Game issue going VAB -> Launchpad

So I just updated the game, and I'm having this issue where the game will just cease working when I try to go from VAB to the launchpad. The 'save', 'load', etc buttons in the top right will fade to become non-clickable, and the game will cease letting me access the esc menu. On top of this, I can still navigate the parts in VAB, as well as see the kerbals doing their thing in the background. I cannot however, interact with the ship I've built.

Is this a known issue, and is there a fix for it?

Hi,

Have a similar issue, cannot launch or exit from the plane hanger or VAB, so i backed everything up, deleted the ksp folder content and did a fresh install. all working again, i think it might be mods. i will continue to investigate.

Defo mods causing the issue, i copied over my save folder and the mods i use the most kw rockets, kerbal alarm, scansat, mech jeb and navy fish docking port to the new install and left the others behind and the game still works correctly. difficult to say which one caused the issue, but i did have a few old ones, next to test is hyper edit
