Kethane Station Ship Submissions (Military Ships)

Hello!

By now many KSP players and frequent visitors to the spacecraft exchange have come across the previous ship submissions thread for @HatBat's wonderful Kethane Station military-themed KSP video series, the latest episode of being Episode 25:

The series is quite similar in nature to Macey Dean's "Spiritwolf" and EnterElysium's "World War K".
The show also utilizes Nassault-style cinematics when advancing the plot.

During the second season of the show, @HatBat started experimenting with other military space agencies within the world of KS. After managing submissions on his own for a long time, he asked me to assist him in keeping things under control. This thread is where you'll be able to submit military ships and resource vessels under the name of your own space agency for future episodes, following the guidelines/rules below.

Rules:

Please confirm that you've read the rules at the end of your submission. Otherwise your submission will be ignored.

- You may only have ONE POST PER SUBMITTER. You can however create a small post linking to your submission regarding submission updates within the Kethane Station Discussion Thread.

- When/if you update your submissions in your post, please let us know in the discussion thread linked above.

- Keep it stock. There is a single exception for BD Armory (continued) for atmospheric craft like fighters, bombers and tanks, etc.

- Try to keep ships efficient in part usage - please try not to be impractical with your design's part count, as they will be loaded ingame alongside other craft of similar sizes and complexities. If a ship is a major problem to work with (due to lag, size, etc.), than its chances of acceptance are lower.

- All ships submitted must be thoroughly tested and if they're found to be non-functional then submissions from that user will have to be ignored. We don't have time to ask people to fix their broken ships.

- Starships that can reach orbit legitimately will be have a better chance of being used (i.e., having a launcher for a capital ship, or having a manned fighter be able to SSTO, for a couple examples). This is just a suggestion, but keep in mind it's easier to work with an orbit-capable ship.

- Submissions aren't just limited to warships, logistical ships, miners and stations - are all welcome. However, adding some useful tactical information about a vessel along with a category will help, and aid in providing some unique info to your submissions.

- When submitting you'll need to be as neat as possible. Have a clear title for your company/manufacturer and every ship along with it's category. Include an Imgur album and good pictures of the ship(s) in action (make sure the images are well lit). @Mobius's post is a great example of how to go about this. Host the files on a well known site like Dropbox or KerbalX, otherwise we will not download them.

- You must add information about your space agency so HatBat can mention it in the show if he uses one of your craft. This could be a simple bio or an entire history. If you don't add information then your ships will be credited to HKA or GMI directly. However, don't pump any company lore full of crap like 'Oldest company on Kerbin' 'We have our own warp drives' 'We entirely colonised another planet'. It will be ignored. Along the same lines, please do not assert actions of HKA and/or GMI outside of the show's plot.

- Please pick a side: HKA or GMI. While it is just a recommendation, staying on the fence makes your agency/submissions harder to work with.

- Designs CANNOT utilize game exploits/bugs (think kraken drives, missiles designed to induce physics bugs, broken parts, etc.) to function. This applies to ships, munitions, armor, and so on.

- Ships may NEVER be designed with intent to ram other vessels.

- While yes, it may be fun to try and make some nigh-invulnerable or all-powerful ship of doom or superweapon, please try and keep your submissions fairly balanced. It's just not fun for one submitted ship to one-shot every enemy vessel it touches in an episode.

Corporation Description & History

Cyten Aerospace Industries [pronounced sci-ten] is a global aeronautics and defense corporation, renowned for the construction of air and space defense systems. Cyten initially began as a small aircraft company, but over the course of half a century, has grown to include numerous domains in the arms market. During the beginning of the golden age of aerospace development, Cyten earned a name for itself in the field of high-altitude flight and aircraft propulsion. After their breakthroughs, Cyten spy aircraft were used for reconnaissance in all corners of the globe. Their success allowed Cyten Aerospace to become a prominent member of the combat aircraft industry. If there was a conflict between two of Kerbin’s nations, Cyten aircraft would likely be found in the arsenal of one of the opposing sides. Since then, Cyten has even grown to procure armored vehicles and missile systems, both of which have been successful ventures.  

Soon, the Kethane market and interplanetary travel caught the world’s attention. After gaining international recognition and a solid foothold in the arms industry, Cyten believed it was necessary to begin spacecraft development, in the hopeful prospect of future Kethane mining operations. Development began into a successful line of spacecraft, and Cyten’s cargo ships were frequently chartered out to deploy networks of satellites into orbit. After forming a foundation in spaceflight, the Cyten board of directors announced an initiative for a fleet of heavy cargo SSTOs, with the capability to travel between planets, establish a Kethane outpost, and return without refueling. Such a technology, Cyten knew, would be revolutionary for civilian space flight. Using popularity gained from aircraft sales and spaceflight missions, millions were invested into research and development of the line of spacecraft. The future of CAI looked bright, up until the HKA-GMI conflict’s climax with the launch of Cerberus Station.

Once GMI gained total superiority over Kerbin’s orbit, faith in Cyten began to falter. GMI declared a tax on all missions into orbit and Cyten’s fleet of spaceplanes were grounded indefinitely. Investors knew the millions of funds transferred into their space program would likely never be recuperated, and the price of shares in Cyten quickly fell. Within a few months, Cyten’s economy tanked, and the price of a stock in the corporation dropped to an all-time low. After multiple months and dozens of assets liquified, it became clear to the panel of directors that bankruptcy was imminent if GMI dominance continued. As such, following contact from the Albion and the splintered remains of HKA, Cyten made an executive decision to enter the “Kethane Wars,” in order to secure the future of the company. As just a shell of its former self, the new era of space warfare will make or break the corporation, as success will lead to untold profits, and failure will lead to the collapse of the corporation.

 

Cyten Aerospace Industries is sided with HKA in the war, due to the damage caused to the company following GMI’s takeover of Kerbin orbit. Cyten believes the GMI monopoly is dangerous to the stability of the space market sector.

 


 

 

Ground Support - Vehicles

Cyten's executives know that in order to achieve superiority in space, the ground war must be won as well. Therefore, Cyten Aerospace has deployed advanced armored vehicles developed and tested before the shift to deep space operations. While the corporation specializes in air and space systems, combined arms can never be ignored, and the amount of boots on the ground can affect the tide of the war.

 

 

AV-25A2 Vikus Infantry Fighting Vehicle

The AV-25A2 "Vikus" is an eight-wheeled armored fighting vehicle able to travel over any terrain, with the capability to carry a squad of six kerbals in the back. The Vikus is heavily armored, and it also boasts an armament of a 30mm autocannon and twin .50 caliber machine guns for infantry fire support. Following the Vikus' deadly tendency to flip at high speeds, Cyten engineers went to work designing an improved model. Thus, the Vikus-A2 was born. The Mark 2 model adds higher reliability without compromising the standard model's combat prowess. Remodeled armor was added to the front for increased protection, a rotating infrared targeting camera allows for greater situational awareness, and new smoke deployers can keep the Vikus and surrounding infantry concealed from incoming enemy fire. Furthermore, the Vikus' center of mass has been significantly lowered, keeping it from being highly prone to tilting at high speeds. To prevent a catastrophic wipeout, the aerodynamics have been tweaked; now the Vikus has a constant downward force pushing the wheels to the ground, preventing the wheels from rising during sharp turns. The most important change, however, is the new wheel system. Earlier Vikus models had basic, unreliable suspension which often broke tires during off-road travel. Now, the Vikus can handle even the largest jumps with ease. These new additions keep the Vikus as one of the deadliest vehicles on the modern battlefield.

