Nice! No, really, this is awesome!

I guess someone has to do the honors and make this thing in KSP... what do you think?

Spoiler

The upper stage is solid as well, right? I put an LF engine on this... :P

This would be so much easier w/ procedural parts, actually.

:confused: A real aerospace company CEO just liked my post...

Glad you like it, it doesn't really fly very well at the moment. It's a WIP. KSP could use a hybrid SRB, it would work well... but first the "flea" needs to changed into a vacuum-optimised SRB.

A few questions, what are the cloud one's dimensions? And what happened to that "official mod"?

Oh wow, an aerospace Company CEO is actually posting on our forum. Good luck to you, and we all want you to end up competing with the best.

Good luck from The Guy Who Makes Half-Baked Mods But Is Called OwenM.

@Tristonwilson12, I may have an insane rocket that could hopefully launch 5 full-size satellites to MEO or even a lunar base. But it needs maybe 3 stages, or reusable stages the SpaceX way. Do you think Cloud Aerospace can possibly do it with you current budget?

Not currently moon base, but we are developing a rocket that can launch 16 tons to LEO

For those curious, the future Cloud Aerospace launcher lineup is as follows;

From left to right;

Vapor, a methane based recoverable booster

Cloud 1 Plus, a standard Cloud 1 core with 2 Luna IX cores attached

Cloud 1, our current rocket, solid rocket fueled first stage with a hybrid solid rocket fueled second stage. First stage is recoverable

Luna IX, our largest sound rocket

Luna IY, our medium sized sounding rocket

Luna IZ, our smallest sized sounding rocket.

Now sadly I cannot provide numbers as to stats (even though I work for Cloud Aerospace). However I can say that the Cloud 1 rocket is still on course for it's test fire in November with it's launch set for early 2018. That said, our focuses are on Cloud 1 currently with these other launch vehicles close in mind.

So stick with us as we keep working and we'll try to continue to post updates as they happen! Fun times ahead!
