Posting Glitches

I was writing a chapter for my story and when I wanted to post it it did not post. I clicked it a few times and it still did not post. I reloaded the page ( which normally works and keeps my written post before it is posted ) and when I clicked to reply everything was gone.  Any suggestions?

Sorry to say that the chapter is likely lost at this point. For longer posts I have found it is best to compose in a text editor or word processor and save normally, then copy it over to the forum for posting. I know this doesn't help with your lost work but it might be able to prevent losing work in the future.

Yeah, I run into this now and then... but in my case, I'm not sure it's the forum, or if my internet signal blinked.  Either way, the best thing to do is what our fearless leader @Red Iron Crown says and use Word or something like that to write it out, then copy and paste it into a forum post.

Yeah. It's been ages, but when I write a new chapter for Recover Vessel, I write it in Word or Notepad first.

If the size and font in Word is different from the one on the forums will the forum change it into the default font of the forums?

( I know, it sounds weird )

Formatting is preserved where possible when pasting into the forum editor, though you are given an option after pasting to remove the formatting and just keep the text.