AV-1A1[HA] Valrus Main Battle Tank

The AV-1A1[HA] "Valrus" is the newest model of Cyten's premiere third-generation main battle tank; highly mobile, heavily armed, and well armored. Its main weapon is a 120mm smoothbore cannon, supplemented by a 30mm chain gun and twin .50 caliber machine guns for close-range defense and infantry support. The modern Valrus is the newest edition among a line of hardened MBTs battle-tested in numerous wars across Kerbin. Compared to the older AV-1, AV-1IP, and AV-1A1 models, the updated [HA] "Heavy Armor" variant utilizes next generation, high-performance composite armoring to protect its crew from enemy projectiles and explosives, providing advanced defense against anti-tank missiles and shaped charges. The Valrus additionally comes equipped with two ten-barreled smoke grenade launchers which create a thick smoke that conceals the tank and its surroundings from both visual and thermal imaging, as well as up to three barrel-launched guided missiles to disable enemy armor from extended ranges. With its versatile blend of mobility, defense, and hitting power, the Valrus is the heavyweight champion of armored ground warfare.

Ground Support - Aircraft

In order to support the air superiority and ground personnel support, Cyten Aerospace has ordered the deployment of various military aircraft from their production line, effective immediately. Battle-tested in small conflicts around Kerbin, these aircraft are piloted by veteran Cyten test pilots who are all too eager to switch back from testing the new generation of aircraft to conducting combat sorties.

 

F-73 Aquila Multirole Fighter

The F-73 “Aquila" is a twin-engine multirole fighter aircraft with a very high degree of three-dimensional maneuverability. Utilizing a swept wing blending into the fuselage and leading edge canard foreplanes, the Aquila excels at post-stall maneuvering, and can perform stunts thought impossible by many. Its powerful engines allow the Aquila to reach speeds in excess of 350 m/s at sea level and 800 m/s at altitude, while carrying a full fuel and ammunition load. The Aquila is capable of executing 15 G turns at three times the speed of sound, and is completely controllable after stalling, making it an exceptional aircraft for dogfighting. For both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions, the Aquila can carry an impressive payload of weaponry on any of its ten hardpoints. The aircraft's blend of speed, agility, and firepower will easily make it an important aspect of the HKA Coalition air forces.

F-51E Garuda Strike Fighter

The F-51E "Garuda" is a two-seat, twin engine strike fighter designed to carry an immense payload of weapons through long-range missions without the need of refueling. It is part of the latest generation in Cyten fighter aircraft, including numerous experimental upgrades to improve performance. The primary upgrade is the canards located in front of the main wing; these extra foreplanes provide enhanced maneuverability at all speeds, allowing the Garuda to maneuver on the same scale as dedicated dogfighters, even while it carries an air to ground payload. For ground attack missions, the Garuda is capable of holding over six tons of ordnance. For air superiority missions, it can carry a deadly payload of over a dozen assorted air-to-air missiles. With its sheer amount of firepower, the Garuda will be the heavy hitter in any strike package.

F-93 Condor Light Fighter

The F-93 “Condor” is a single-seat and single-engine light fighter, capable of both fighter and attack roles with a unique delta-wing and front canard wing configuration. Even with a single engine, the Condor has speed and maneuverability comparable to its twin-engine counterparts, still capable of reaching speeds in excess of Mach 1.5 at altitudes. The simple airframe design, matched with its high angle-of-attack and very low stalling speed, allows the Condor to operate in any corner of the world from any improvised airstrip. The Condor can carry a variety of air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions on its eight hardpoints, truly making it a light fighter that’s anything but. Its low price tag, high combat performance, and incredible adaptability lets the Condor provide a sturdy backbone to any Coalition sortie.

FV-08B Corsair VTOL Fighter

The FV-08B “Corsair” is a single-seat multirole fighter, with a trait not shared with many other aircraft: it can take off and land vertically, even with a heavy weapons load. The Corsair can achieve a vertical takeoff by employing two powerful engines located directly beneath the center of mass, pushing the Corsair upward with sheer force. This VTOL capability gives the Corsair to operate from any flat surface, even aircraft carrier decks. It comes equipped with a 30mm chain gun located underneath the nose, which the Corsair can effectively use to support ground forces as it hovers in place. Additionally, the Corsair does not sacrifice any air-to-air performance for the ground attack mission, and it can hold its own against even the most formidable adversaries. These qualities have made the Corsair a well-respected name in the communities of various marine branches across Kerbin.

A-01 Thunderbird Attack Aircraft

The A-01 “Thunderbird” is a single-seat, straight-wing jet aircraft developed from the ground up for the air support mission, unlike most combat aircraft. The Thunderbird has superior maneuverability at low speeds due to its large wing area, high aspect ratio, and twin turbofan engines. The Thunderbird’s low stalling speed and ability to loiter in combat airspace for longer periods makes it a better ground-attack platform than faster fighter-bombers. Its main armament is a heavy 30mm cannon on the nose and hardpoints to carry large payloads underneaths its wings. To protect itself against ground fire, it has a hardened fuselage, double-layered airfoils, and a titanium bathtub to protect the cockpit, providing protection against strikes that would disable conventional aircraft. In the event of a missile strike, it is sturdy enough to return to base with an engine and half a wing missing. The Thunderbird’s strength, durability, and combat prowess has let its name be synonymous with CAS all over the world.

B-20 Aurora Strategic Bomber

The B-20 “Aurora” is a strategic bomber featuring a unique flying wing design for low-observation characteristics. The Aurora was designed to carry heavy ordnance for deep-penetration strategic strike missions, meaning it must be able to travel deep into enemy territory and release its payload, which could include nuclear weapons. When at its cruising altitude of 10,000 m, the Aurora is incredibly fuel efficient, and without refueling it can easily circumnavigate Kerbin at the equator. In order to address the inherent flight instability of the flying-wing design, the Aurora uses a complex fly-by-wire system, that can automatically manipulate flight control surfaces without direct pilot input in order to maintain stability. With the capability to carry four supersonic cruise missiles in its internal weapons bay, the Aurora can provide precision strikes against targets virtually anywhere.

A-310 Hearthaeven Heavy Attack Gunship

The A-310 "Hearthaeven" is a heavily armed, long endurance attack aircraft, sporting a wide array of specialized air-to-ground ordnance. Rather than carrying a payload of missiles, bombs, and other munitions, the Hearthaeven employs a deadly arsenal of ballistic weapons on its port side: two 105mm howitzers, one 30mm autocannon, and two 20mm gatling guns. During an attack, the Hearthaeven can execute a left-wing pylon turn, flying a large circle around the target, allowing it to fire for far longer than a conventional aircraft's strafing attacks. Using the infrared camera on the side, Hearthaeven gunners can effectively tear even the hardest enemy armor to shreds. To defend itself, the Hearthaeven comes equipped with two sets of four flare dispensers located on various parts of the fuselage, creating a distinct "angel wing" appearance, as well as four chaff dispensers and an on-board electronic weapons suite. The Hearthaeven's capability to target an opponent for a long duration with pinpoint accuracy will make it an invaluable asset for all allied units on the ground.

The E-676 "SkyEye" is a large airborne early warning and command center. The main feature of the SkyEye is its powerful radar, able to detect and monitor all targets within a 20 kilometer radius. With that radar, the AWACS provides the all-weather surveillance, command, control, and communications that are paramount to Cyten and HKA air commanders. When used in conjunction with an aerial strike package or a ground task force, the SkyEye can can be positioned at the edge of the enemy's air defense network, to provide real-time targeting data and threat updates. The passenger compartment can hold 42 operators, and is filled to the brim with computers that can detect and track enemy units at all altitudes, as well as radio equipment capable of communicating with all friendly forces on any frequency. For complete situational awareness, a SkyEye is a necessary addition to any major operation.

C-50 Andromeda Cargo Transport

The C-50 “Andromeda” is a four-engine transport aircraft, capable of lifting large payloads across Kerbin’s continents. The Andromeda is a cargo transport unique in the way that it can perform both tactical and strategic airlift operations. With its four engines and large wing area, the Andromeda has the capability to take off and land on small, impoverished runways where supplies is always frequently required. When unable to land, the Andromeda can easily deliver its payload by airdropping it out of the back ramp, making the Andromeda ideal for supply drops and airborne assaults alike. The Andromeda is certified to carry payloads up to 40 tons in weight, and with a full fuel load, the max takeoff weight is 82 tons. Since logistics is the most vital part of every aspect of modern warfare, the Andromeda provides the lifeline for supply to meet demand.

