This is precisely why I build around the stock aero and weight because it's the most consistent basis there is.

Ha, nothing against what you said, but hearing that word mentioned in the same sentence as stock. That is the funniest thing I have heard in awhile! :D

I didn't mean it that way. If I base it on FAR, in a future KSP version it might be incompatible and won't work. If I base on stock, it will be consistently there to work on.

Same goes for parts, all through out, the only consistent content will be stock's so it's best to make it work with that.

@Citizen247 Thank you. I don't blame users for the issue. It's usually a complaint but replicas are so hard to make because of this. Weight is such an issue on crafts. This is precisely why I build around the stock aero and weight because it's the most consistent basis there is.

Sure, I hope it didn't come across as I was attacking anyone. I was just trying to point out the difficulties involved with replicas and KSP. You pretty much have to install mods like RealFuels that lower the weight of parts in order to get anything like a functional replica of real aircraft.

On the note of replicas, I have been able to make a Mitsubishi A6M "Zero" replica run around 330 mph (~150 m/s in ksp at max.) along with proper weaponry using Aviator's Arsenal (2 20mm cannons, .30cal machine guns. I have yet to add the 30/60kg bombs however). I hope to get a craft file out, however it requires a few mods.

(Note 1: Pictures will come out soon)

(Note 2:  I am still tweaking my Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat, so expect it in the future  )

Holy crap, dude/dudette! That's a big old piece of work for the engines not already included in the various AJE packages. I was never able to make heads or tails out of those.

Everyone please let me know if a part of the patch isnt working for you and I will get it fixed!

Same link as what? Tweakscale isn't working for me onthis mod and it's the third time i have downloaded the version.

Did you:

Download the tweakscale patch from the OP?

read the instructions?

and follow the directions?

what game version are you using?

OP meaning official page? I thought you just have to put the mods in gamedata. tweakscale works for most thing, just not AP+. i'm using 1.2.2

Wow! This mod is great, I remember I downloaded it when it was just a few engines but it grew so much! I think you should make some more airliner parts like a even bigger wing or some more fuselage parts(more realistic windows and such) Some more commercial turbofans would cool too. But you don't have too. I also built this

@GhostboyDB If you hover over OP, it says that it means Original Post(er); It's the first post in the thread. I put a link there to a post by TMasterson5 which makes Airplane Plus works with Tweakscale.

@Dfthu Of course, we haven't gotten to Mk3 and Size 3 yet. But I'm still playing another game. I'm not exhausted by modding, just wanted to play another game for a while so I can guarantee I'm going back to modding after I've had my fun :P

New patches! Still warm from the oven!

The first patch configures the compatibility with TweakScale for all Airplane Plus parts. maybe not all parts, I may have forgotten some

Airplane Plus - TweakScale (Dropbox)

The second adds a simple RemoteTech to all the command pods in the Airplane Plus, this antenna has 350 km of range. If you want a longer range, just change the OmniRange value to the desired one.

Just saying... I have not been to space for over two months, only atmospheric flights:rep:

Edit: Btw @blackheart612, droptanks would be an appreciated addition in future updates. The size 0 fuel tank gets to thin and size 1 is way to bulky for normal sized (non-commercial) jet planes.

@Marcelo Silveira I'm not sure but I think @TMasterson5 has full tweakscale support for Airplane Plus which is linked in the OP. Can we get coordination here? I'll link it as a remotetech patch.

@SkyKaptn We'll see. I'm a faithful follower of stock sizes after all :P

@kiwinanday Looks like a cover for another game!

You guys enjoy it. Hopefully, Ill find someone to help me balance these.

@ZentroCatson The problem with razorback is it follows through the entire fuselage. There might be a way to implement something but that might be an entirely new aircraft mod. Best to include parts that could mimic modern jets as well but it's only on my dreams. At least for now.

This is a little late, (But I've found this late.... >.>) but a possible solution might be a series of small parts that sit on top of the fuselage behind the razorback cockpit that would provide the shape of the razorback. It could be done say, in two angles... with maybe 2 or three parts each. (Or maybe 3 parts with a toggle-able switch for the angle; not sure how complex that would be tho.) Could also have a short part with no angle at all-- To mimic how the Hawker Hurricane looks.

ZentroCatson: A work around for now would be to use the Mk 1 cockpit and put a Procedural Part structural cone behind the cockpit so it overlaps the back of the bubble. It works for now. :)
