20 Satellite in single launch by ISRO

Some nice record for them. The indian space program launched a rocket with 20 satellites. Gets them one step closer to the record of NASA (29) and Russia (33) .

If we keep this up, we eventually will get to the point where we will be pulling kerbal level mission and launch hundreds of satellites all over the place with 1 launch vehicle.

There's a Falcon 9 launch later this year with 88 payloads, and sometime next year there should be a Dnepr launch with 100+; so it's looking more like 'within a couple years' than 'eventually'.

There already are more than 2000 sats in orbit. Debris count is likely a couple of orders of magnitude greater.

Another few hundred is peanuts.

100s of cheap satellites will generate a magnitude more debris when they degrade. The only good thing is that smaller satellites orbits decay faster then bigger sats.

What is your satellite? Our was Indonesian LAPAN A3. A small Earth Observation Satellite.