Nothing could be truer of this vessel. The K-16 is a missile-based fighter-bomber with medium range and dogfighting capability. It may have a high takeoff speed, but once in air, it is maneuverable and fast. 2 or 3 of these at most can take down any plane GMI throws at them. JAI test pilots have confirmed that the K-16 is not, in fact, indestructible. This is a minor problem, and rest assured that the intern responsible will be dealt with appropriately.

K-75 SSTO Combat Unit

The K-75 has Kerbin SSTO capability and a standard docking port system. It's a missile-based fighter-bomber that is sluggish in atmosphere but maneuverable in vacuum. Warranty void if in combat. Life support system not included (just kidding).

Why not deploy a bunch of one-time use drones for attack runs, so we won't lose lives? So we did exactly that! It has a launch clamp (not shown) to help launch it. It has no way to land, so use it well!

KG-43 Defender

When the KSC was captured by GMI, JAI began research into better defensive technology. The result was the KG-43 Defender, a drone defense platform that can shoot down enemy aircraft with its missiles as soon as they come into range (most of the time). Simply roll it out at the base of your choosing and turn on Guard Mode. It lacks armor because any attacking aircraft will (hopefully) be destroyed or disabled by the time they are able to shoot at the Defender.

KG-29 Retaliator

At the Battle of KSC, Coalition forces had barely won the tank battle part of the battle, with only one HKA tank surviving. We seek to remedy this by making the KG-29 Retaliator, a multi-purpose tank and tank destroyer with anti-aircraft capability and the ability to shoot down any bombs, air-to-ground, or ground-to-ground missiles thrown at it. Batteries not included. Seriously, I forgot batteries, just slap some tiny ones on anywhere for an ElectricCharge buffer.

Eagle-class Cruiser

It's very important to have a strong presence in space, and the Eagle-class cruiser is designed to help with that objective. It is interplanetary-capable, with over 4 km/s of Delta-V fully fueled and armed, and carries four Camwise-class Guided Missiles and four Bartdon-class Torpedoes. It has an actual bridge, which up to 5 crew at once can EVA into (from the Lander Can) and be in for cinematics.

     Eagle-class Cruiser: Attach the top decoupler of the rocket to the center LV-N, and use A LOT of struts to secure it.

Camwise-class Guided Missile

The Camwise-class Guided Missile can home in on targets using the "Target+" function of SAS. Fire it by decoupling it with the right-click menu, and then switching to it, target what you want, press "Target+", activate the engine, and then hit "Z".

Bartdon-class Torpedo

The Bartdon-class Torpedo cannot change its attitude once fired. Fire it by decoupling it with the right-click menu, and then switching to it and activating the booster (there is a probe core which is offset inside the booster).

Armed with the armour and firepower of a fortress the Arkadii Soyuz Class Battleship is a very deadly asset on the battlefield. Her main role is now for ground support in aiding naval invasions. The Arkadii Soyuz was designed at the end of the Great Arms race as a counter the the Naboo Class battleship.

Name: ADN-CA

The ADN Combined Arms Provider is a coalition between the former civilian aircraft manufacturer Aerodyne and the underground arms supplier Northern Military Systems corporation.

Aerodyne Industries was a large aircraft manufacturer, specializing in building medium aircraft for governments and civilians alike. It was a prosperous business, but it didn't last. When the clouds of war began to appear, demand for Aerodyne's unarmed aircraft began to dry up. The company was at risk of going defunct, until one day a mysterious letter appeared on the desk of the CEO, addressed, cryptically, from the NMS corporation. This was the beginning of a new, more profitable, and altogether shadier business for the company. The aerial expertise of Aerodyne, in combination with NMS's specialization in spacecraft and armored vehicles, allows for an exceptionally well-designed series of combat units to be manufactured, regardless of type. When our informants began reporting of turmoil between the HKA and GMI, the Coalition smelled a chance for profit and power. Soon, hidden factories around the world began manufacturing a new line of vehicles the world had never seen before.

The ADN-CA is aligned with the HKA, due to a previous grudge with the GMI. Despite the better contract from GMI, it was determined that the extra 200,000 roots per month wasn't worth getting backstabbed.

T-2 Self-Propelled Gun

It might not look like much, but under the modest exterior lies an extraordinarily versatile and deadly vehicle. The T-2 SPG is a revamped version of NMS's M28 Gun Motor Carriage. This up-gunned and redesigned version is equipped with twin 105mm heavy guns in lieu of the M28's four 30mm guns. This renders it far more effective against enemy armor. With a maximal effective range of 2.8 kilometers and the capacity to destroy an enemy MBT with only two shots, the T-2 is a menace at long ranges. In addition, its high mobility and spaced armor give it surprisingly good survivability when faced with anything up to and including 30mm shells. Unfortunately, due to its light armor, it can be destroyed easily at close ranges by autocannons. Carries 3 crew with an unmanned backup core.

T-29 Tank Destroyer

The T-29 is designed for close urban combat and long-range combat alike. Equipped with a single 105mm howitzer mounted off-center and a .50 caliber machine gun for infantry support, it is capable of combat in any situation conceivable (other than in space, of course). It also boasts a relatively low cost, due to its usage of twin fuel cell engines instead of RTGs. Furthermore, the front of the tank is nigh impenetrable, deflecting most incoming shots without a second glance. The 50 cal is instrumental in providing cover fire and destroying incoming missiles, though it is a bit less good at the second job. If you decide to use the little window slit, be sure to control the craft from the internal OKTO probe core.

T-37 Medium Tank, ATGM Variant

 The T-37 AVT is a lighter and more maneuverable version of the T-37 Medium Tank. The T-37's twin 30mm turrets have been replaced by a host of different rocket turrets, designed for long-range harassment against better-armored foes and enemy command centers. The Hydra rockets allow it to fight at medium ranges, on the go, while the TOW missiles are able to obliterate enemy units from far away. However, unlike the T-37, it is inadvisable to sustain even minor hits, as the drastically lighter weight is accounted for by the removal of much armor from the sides and the lower glacis of the tank. It carries 5 kerbals in the back, where they are relatively unlikely to be dinked by an errant cannon round.

AVT-11 "Cutter" APCFV

f6ZlZD6.png The ATV-11 is a rapid attack vehicle designed to support and carry eight infantry soldiers into battle. Held as part of the ADNMS Strategic Reserve, it has proven its mettle over hundreds of hours of field-testing. Armed with a small 30mm autocannon as its sole armament, the AVT-11 is not able to engage in long-range fights with heavier opponents. However, it excels at close-quarters strategic combat, being specially designed for taking advantage of hull-down situations, which allow the vehicle to use its ridged armor to maximal effect. In comparison with a certain similar IFV tank, the AVT-11 is slightly heavier and larger, but is more durable and sexier overall. The Goalkeeper turret is also capable of protecting nearby units from airstrikes during contingency situations, which raise its overall usefulness during firefights. It is capable of resisting fire from Oerlikon guns indefinitely from a range of 700 meters, and is completely immune to 20mm and .50 caliber rounds from 350 and 60 meters respectively, assuming all rounds hit the upper glacis from a 0-degree angle.

M68 Combined Gun Motor Carriage

The M68 is a rapid attack vehicle designed as a front line weapon platform. Equipped with decent frontal armor, it can resist several hits from the enemy's low caliber guns. However, the vehicle truly excels at longer rangers, where its armament of anti-tank missiles and its heavy cannon are most effective. The tank has exceptional maneuverability at the cost of armor, and runs on fuel cells giving it a very long range and high top speed. To supplement its firepower, it is also equipped with a 30mm autocannon in the front which is highly useful at close range. Overall, the M68 is a better armored take on conventional SPGs, and is extremely versatile despite its shortcomings.

A1-G "Invader"

The A1-G is a STOL ground attacker designed for close air support at high speeds. It carries a host of 72-odd Hydra missiles, sufficient to level an entire battleship by itself, and four high-velocity 20mm cannons. This allows it to engage enemy planes if need be, though it is not a fighter by any stretch of the imagination. And the mounted rocket turret allows it to destroy enemy tanks with astounding accuracy. The A1-G is highly maneuverable, and very fast at low altitudes, allowing it to run away from enemy fighters with a reasonable degree of success. And sometimes, that's all you need.

