Mass = Gravity?

Would it be possible to make some sort of plugin that would automatically assign every object a gravity value? Like say earth's mass is 5.972 × 10^21 t which would equal 1G, then just add gravity to any mass (ships, asteroids, etc) at an equivalent ratio... Talk about realism eh?

kinda like this... earth(kerbin) = 6000000000000000000000.00 metric tons (approx) and gets 1G, so you'd get about 0.00000000000000000000016666666666667G per ton :P

If you mean n-body gravitation, it's already being worked on:

If you are talking about gravitation effects from ships, parts and the like, that will probably never happen as A: The effects are so small they would fall well below the margin of error of KSP's physics simulation and B: That would be *seriously* computationally expensive

yeah, I was talking about gravity SOI for ships, parts and the like, but I did already assume it would probably be pretty laggy (which is why it's not in the game now)...

This n-body mod looks like it will be pretty nice tho...

Reason I was asking, I was thinking if you had a ship with an extremely large spherical tank (the size of a small moon), and you went around mining enough ice asteroids to fill the tank with water, it would eventually start to have it's own gravitational influence (from sheer mass), which would be kind of fun to play around with, and give a sense of what it might take to travel to another star with semi-conventional rocket propulsion technology :P ... I guess Real-Life computer technology needs to advance before we can simulate that kind of stuff heh
