Conceptual FIghters

[EVA_Reentry]

Hey! I have, it seems, an obsession with semi-obscure fighter aircraft, especially experimental and/or aesthetically appealing to me. Two in particular are the Northrop Grumman YF-23B Grey Ghost and the General Dynamics F-16XL Cranked Arrow fighter. While KerbalX user 'Crisk' has a fantastic replica of the YF-23B, it is heavily modded and thus unusable. A less modded version is available from Ev1IVaultBoy, but still isn't usuable. Both Sulaiman and Zawmbbeh, skilled-replica-makers, have stock ones, but they're not so accurate, due to stock limitations. I made one myself, and while it looks similar, flies like a brick two bricks glued together. The same goes for the Cranked Arrow. So, skilled replica-makers of the forums, I am curious to see what your take on these aircraft; especially the Grey Ghost, is. Post pictures!

Oh, by the way, the original YF-23a prototypes name was Grey Ghost.

Alright, a few questions:

-Does it need to be completely stock?

-Does it need to fit the same dimensions as the original, or can I go for flight characteristics, and looks over size?

-How much fuel do you want it to have?

 

Once I know that, I can start work on it

-Form over function. If it flies, I'm happy.

A little overmaneuverable, but that can be fixed by limiting the elevators control authority a bit.

Fantastic! The wings are wonderful! The only thing I think could be improved is the nose, but still! Fantastic!

 

I hope others come and contribute, I'd love to see a stock F-16XL
