Anyone plays KSP on Remote Desktop?

So I just realized that I actually get quite a bit more time into KSP because I play it from my chromebook remotely accessing my desktop when I'm not at home. I actually do this a lot because I like my mobile experiences but I do not like to drag a 30 kg piece of hardware around. What experiences have you had with this?

What's your framerate like, doing it like that?

I usually get 30 fps(when the connection my chromebook is on is faster or the same as my desktop)

Which software do you use for that? Standard windows remote desktop?
I can't imagine it delivers 30 FPS or more, as TeamViewer for example lowers the displayed colors of the screen and has an update rate of seemingly < 25 FPS.
Feels like 10-15 FPS to me, plus games would be unenjoyable due to the reduced colors scheme and compressed image transfer.

Splashtop is pretty good, free for personal use over WiFi too. I don't think it reduces the colours but I turn the resolution down for better framerate. It works well on my android devices.

It can be used over the Web but only if you pay.

I've thought about doing this on my Surface Pro 1 over Wi-Fi as KSP would probably melt it if I tried to run directly.  I'll give Spashtop a try, thanks...be fun to run KSP while waiting for the next lunar eclipse :) (just checked it's next Feb for me so heat probably won't be a problem  though it's penumbral but the magnitude over 1) .
