new versions of KSP and inform the player when they become available, this would make silent patches like the 1.0.5.1028 easer to release and download.
  6. New important issue - fixed in 1.2.2 so please update! The highlighter will cause KSP to crash after disabling the aero overlay, please disable the highlighter in flight or avoid the aero overlay until this is fixed, thank you. See here for the issue report. * KSP not starting on macOS OSX OS X Sierra? Important notes on the Patcher / Launcher -------------------- Issues new to the 1.1.2 release (and one or two old ones), and their workarounds if any, can be found here, so if you find something please check here first and PM me if you don't see your issue. I will add the issue to the repository, this makes it both easier to find in the future, and will help reduce repeated issue reports Also please check the developer articles, as many new changes may seem like a bug at first when compared to earlier versions, but are intended. If you're still on 1.1.1 you need to update KSP. Claw has made many small fixes for these issues which you can find here. Command line arguments! The Unity3D game engine which is used to make KSP has a lot of command line arguments which can help get KSP running on Linux/OSX, and allow players to force KSP onto a specific monitor in multi-monitor setups. See all command line args here. Standalone Unity commands, these can work on any platform, not just Windows. -------------------- Category list. -------------------- Aerodynamics. * Heatshields not slowing down the pod enough.