AB-15 "Stratothunder"

The AB-15 is a modified B-15 Vesuvius bomber. It functions as a heavy aerial weapons platform, dropping heavy ordinance from the skies with pinpoint accuracy. Additionally, it can relay important radar information to ground troops, fulfilling a sort of command role as well. Despite appearing to be a large and defenseless target, the AB-15 is armed to the teeth with over 25 Browning MGs ready to shred any incoming fighter to ribbons. The arrangement of the weapons onboard the AB-15 allow it to fire upon enemy units at nearly any angle, giving the pilot the ability to conduct evasive maneuvers while still firing back. The AB-15 is most effective at high altitude, where it can rain freedom and democracy on those poor GMI peasants.

AF-200 "Nimbus" Fighter-Bomber

The Nimbus is a medium-range high-altitude heavy fighter. It is designed for attacking enemy bombers and fighters, though its twin GAU-8 cannons are sufficient for destroying enemy tanks at medium ranges. Fully equipped with flares, chaff, and eight missile pylons, it carries enough ordinance to level an entire convoy of tanks or ships, but is equally suited for hunting and destroying bombers on account of its exceptional high-altitude characteristics and great maneuverability in general. As a low-altitude fighter-bomber, it has very good survivability, being able to flop its way back to base with 50% of nominal wing area. The Nimbus is very easy to fly, and is extremely maneuverable at lower speeds. In live-fire tests against drones, it is able to outturn and obliterate enemy planes, while its heavy armament is lethal against anything, plane or tank.

AB-87 'Hailstorm'

The AB-87 Hailstorm is a heavy attacker designed for operation at all altitudes. Armed with 12 M2 machine guns, it is able to shred enemy tanks and planes alike, while its massive bombload (16 500kg bombs or missiles) allow it to obliterate enemy convoys. The AB-87 has remarkable maneuverability at lower speeds and an extremely long range, making it suited for anti-tank and bombing missions deep in the center of enemy territory, and a very high ceiling altitude it owes to its massive wings. Finally, the plane's robust construction allows it to withstand several hits from enemy guns, and it can fly on a single engine if necessary. Do keep in mind that despite its 3 engines it is still rather sluggish, so try to engage your foe at an altitude where their energy advantage is minimized.

Name: GOOD FORTUNE MINING COMPANY

Business: Mining and [until recently] Defense

The Good Fortune Mining company was [and still is] a small ore mining company. GFMC primarily used remote piloted drones to mine and extract various minerals from the Kerbin system. Their base of operation was on Minus, where the low gravity was exploited, several secondary bases were on the Mun. As the name suggests, GFMC had rather good fortunes, locating a sizable ore deposit on Minmus, its stocks grew and fleet expanded and modernized. But then Kethane was discovered. Thus, GFMC's investors left the small company for this new resource. But, GFMC never died out, but faded into obscurity, supplying other companies with raw ore and fuel. Then the war heated up, and GFMC thought they would be safe. Not the case, GMI, in the process of consolidating their position, attempted to buy out GFMC for their ore, which GFMC refused. Threats were exchanged with GMI [appearing to] giving up negotiations. Unexpectedly, GMI came in and seized the GFMC Mun and Minmus bases. GFMC was able to send its main carrier out to Ike along with staff and drones.

GFMC fully dedicates its materials, assets, and craft to HKA in hopes it may recover to its post-war prosperity.

GFMC: Refueler and Tender: Vulcan

The Vulcan is the second crown jewel of the GFMC fleet. It is the second capital ship, the first being the Hephaestus, capable of refueling and command. Both were constructed to ferry fuel, ore, and supplies between GFMC orbital and surface bases and are nearly identical. During the GMI attack, the Vulcan was en route to the Mun and was safely diverted to a nearby asteroid in Sol orbit. Hephaestus was shipwrecked on Minmus. Vulcan, at the asteroid facility, dumped its ISRUs and cargo holds and was hastily retrofitted for the rigors of combat. But, it never saw action, and remained at the asteroid garrison, forgotten. After the GFMC evacuation to colony bases, one head engineer remembered the Vulcan and mentioned it at the post-evacuation press conference. It was quickly decided to reassign her to HKA 's fleet. GFMC has yet to receive confirmation of the transfer order and has placed the Vulcan on standby.

The New Dawn Cooperative

The New Dawn Cooperative are a paramilitary organization dedicated to the exploration and settlement of other planets. They maintain a small fleet of light cruisers to protect their holdings. Due to HKA's dedication to peace, the NDC have decided to loan two D-51 Tempest-class destroyers to HKA, Prospero and Miranda.

The D-51 is a heavily-armed cruiser designed to take down multiple larger targets, though it is lacking against smaller, more agile craft.

The three Vindicator-class torpedoes are very potent at shredding through lighter armor, and can even punch through tough hulls to shred superstructures.

During the first engagement the Vindicator-class was destroyed, it eliminated the opposing SK-CRV on the first shot.

The secondary Dauntless-class missiles are no less powerful, and provide the most value against lightly armored ships at close range.

Also, the D-51 is fully equipped with a launch vehicle capable of placing it into a 120km circular orbit (circularization is done on the ship's engines).

Civilian Sector

While the NDC's fleet is nothing to scoff at, the civilian sector is where the Cooperative focuses most of its energy. Recently the engineers have developed a rapidly deployable colonization system for low-gravity worlds capable of supporting the NDC's fleet wherever colonies are built.

The base setup is modular and expandable, and can easily support warships through refueling practices. It also has a large garrison (8 crew, easily expandable to 20+), and features ports for defensive weapons (I don't have BDA downloaded, so this is pure stock). Assembly is a little tedious, but the end result is a unique and modular base with a lot of functionality.

In the decades preceding the twin monopoly on Kethane established by HKA and GMI, several moderately powerful private and public commercial alliances controlled much of the ressource market and backed related conflicts all around the world. One of these were the Kalban states' industries, mainly relying on oil and metal exportation for sustainment. That was the only real "private" economic activity, and all other services were provided by public companies within the alliance.

However, when Kethane was discovered, the Kalban states found themselves ill-prepared for they were one of the rare non space-faring countries. As the price of fuel fell down, economical unrest also fell on the country. Despite urgent projects for space exploration and investing in its defense industry, the breaking of the states was inevitable, and thus began a decade long series of civil conflicts, starting when two of the states declared independence and decided to fight for it when it was refused. In the end, all six states split and formed their own republics.

After the dust settled, several of the formerly state-owned companies found themselves short on clients and funds. The only possible choice for survival was a massive merger of all of those working in a similar sector. Thus, in the transport and defense industry, all former military and civil contractors merged their development and production facilities, the largest contributors being M&C Aviation, a civilian aerospace manufacturer, Kalban Logistics, a major ground contractor for the former Kalban army and  Aimbot Labs, an aerospace defense contractor. Thus the acronym name "MDL", MCA Defense and Logistics was chosen.

With fewer and fewer civilian offers and a massive call for armament by all sides of the conflict, MDL ended production of most airliners, cars and the like and focused on either converting peace time vehicles into logistics one or developing new weapons. Because of the lack of space experience, production has been limited to atmospheric assets, although there are plans to continue the research initiated by the Kalban government.

As of now, MDL stands with GMI as it believes that the monopoly it will establish will bring economic stability and prevent another crisis.

Built to replace the F-2C series as a carrier fighter, the F-10A Cormoran is a single-seat naval fighter that includes several novel features. The use of combined canards and elevator gives it unprecedented maneuverability, while keeping the aircraft safe for computer operation. With a light weight and two Panther engines, it can easily breach Mach 1 at sea level and reach over 850m/s at higher altitudes as cruise speed, while still retaining the capability to easily take off from either aircraft carrier or airstrips, even short, improvised ones. With its ten hardpoints and FLIR targeting pod, it can bring any weapon in the arsenal from AA missiles to bombs and AT missiles to support ships in the air, on the sea and landing operations on the ground. The F-10 is a polyvalent fighter which can take part in any operation, anywhere, any time.

