Turn down jet engine exhaust graphics?/bug?

I made the move to 1.2 and was testing a boat. The jet engine exhaust graphics are overwhelming.

Is there a way to turn things down?

"Fixed": Edit out the ModuleSurfaceFX module in the engine cfgs.

It got so bad I needed to turn it off on all engines

ModuleManager lines:

@PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleSurfaceFX]]
{
  -MODULE[ModuleSurfaceFX] {}
}
