Whenever I hear it when im not supposed to it feels very weird.

My alarm is anything that achieves both these conditions:

 

1. Loud and annoying

2. New enough that I'm not used to it yet
 

Due to #2, it changes rather often (otherwise I sleep through it!)

Care to elaborate on this? I've been thinking on modifying my bed for something like this...

Also, "beep beep" here too. I learned long time ago that I start to hate whatever music comes disrupting my dreams... so I use the standard beep sound on my phone because I don't want to hate my own music...

I have mine set to this infernal noise called "Piezzo alarm".

It's so irritating I make a point of waking up before it goes off, just so that I don't have to hear it.

I have a rooster call. It is annoying enough to make me wake up.

My alarm clock is no longer waking me up. I'm used to the sound. I'm starting to use my nook as an alarm. Samsung has some strange tones.
