Chaka Monkey Exploration Odyssey is a space program based on NASA and Boeing proposals for future missions. Part models from a wide variety of authors have been licensed, and new original models made, then combined with all new textures, sizes and configurations, to create craft files depicting the proposed missions. This project is modeled at 75% real scale.

Recommend installing this pack into a clean KSP install for the first time.

Latest version of Raster Prop Monitor needed for IVA function. Link included in download.

Copy everything in provided GameData to your GameData

Dear Superlative Chaka Monkey Exploration Systems Engineers,

Most Jubilant Greetings! We, your very appreciative and humbled customer wish to extend our warmest congratulations on your successful launching of the newest and formal version of CMES' most excellent launch vehicles and spacecraft. In celebration we have added another 21 Kerbalnauts to our Flight Testing division. (Survivors will graduate to our Flight Crew Corps. Additional survivors will graduate to Prime Crews.)

wow, i must say i was shocked to see this one in the release thread, congrats on the hard work - i'm sure this is buried in the DEV thread somewhere, but hows the memory footprint of this now? They do look like they share a bunch of textures which is good (if they actually do)

Hahahahahahahahah oh god why did you pick today...

So yesterday I downloaded the old version and spent most of the day trawling through configs getting the parts I wanted to work :P

No but really thanks for the release! Love this pack. Now I need to download it and go back through picking out the parts I want though..

just wondering are all the parts that were there in the 0.90 version there in this version?

Thank you everyone! You guys are the best!

It's now lower than ever! Even though there are many more parts and features, the footprint is hundreds of mb less than the previous .90 version.

Oh man, well at least you got to know it very well. There are some parts from the last version that were scrubbed out, mostly because they had a higher memory footprint than what they added to the pack. If there is anything specific you want back updated to 1.0.2, let us know, and later we will release some of that as an optional extras pack, but not today :)

Just downloaded this. It looks amazing, but I think there's a missing part. A few of the craft files won't load (EMLC II, for example) because it says the XKarmonyStorModule.AdapterS6632 is missing.

Also, I can't see some parts in the tech tree. (Maybe being an idiot) Seem to be missing : FairingBase375, Upper Stage Engine Mount 375 Express, Engine Mount for R568 and the 3.75 CM Fairing.

In addition, I think this download isn't playing nice with RasterPropMonitor and JSI. I haven't launched any Chaka pieces yet, but I'm getting this persistent warning with my other ships now. Maybe an issue with the folder structure? Not sure.

Same issue, and some parts, clipped inside pods (parachutes) or others, will not work "while stowed". Ksp bug?

It's possible you have a duplicate of a plugin we have included in the CMES folder.

Okay so we will update the file to have the plugins outside the CMES folder and add additional documentation requesting the user to check for existing versions of each plugin if other mods are used.

As always please cross check issues with a clean install.

Sorry for any inconvenience!

We test in a sandbox environment exclusively... and we may not have included the proper tech tree notation on every part. I promise we will spend some time on tech tree compliance and improve the quality of the career mode experience.

Plugins should always be in their original folders, even if it adds more clutter to the download. If you don't do this people end up with duplicates of the plugins, or the plugins don't work because they need to be in a specific folder structure. This is besides the point of the license issues with changing the structure.

Your feedback is much appreciated. We want the user to have the best possible game experience with as few cross - mod conflicts as possible, and we especially appreciate the plugin authors for making those DLL's available to the community.

There are parts missing in sandbox mode too. Most of the craft files cannot be loaded in the VAB. All these are just teething issues though. There's no doubt that the mod itself is an amazing piece of work. And the Instructional cards are brilliant. It would be great if you could integrate them with KIS. (The KIS mod allows you to store the mod manual as a little book on your craft, so you can read it in game. Would be a flourish in keeping with the overall sheen of this amazing mod.)