F-4 "Cobra series"

The F-4B Cobra is an advanced twin-seat super-maneuverable air superiority fighter. The B version makes the plane more autopilot-friendly in addition to adding more powerful engines. These give it a maximum speed of 850m/s at altitude. Build with long-range patrols in mind, the F-4 has large fuel tanks enabling it to cover areas thousand of kilometers wide without using drop tanks, keeping maneuverability intact. Despite its size, it is a very nimble aircraft, able to surprise and stay on the tails of smaller fighters. It sports an astounding 16 hardpoints, which can take anything from missiles to ECM and targeting pods if the need for another use would arise. With a complementing crew of two and large payload and range, the F-4 is the sure choice for an aircraft to wrestle the skies near and far.

Even with this new model, its large size makes it an easier target for radar and guns in close range dogfight, thus suggested use is keeping it at very high speed and turning back once the missiles are fired and locked instead of slugging in a dogfight.

MDL F-6 "Longbow"

A hypersonic interceptor created in response to equally fast bombers and reconnaissance planes, the F-6 Longbow is one of the few armed aircraft able to match those aircraft in range and speed, with a cruising speed of 1200 m/s at 20 000 meters altitude. The combat load is spread between a pilot seated at the front and a weapons/radar officer at the rear. With its drop tanks, it can also be used for long-range patrols and battlefield interdiction by circling out of range of the enemy AA network. However, this performance comes at the price of poor maneuverability and high operation costs. Armament consists of four PAC-3 missiles mounted in fuselage recesses and another two under the wings.

MDL F-2F+ "Super Predator"

A twin-engine multirole fighter optimized for dogfighting, intended to fill the gap between light fighters and costlier interceptors. Stemming from long development of a sound airframe, the F-2, while aging, is still an obvious favorite among former Kalban pilots with which it served. However, appearance of a new generation of fighters forced a major modification, giving way to the "Super" prefix on aircraft brought to F+ standards. While keeping a heavy load of 12 missiles and a Vulcan autocannon, the F-2F+ can claim to be one of the most maneuverable aircraft in service, being capable of maneuvers such as Kugachev's Kobra at speeds of only 40 m/s, while capable of cruising at over 800 m/s. While its countermeasures are no longer on the latest edge of technology, the Predator series is still seen in many skies due to its good handling and low price, and will surely keep flying for years to come.

MDL F-2FN/F-19 ASF-505 Sea Predator II

As the F-10 "Cormoran" failed to attain its customers' expectations, MDL began work on a replacer. The most promising proposition was based on an extensively modified F-2 airframe, with new slightly smaller wings reducing drag in addition to being foldable, allowing storage on aircraft carriers. Electronic countermeasures were also given an update, with extensive jamming equipment installed in and ontop the fuselage. Although it was designed as a BVR missile fighter, the FN can also handle itself in close range dogfights, although this requires a good pilot knowing the plane and the art of energy fighting. Performances were so promising that the Air Force also operates the fighter, albeit under a different designation, the F-19 ASF-505.

MDL F-25 Fencer

Despite several modernizations, refits and drastic redesigns, it was felt that the F-2 airframe had reached its limits after thirty years of service. Thus was begun a new project, under the code name "FA-SARR" (Frontline Application of Stealth and Active RCS Reduction), to create a fighter to replace the Predator in air superiority roles. Focus was put on stealth, as the name suggested, resulting in a sleek aircraft with less than 2/3 of the radar cross-section of the F-2, while simultaneously lightening the plane by two tons and increasing maneuverability. It was recently accepted into service under the designation "Fencer", and proves a powerful challenger to any current designs in BVR and WVR combat.

MDL F-13 PLFP (Predator Light Fighter Project)

Before the fall of the Kalban states, a contract was issued for a new light fighter, which would replace the F-2 series. It was to be smaller and cheaper to produce, while retaining same or superior armament and performance. Development was interrupted during the civil war, but a single prototype airframe was hidden for further testing. The project was picked up after the merger, and developed into the F-13. Despite having only a single engine, it has a higher top speed and same armament and maneuverability capability as the F-2F+ models. It is intended to compete in the same market as the CAI "Condor", AAI "Leopard" and RET "Arctic" as a cheap but capable light fighter, mainly on missions from improvised airstrips near the battlefield, its short autonomy restraining it from going any further.

C-1 "Petrel" cargo series

The C-1 Petrel was an aircraft mainly designed by the M&C wing of MCA-DL. When other cargo planes would bring small supply boxes and jeeps, this plane was designed to transport dozens of tons of fuel or kethane, small tanks and space shuttles. With six J-90 engines, the cargo has a dry TWR of 2.09/1, making it theoretically possible to bring its weight in payload. The maximum safe weight to bring has been limited to 70 tons to prevent overloading the structure, although much more can be brought in emergency. When empty and with a full fuel load, the C-1 weighs over 110 tons and can reach 180 tons when loaded, making it by far one of the heaviest planes in service with any air force. A triple 30mm turret is present in a tail compartment to ensure defense during military operations. In addition, a camera was installed inside the cargo bay to monitor the payload or crew during the entire flight. The main disadvantage is that it requires significant space to land and take off, making its operation viable only in fully-equipped airfields with runways stretching over at least three kilometers. Despite this, the sheer weight of material or troop it can bring makes it a very crucial plane. Because of the parachute activation system, drops below 300m above ground level are not recommended.

GROUND ASSETS

 

Attack VTOL AV-1 "Tiger"

A lightly armored VTOL specialized in anti-vehicle warfare with its two unguided rocket pods and eight Hellfire missiles, coupled with a M230 for short range and anti-air defense. Unlike other companies, MDL decided to pack the engine block into the fuselage, resulting in a more compact design and a smaller target. Combat efficiency is optimized by sharing the load between a pilot and a weapons operator. The armor can repel a few machine gun rounds, but is vulnerable to anything bigger. Unlike similar precedent VTOLs, three afterburning engines are used, giving it a maximum speed of 100 m/s and higher climb rate. However, its lack of ECM and anti-air weapons makes it vulnerable when not used with air superiority.

T-942 MBT prototype

The T-942 is a direct development of the aging Wolverine 1A1 MBT. After shortening the chassis, the vehicle is much more lightweight and compact, while retaining the same armor as the older tank. Armament remains the same with a roof mounted twin 12.7mm machine gun for air and local defense, along with the smoothbore 120mm cannon. Sideskirts are included to keep mud from the wheels and act as light armor for them. The major change is the installation of a turboshaft engine designed from the Wheesley, which allows for a vehicle that is both faster and can climb steeper hills. In addition, the refuel-less autonomy of the engine is much greater than that of electric plants, allowing for over an hour of non-stop driving at 30% power, which amounts to about 20m/s. The disadvantage is that the heat signature produced by this engine is so great some infrared missiles have been able to lock on it, and may cause burns to any Kerbal following too close to the exhaust. When these issues will be ironed out, full production will begin under the name of "Wolverine 2A1". Currently, a batch of fifty pre-production vehicles is being built.

Wolverine 2A5

The turboshaft engine mounted on the Wolverine 2 series provided good off-road performance, but was ill fit for urban maneuvering with long reactions times leading to many incidents where tanks crashed into buildings. It was thus decided to couple it with an electric propulsion system, creating a hybrid propulsion model under the name "Wolverine 2A5". Each wheel is powered by a small electric engine which guarantees quick reaction in small confined, while the main turboshaft engine is used for long-distance movements. Also a novelty is the Coliseum Active Protection System (CAPS) designed to intercept incoming missiles and provide limited anti-air capability with precision exceeding that of a manually aimed roof-mounted machine gun.

