single planet fuctionality

so I had a brainwave yesterday, when I was thinking about refining previous do-less-tedious-work ideas for orbital infrastructure, and it occurred to me that UKS has a built-in logistics system that I could piggyback onto with some dedicated parts.

 

to the idea goes something like this- have a series of dedicated parts that are functionally just 'power goes in, [resource] comes out' converters, meant to represent Kerbin's existent infrastructure for UKS's logistics system.

 

however, since these are meant to be abstractions, not true replacements for in-situ stuff, I would like to make it so they only function on Kerbin itself.

 

... also, I had a few ideas for planet-specific Science packages for Career mode, and knowing how one might accomplish that is something of a prerequisite for that.

Sounds like a plugin would be required - I don't think it would be possible with just cfg files.

well, I guess it'll have to be 'you can but shouldn't because that's not what they're for.'

 

well, I can at least make them dependent on IntakeAir so you have to have an actual atmosphere. that at least will prevent use on... most other bodies and in orbit.
