Methods we use to consentrate

We all have some form of way of getting ourselves into a creative thinking setting, whether it be sitting in a nice peaceful area to think, or listening to music.

So what ways to you guys all use to create that thinking enviroment that create such wonderful ideas and ships in KSP, or even modding?

I like to wait till night time, and turn on a movie from my space playlist, I usually will put on interstellar or 2001 space odessy.

Listening to music, mainly.

Well, that's not what I do for creativity so much as for not losing my cool when listening to climate change/moon landing denialists, flat-earthers, and my history teacher.

Dance music.

No. I'm serious. I've got hundreds of those bass-heavy, repetitive, mindlessly-lyriced (if lyriced at all) tunes on my computer and I do all my best writing, editing, and coding while they're playing.

Typically my playlist of 8 Duran Duran songs set to shuffle, sometimes my playlist of 17 songs or Pandora on 80's Pop. Now I'm going to go listen to A View to a Kill.

At the risk of being a cliche, I do a lot of thinking in the shower. Somewhat less cliched, I also do some of my best thinking while driving (especially night driving). I find both activities to be deeply calming, and they give my mind the freedom to wander and get some serious thinking done without the risk of falling asleep.

I do most of my thinking when I'm sleep deprived at school during a boring class.

Seriously. I come up with some really unusual theories.