Drones were used in the KSC situation, but bringing them to the battlefield required months of traveling through mountains. MDL engineers thus began experimenting on simpler ways of sending combat vehicles, and development has resulted in the ATH-105 airdroppable vehicle. To keep its weight down, armor is extremely light and fuel supplies are limited, making it unsuited for sustained combat without backup. However, with its high speed and maneuverability, it can easily harass the enemy or its logistical lines, and the low silhouette coupled with a 105mm HEAT cannon makes it able to tackle most heavier vehicles and hold down a position until more supplies are airdropped. Three of them can be fitted in a C-1B, in which they are sent to the combat zone and deployed. Loss of a sideskirt or parachute in the last vehicle is normal if it tumbles in the cargo bay.

Heavy Logistics Truck model 1 (HeLT1) 10x10

An upgraded version of an old transport truck produced by M&C. Its large cargo space lets it transport great quantities of either fuel, Kethane, troops or any other material needed. The 10x10 drive gives it good mobility in rough terrain and high speed on roads, although rough turns past 15m/s tend to make it either slip or flip on its side. Work on other vehicles based on the HeLT1 chassis is underway.

MDL 2K26 self-propelled AA gun "Tundra" W2

As most current SPAAG models use the Goalkeeper turret, MDL sought to build one equipping the promising Tundra twin Oerlikon turret. It was decided to mount it on a modified HeLT1 chassis, and this became the 2K26. A FLIR ball (not shown in this prototype) is included ontop to engage ground targets up to ranges of 2000m. The same module is used for aerial fire control, which is done using an electro-optical system, which was chosen for its low cost and lower susceptibility to jamming. Although lacking radar, the high fire rate and proximity fused shells make up for the lower accuracy.

5K20 TMTM ("Tamtam")

The 5K20 Truck Mounted Tactical Missile (TMTM, unofficially nicknamed "Tamtam") is an intermediary weapon between direct-fire artillery and full-blown cruise missiles mounted on the versatile HeLT1 chassis. It is not designed to replace equivalent ranged conventional artillery; despite its high precision allowing it to strike exactly on targets spotted on the front line, the small armament count of two missiles prohibits massed barrages unless multiple units are involved. The mounted TGM-1050 missiles have a maximum range of over 50 kilometers and carry a 1.05 ton explosive warhead, enabling it to strike targets while being well behind its own front lines.

  1. Choose launch site and point vehicle front to the general target direction
  2. Apply brakes and deploy launch elevation gear (G)
  3. Stage rocket seal and engines
  4. Select target on GPS coordinator
  5. Switch to the TGM-1050 using 2
  6. Fire using 1

MDL Model 469 Light Multipurpose Vehicle + M102U

Kalban artillery doctrine has always relied more on towed pieces easily produced and served by a large militia, and the M102U fits perfectly within these tactics. With a lightweight armored carriage, it can be airdropped easily and towed by a light Model 469 jeep, furnishing both transport and combat crew for the gun. HE shells are normally fired, but a few AP solid shots are provided although they have limited added performance due to the first shell's high payload. The M102U can thus be used from any role from mountain artillery to anti-tank gun, with high precision achieved by a very efficient recoil system involving quadruple cruciform carriage-integrated recoil springs, keeping the gun virtually fixed. Although more complex targeting and gun laying systems were added throughout the years, the gun itself is still largely identical to the original requirement issued decades ago. It thus keeps on a production streak uninterrupted for over forty years, and will likely serve for years to come.

Towing is done by lowering the carriage (G) and backing up the jeep to the gun.

Minmus III class patrol boat

This ship is designed to ensure air and ground defense around a relatively small perimeter in shallow waters, although blue water cruising capability is also included. The main armament consists of a modified "Tundra" turret mounted on the bow, offering deadly anti-air and ground support capability. Additionally, eight AIM-120 missiles are included in a rear turret mount, able to target both aircraft and other ships detected by radar. A major feature of the Minmus III are the stealth improvements. With a flush superstructure, radar cross section is reduced compared to other ships. This enables it to surprise unprepared enemies and only be detected when in visual range. However, this stealth is its main defense, its armor being very thin and vulnerable even to heavy machine guns. It is thus discouraged to use it to directly confront enemy ships or ground forces and rather stay at range where it can defend itself against missiles.

Minmus IV class patrol boat

A direct upgrade over the Minmus III, solving the problem of its thin armor. Full plate armor is provided for the hull and bridge, with some less critical parts such as the bow being left unarmored. Autonomy was also increased, as well as stealth capabilities with a new coating, more jammers and a lower height (by removing the antenna mast) to make visual detection more difficult. The Minmus IV is built for shore support and anti-ship warfare, the old AA missiles being replaced by 14 AGM-114s and an unguided rocket turret on the stern. While it lacks long-range anti-air capability, its Tundra turret can effectively defend it against nearby aircraft and missiles. This boat is designed to be used in conjunction with the Minmus III or any other efficient air defense network to cope with this weakness.

Prior to acquisition SI maintains a small fleet of its own which was often loaned to the highest bidder. These ships were more focused on movement than offence and so often became a favorite of privateers. The company is based in Vardo province and began business as a munitions manufacturer during the second Krakenary war, the company began shifting to orbital defence during the early years of commercial spaceflight. In the leadup to the company's crash Sigma Industrial continued to gain most of its income from the defence of other groups but had minor mining operations in the asteroid belt, accounting for 13% of its annual profits. After

Probe-Tek
Probe-teK is a joining of two companies Probode inc & KiloWhiskey Technologies. Both companies specialize in technology and ship production.  Early ships were mostly failures and after a utility ship incident engineers saw an opportunity for a safer way to do things. By remotely controlling the ships casualties were kept to a bare minimum. Only ever recording 3 crew deaths prior to re-instating crewed ships. The first ships were liquidated stock from others but eventually the first home built, ship the Bayonet came to light. It was slow, manned, heavy, and very sluggish. Over time refinement resulted in a ship that was second to none, popularity surged and the fleetline was expanded to include everything from the lightest production fighters to the heaviest production carriers. Over time Probe-teK became a trusted name in spacecraft production, giving it's name to even HKA efforts. But as time passed decades old techniques began to show their wear on the tried ships, ships struggled to keep up with newer names and the company began to experience losses both monetary and physical. A new generation of ships for a new battlefield was needed.

Merger/The Wilson Program

The Wilson program began in mid-2015 as a short test of the effectiveness of combat ships in live future environments. Growing from one large dreadnought design to a prototype fleet in a matter of months a need was seen to revise the design and pursue this concept further. These ships of the 3rd generation were the first to be dubbed SIC as to differentiate them from the still ongoing PTV line and Sigma Industrial was bought out to facilitate their design as a subsidiary of Probe-Tek. In late these new discoveries called for changes to be made to the line. It became quickly clear that the range of ships in the line would be greatly hindered by having to fit into cargo bay profiles, as an outcome the existing designs were retrofitted with fully winged hulls as well as a number of other improvements. Though only one design of the 4th generation would be carried through it would become the basis of the whole line carrying on. Under Sigma Industrial had grown in popularity with private firms and national governments alike, pushing the company to almost outgrow it's parent. At this time the Broadsword design would be brought in and modified to serve in the line and would also serve as a basis for other ships. The 5th generation ships would prove to be as capable a combatant in modern ship warfare as it's sister line, pushing the decision to discontinue any additions to the PTV line and focus attention on SI's developments. A number of factors gave way to the creation of the 6th generation, attempts at minimizing heat generation, visible profile, and durability in order to gain business from companies attempting to work below the radar of many defence agencies... The 6th generation became little more than a bridge between the 5th and 7th due to little cohesiveness, poor sales, and many experimental concepts. The seventh generation Features a complete fleet overhaul, plate under-armor for heavy combat ships, crew escape pods, as well as more efficient part and fund management at the cost of range at a 20% reduction and twr at a 15% reduction. The 7th generation was built for war. The 7th generation is also the first to hold the STV designation as a notice of the line now serving as the only line of the newly merged companies. Due to the complex logistical requirements of each ship Gen 8 began a focus on higher build quality and greater standardization and saw the eventual retirement of the Broadsword ending in 412.

