This mod looks great, but I saw a spelling error in the science def :

KersexFlyingHighHenge = The crew confirms the existance of a mysterious ringed geological feature while flying high over Kersex.

Existance? Doesn't you mean "existence"?

I haven't wrote a New Horizons compatibility patch for Kronkus (yet). It might work "as is", but I'll add one in for the next release.

Asclepius works great with NH! It has a patch that puts Asclepius on a co-orbital configuration with Laythe.

Kronkus: Huge purple ringed gas giant orbiting between Dres and Jool

4 MOONS

Sketti: Closest Kronkian moon. A ball of noodles stretching Roche limits!

Meelo: The middle moon. Orbits the outside of the the rings of Kronkus. It's monotone colors are home to the most "sensible" moon in the Kronkus system.

Kersex: It's the "Almost Kerbin" home away from home. Much fun to be had here!

Eahpeh: The pecular ice moon of Kersex.

The fjords are quite satisfactory I must say!

I've added a New Horizons patch, and tamed the atmospheric heating down for Kronkus, and Kersex. :cool:

Update 9-26-15

Changes (Kronkus v0.8)

  • Atmospheric heating curve cooled off a bit for Kersex and Kronkus, you now have a chance to aerobrake before burning up.
  • Added New Horizons compatibility patch (Places Kronkus on a co-orbital configuration ~180 degrees opposite of Sonnah)

hi mr chumley,

I couldn't make Kronkus load (downloading it from Kerballstuff)

I think the issue is that in your archive you have the folder Kronkus nested inside another folder called Kronkus as well

moving the second "Kronkus" folder into GameData solved the problem

Also, the github download is still version 0.7 (at least the name is)

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I apologize for causing grief :(

The directory structure on the Kronkus Kerbalstuff Download has been fixed.

Please let me know if you find any other issues, and I'll get them fixed ASAP.

The Github Download should be up to date now as well.

Does this work alongside Outer Planets?

Yes. Kronkus' orbit is closer than Jool's so it isn't out as far as any of the Outer Planets. You might need the latest Kopernicus though. I distribute Kopernicus 0.3.1 with Kronkus and Asclepius because they run the best in my experience.

Hello everyone!

I figured out how to rework the oceans so that there is no more FPS issues when using Kronkus with the latest Kopernicus.

Update 10-9-15

Kronkus v1.0

-FPS issues fixed! (for real this time!)

-Reworked Oceans on Kersex

-Updated bundled Kopernicus to v0.4-beta

-Added descriptions

-Small change to New Horizons compatibility patch for Galactic neighborhood compatibility.

Hey guys!

I've written a ResearchBodies compatibility config file for the Kronkus system. It will be added in on the next release.

In the meantime, here is a Dropbox Link to KronkRsBdys.cfg if you want to add it manually.

It causes Kronkus to be researched/tracked at the beginning of the game on easy, and normal modes, and Kersex only on Easy.

If anyone has any suggestions to make Kronkus more compatible with other mods, or any other suggestions please let me know. :D

Also- Can anyone confirm that the CKAN issue worked itself out? Or does it require some intervention on my part?
