@Kandjk Your telescope won't work to find exoplanets. However, if you are able to download AIP4WIN, then I can send you some data for you to analyse stellar light curves. If you decide to go through light curves, I will PM you a Dropbox link with the data.

Here, have a link:

If you can download and read this tutorial, then you will be able to get data I send you

There are also some helpful URLs in the tutorial to help with both AIP4WIN and AIJ.

I g ot AIJ :D

Good! That's actually the better program, and comes with several extra features that AIP4WIN doesn't have. I might be able to send you a copy of the data gathered from HAT-P-22 for you to analyse as practice.

Do you have an official site

Not yet. I do want to have the IRVEES project up on Zooniverse eventually. The problem is that either we would need an experienced scientist in order to start it, or we would need at least one exoplanet discovery to prove ourselves.

IRVEES UPDATE: The next IRVEES observations will probably be on July 5th. For these new observations, I plan on setting a limit on how small of a transit I can identify by detecting the transit of Kepler-438b (Danae). Since this planet dims a mere 0.0368% the light of its star, it will be a tough one. I have backup dates for July 7th and July 12th. If I am able to do observations on the 5th, then the 12th will probably be used to try and discover some planets of my own. It won't be in IDR-1, but around the red dwarf star AC 54 1646-56, which is also in the constellation of Ursa Major, like IDR-1.

IRVEES UPDATE: I won't be able to do observations of Kepler-438b on the 5th, but the 7th and 12th are not out of the question. Also, I may have a lot more observation times later this month. I could have a few planet candidates or even a confirmed planet by August 1st. That is, if everything goes right.

Hey, ProtoJeb21...

I found some really expensive telescopes...

http://www.obsessiontelescopes.com/telescopes/index.php

Although, you did mention in an earlier post that for the Transit Campaign the minimum was about 6" (inches), right?

Ah yes, the Obsession Scopes. Despite being the perfect antidote to Aperture Fever and great scopes for exoplanet transits, I would not recommend them for two reasons:

1.) They're not good for beginners.

2.) They are incredibly expensive.

Don't get an obsession scope unless you have serious experience with telescopes and enough money to buy them. I would recommend trying to partner up with a local observatory that's available to the public. You know, like what I'm doing.