Lotus Corporation

 

The Lotus Corporation started as a manufacture of computer parts becoming well known for making high quality motherboards and GPUs for relatively low prices. After several of their products malfunctioned simultaneously causing millions of computers to crash, break, and possibly burst into flames, Lotus Corp completely lost their reputation. With no consumer base left, Lotus Corp looked to the relatively new and seemingly lucrative Kethane mining industry, at first sending out orbital probes to scan the surface and sell the information and eventually move to mining it themselves. Plans were made to setup colonies and possibly move Lotus Corp entirely off planet although these plans were delayed with the rising conflict between HKA and GMI. With conflict in space Lotus Corp saw a profit and immediately started designing and building military ships.

With nothing left for them and Kerbin the Lotus Corporation looks to establish themselves alongside GMI among the stars.

Sharanga Mk III

Small, simple, efficient; the Sharanga is a light fighter with minimal surface area makes it a difficult target to hit and with an ion engine and plenty of monopropellant it can go far and wreak havoc with its 4 Vajra Mk III modular torpedoes. Can also be used as a communications satellite.

Trishula Mk III

Kaumodaki Mk III

The only manned ship of the Lotus Corp fleet, the Kaumodaki is a destroyer with a minimalist and rugged design, armed with 6 solid rocket torpedoes and powered by 4 nuclear engines. These ships act as the command ship for the rest of the Lotus Corp fleet and can be safely landed on planets with atmospheres using both the rockets and parachutes.

History/Background

Radiant Engineering and Technology has always attempted to keep its sights on the future.  At first Radiant Engineering and Technology was just a small company with its sights placed on small transport and commercial aircraft. However, when HKA discovered Kethane, many companies shifted their focus from atmospheric craft to larger, spacecraft. This allowed this small company to grow in size. Eventually, they were able to dabble slightly in creating some spacecraft of their own. However as soon as the Kethane War broke out, they were forced to choose between 2 options. Fight against GMI with HKA and risk it all, or side with GMI to protect the company and all of its holdings. Shortly after news came of the assault on the KSC the decision to join forces with GMI was reached. This was in order to protect the people and the holdings of Radiant Engineering and Technology. With this alliance, the people of Radiant Engineering and Technology would be able to keep on with their endeavors in creating new technology for the future.

Epsilon Class Corvette

This lightly armored corvette was designed mainly with escorting slow kethane ships and patrolling Kerbins orbit. The ship can be manned by a skeleton crew of just 2 kerbals, (one pilot, one commander) but can house a crew of four. The relay dish on the conning tower, allows greater control of the missiles. While the 2 arker missiles are quite effective, they are not advised to be used against heavy armor.  It has 2 standard docking ports, and 1 docking port Jr, which allows the craft to be refueled easily by tankers. The craft itself cannot reach orbit, so it is attached to a booster to send it into orbit. The craft is powered by 2 LV 909 LF/O engines.

ATMOSPHERIC CRAFT

Arctic Class Fighter

The Arctic is a light, small fighter. The aircraft is powered by a single J-404 Panther After-burning Turbofan engine. It is not intended for dog-fighting in close quarters, and is most useful with a wing-man. This craft is not very maneuverable at low speeds. Ordinance is not including on the wings when purchased, so it is highly customizable. It has 12 hardpoints, 6 on a wing. It is armed with a 20mm cannon on the left side of the cockpit. The fighter can reach a top speed of over 300 m/s. The craft is designed for air superiority role, but can be used for C.A.S if needed. The Arctic is in the air superiority load out in the image above. The aircraft was designed as a slightly more expensive, but a much better light fighter compared to the AAI-11 Leopard, and should easily defeat it if it faces it in combat.

The Arimus is a large multi-role fighter. It make up for its higher cost than the Arctic by being more capable of dog fighting. It is powered by two powerful Ramjets, and 1 afterburner Turbofan, for a higher top speed. It has more fuel for longer sortie times. The aircraft was designed as a much needed escort vehicle for the Tundra, which was much too fast for any existing fighter. It also supports the Radiant Engineering classic left mounted Vulcan 20mm gun. It has tons of counter-measures and can evade missiles if those run out.

Tundra Class Light Bomber

The Tundra is a light, singled engined bomber with a high max speed. The aircraft is most maneuverable at high speeds.
It can has 11 hard points, 8 on the wings. The aircraft is also armed with 1 20mm concealed Vulcan. This craft is designed for High altitude bombing, but can be used for C.A.S in a pinch. The Image above is the craft in its C.A.S format. The craft is Radiant Engineering's response to the AAI-24 Camel. The aircraft is intended for a similar role, but is faster, stronger, and better, and can fit more ordinance.

Hydra Class Bomber

The Hydra is a Tran-sonic craft with a top speed at Mach .99 flying horizontal, but can exceed Mach 1 in shallow dives. It can carry missiles or bombs. The missile variant is useful as fighter support, while the bomber variant can be used in a more conventional way.

Several of these old warbirds were found rusting in a hangar in the early days of Radiant Engineering. Due to the fledgling company havbing nearly no defense capabilities these old and rusted planes, (albeit with some modifications) became the mainstay of the early defense force. To this day it can be found still in use as a reconnaissance aircraft and is to this day still a capable dogfighter. Due to its age, it can be unstable at low speeds.

The Arsene is a highly maneuverable fighter. It is designed to dogfight, and has been proven in testing to be very proficient at their job. It is armed with AIM-9 and AIM-120 missiles and 2 Vulcans. The powerhouse of the aircraft are 2 J-404 Panther After burning engines. It is one of the finest aircraft in the Radiant Engineering Air Defense.

Requiem Class VTOL Fighter

The Requiem is a VTOL Multi-Purpose jet. It is lifted up by a single J-404 Panther Afterburning engine. It was designed to compete with the Cyten Aerospace Industries FV-08B Corsair VTOL Fighter. It is armed with a 30 mm chain gun and has several ATGMs, and 2 HARM missiles.  It is a nice dogfighter, especially when using the VTOL engine to help tighten turns. However, in rare occasions the craft can go into a flat spin, which has caused a spin recovery parachute to be installed.

Sangria Class Medium Tank

The Sangria is a Medium Tank that was designed for a high mobility role against heavier tanks. It has a Crew of 3, 1 driver, 1 commander r and 1 gunner. The tanks front is completely invulnerable to machine gun fire, and can survive direct hits with TOW missiles. The craft is highly mobile, and is Radiant Engineering's first armored vehicle sold.

Mimosa Class Drones

The Mimosa Line of Vehicles are designed to be inexpensive drones. They are armed with a multitude of weapons, and were designed to cost less than 20,000 credits. Their sturdy design can withstand large impacts. They are light, and cheap and with no risk of Kerbal life are quite expendible.

The Spearkan Federation

One of the few remaining nation-states left on Kerbin, there is a somewhat unknown quality going into the Federation; their lands in the largest southern island on Kerbin were completely closed to the rest of the planet, with the government deeming most corporations "greedy, selfish and shortsighted", however in more recent years the nation has been forced to take a more open approach following the discovery of Kethane, trading oil, high-tech equipment and food to other corps in exchange for Kethane; as a result the Federation underwent an economic boom; quality of life increased, jobs were made, it seemed like a golden age for the Spearkan people but their philosophy never went, the extra money went into fully militarising the nation, ready to combat anyone cocky enough to invade the nation for what they had.

Then the emergence of GMI and the subsiquent blockade of Kerbin happened; this came as an absolute shock to the government with a corporation managing to completely control the orbital space of Kerbin and practically grounded their operations, the government staged a referendum to show the 3 options they had: Side with the tyrranical GMI, Side with a seemingly doomed HKA or remain neutral (and therefore a de facto enemy of GMI).

