Custom actions while in flight

I have found that when I am in flight I realise that it would have been great if I had set some custom actions.  Is there any way to create a custom action after flight?  That would be so awesome.

Maybe during construction .

The pc gets action groups when the vab is appropriately upgraded, then you press 1,2,3 etc during flight. However, in the name of realism I can see why you couldn't do this after launching.

Tip: before upgrading to action groups you can add actions to brakes/gear/abort buttons if you not using them, ie-brakes on a rocket.
