Ohhhh I get it.

I don't :(

Another guess for Ares, i just found a thread here on the forums - that thing looks like a Kerbal Mars Ship and is totally doable with @Felbourn's skills:

Spoiler

BTW: dispite  reading the anouncement of the mid season break, i checked Bob's YT channel for new vids. I think i get to used to this good stuff...

Asked and answered. You'll have to keep watching to find out the real origin.

Hmm, I have 30 mods with parts installed and I'm sure at least 6 of them have chutes. I'll have to go look it up. Parts are parts once I'm the VAB.

I'd knew the series will feature 'The Martian' stuffs when @Felbourn first announced the series. Few episodes ago he took re-purposed the MDV into the crew pod returning to Kerbin and recently that Hermes command pod on Mercury. Looks like we might have a Mars mission sooner or later (Don't add disco though, Mark dosen't like em'.)

Alright folks, I don't have an episode done yet for Monday, and I've got some "life in the way" so I'll reveal the secret here for my more devoted fans. I don't know how long it will be before I get to revealing it in the show. It has become kind of "bit off more than I can chew" issue due to making all my own parts, all my own game balance, lots of mods to keep maintaining, plus many of those mods are to increase the game difficulty. I spend 30+ hours making an episode and 2 of those hours are actually playing the game.

So...

Ares is the Greek god of war, also known as Mars the Roman god of war. So the show was supposed to go to Mars.

Ares was the name of the mission/base from the movie The Martian.

The show was going to have one storyline (among several) that was like The Martian.

Also, the ship I made recently was Mercury, a Roman god. The Greek name for the same god is Hermes, and Hermes was the name of the ship in The Martian.

After running the storyline that would be like The Martian I'd do more Mars colonization.

The whole series would end with a surprise after that.

So...

You named it Ares because that's the name of the ship that'll take you to mars?

He meant the Ares is the Mars mission. Whereas the name of the ship going to mars is called Hermes (in The Martian). Which Felbourn used the roman name of Hermes for his ship(Mercury) for the ship in the series.