When the polls came the people voted overwhelmingly to side with HKA with the Federation allocating resources when the time came to break the blockade and oust GMI forever, with this, the people and the politicians prepared, launches were scrubbed, colonies were instructed to grow their own food and all vessels were told to go dark and stay away from Kerbin

Unfortunately, this came too late for the Karametra, a science vessel commissioned to study the outer planets; Ground Control could only watch in horror when the ship was almost immediately destroyed by GMI forces as it entered Kerbin Orbit, 12 scientists and years of research went up in smoke; everyone in the Federation grew to complete, unbridled rage and with the Federation now fully entering the fray, citizens are enlisting en-masse screaming "Remember the Karametra"

The Krenko was developed with compatibility in mind being able to be used in place of a missile in any ship with a Docking Port Jnr. In expense of this ability the craft has poor offensive capabilities with its single rocket being innacurate and unlikely to destroy anything beyond a Fighter

A venerable and effective design, the Bol-Class IPBM has undergone modifications to cater to modern warfare but its main philosophy has remained the same, be able to destroy the largest of capital ships from extreme distances away, typically deployed from space and ground stations, this missile also sees limited use as armament on larger ships, most notably the Griselbrand II

Made to replace the quickly ageing Griselbrand-class Corvette, the Griselbrand II improves upon the old design with a significantly tougher frame, the armament was mostly unchanged, with the anti-fighter missiles still being used to eliminate fighters at close range and the two bay-mounted Bol-class IPBMs being able to reliably destroy capital ships from extremely long distances

The Avacyn-Class Assault Carrier is currently the largest ship in the Spearkan Orbital fleet, being the only ship being able to transport two Thalia-class Fighters on its rear side; with its 12 Isochron missiles the ship can also put down any capital ship foolish enough to stray into its line of fire

Space Stations

The Esper-class Space Station was developed as a checkpoint intended to be deployed at crucial orbital locations in the Kerbol System; however, the emergence of GMI meant only one, designated "Nivix" was deployed in a 10Mm orbit around Eve; The Esper is still an astoundingly impressive structure, capable of housing 50 Kerbals, it's six sections can refuel a variety of ships and with a total of 60 Goblin Missile and 6 Bol-class missile bays; it can defend itself extremely well.

Ground Vehicles

The Argus II was developed to address the fundamental design flaw with the first Argus Tank, the vehicle contained extremely large fuel tanks to help power the vehicle; in live-fire exercises these fuel tanks exploded violently causing the tanks otherwise amazing armour to be rendered moot.

The Keranos-class Medium tank was developed in response to the heavy demand for Main Battle Tanks in the Federation military following the success of GMI-owned tanks.

The Keranos-class Tank was a result, being able to tear up most hostile targets with its main gun and being able to hold off air raids with its coaxial 50. Cal turrets, early testing has shown remarkable promise for the Keranos, being able to shun off multiple tank shells while still being mobile, its drive system being able to take it to relatively high speeds for an MBT, as a result of its endurance and speed there are already projects to implement various other roles to the Keranos frame

Zarek-class Interceptor (Defunct)

The Zarek-class Interceptor was commissoned by the slightly maniacal Jonlas Kerman as a hypersonic air-to-air Interceptor; while being mediocre at dogfighting the Zarek was actually built as a hit-and-run Fighter, engaging at high speed, firing a missile and leaving without time for other foes to properly react. Following the death of Jonlas Kerman in his own fighter the design of the Zarek Interceptor was reviewed heavily and after further trials it was deemed "dangerous, overspecialised and not cost-effective". Following this plans for the Zarek II were put into place addressing the largest issues at the time. Most notable of which was its low-altitude performance and dogfighting capability which the new design has excelled in though still not as powerful as the Thassa, its arsenal has also mostly been supplanted with Sidewinders to further compliment the hit-and-run capability as its predecessor did. This design has proven superior in every way

Woj-Tech Industries

 

Woj-Tech industries was created by a young merchant Wojciech Kerman that later was interested in aviation and so,he bagan to make parts for other companies after few year of making financial resquorces he started with his frist project X1(sickness don't help with working) And when he put his brand new fighter on the market, GMI noticed this machine and made a contract for 50 of these planes and part of that contract was to restrict selling all of their product to GMI

Cryo Engineering Corporation

Cryo Engineering is a long running company dating back to the earliest days of private spaceflight around Kerbin, and for many years was important in the development of capital ships.

Cryo Engineering was founded originally as a small company named Comrade's Spare Parts, and after several minor successes became known for it's lead ship the Co-21, one of the first warships to use a central truss spine and spaced fuel tanks for strength. Though eventually outclassed by later ships such as the Drek, many features of it became almost standard from then on.

Later on the Company re branded itself as Cryo Engineering and switched to civilian freighter and mothership manufacturing, assisting with the efforts to explore and colonize the nearby planets and carrying industrial equipment to the asteroid belt.

Due to the GMI blockade of Kerbin, profits plummeted and all current missions had to be halted, leading to Cryo Engineering siding with HKA in the war and restarting design of combat ships.

The SF-25E 'Hastati is a dedicated space fighter, designed to be small and compact enough to be transported on dedicated carriers. Twin Terrier engines provide extremely good dV while still allowing a high TWR, essential for avoiding return fire. Twin weapon mounting points allow it to carry a light payload, and weapons can be both radial and inline with the correct adapters.

In addition twin VTOL engines allow takeoff and landing on smaller bodies such as Minmus or the Mun for refuel and resupply, and to provide ground support on airless bodies. A new feature unique to the 'E' variant is the ability to land on Kerbin in an emergency, though Cryo Engineering does not accept any liability for loss of life if this is attempted.

Grey Empire, formally known as Grey Man Empire (or GME), is a PMO, or private military organization, formed in the early days of space warfare, born out of the desire to progress and develop. The company seeks to further it's intellectual and military knowledge, crafting weapons of war and arrows of peace without restrictions. The company started out as a think tank, producing ideas by the thousands as time went on, with a notable increase in productivity during times of war and strife. Most notable would be a mining station thought up by Stronhiem von Kerman to ease up kethane flow between stations (to which he had fought and lost valiantly an argument with his colleagues about whether to add lasers or not).

It was only after several wars that G.E. realized their own potential; able to produce weapons of war unlike any the world has ever seen. After some debating, the company gained the materials needed to craft it's first sword of destruction, the beetlejuice. With this, we were able to procure entry into the Kethane wars that plagued the Kerbol System, starting a new era of prosperity for the Grey Empire PMO.

Successor to the defunct "swarm drone" that deployed from the air, this iteration of the swarm idea iterates on the minimal design by exchanging the low, flat design that easily slid around with a trilateral wing design, giving it considerably better maneuverability and reduces overall profile. This in turn makes it harder to hit, enabling it to easily drop behind enemy fighters whilst evading incoming fire. Normally, these drones fight together in pairs, one baiting the target to chase it while the other drops in behind for the kill, essentially ripping the target in half with its 20mm hidden vulcan cannon. However, in larger engagements, swarms of up to 4 or 5 pairs can be present to compensate for the added enemy craft. Normally, a fighter would land on wheels, but the Locust does not come equipped with wheels in the first place; It utilizes a vertical take off system and parachute landing system. This is done to save money and weight on the fighter itself, as many need to be produced at a time, making more expensive routes inaccessible. However, when deployed, you can be sure your enemy will run away screaming.

Not much can be said about the backstory of the SR-71. Some say it was drafted by a top secret section of GE called Charon, supposedly responsible for some of the major jumps in GE technology. Others say it was found near the old abandoned temple in the desert to the east of the continent. Whatever the origins, this plane is fast, extremely fast. Its cruising speed rests around 1,100 M/s at 20,000 meters above sea level, making it one of the fastest pieces of military hardware to exist. Designed as a high speed, high altitude recon aircraft, the SR-71 is able to avoid nearly any and all aircraft interception and ground based radar whilst using its FLIR targeting camera to take photographs of enemy establishments and movement. In the event that in interception does occur, it has several countermeasures it can call upon to defend itself. It's ECM jammers make any radar guided missiles useless, meaning that only heat seeking missiles or laser guided missiles could track the SR-71. Even then, because the SR-71 is moving at such a high speed, a laser lock would be nigh impossible, thus forcing the only option to be a missile lock using conventional heat seeking missiles. In the off chance that a missile lock does occur from those conventional missiles, flares can be deployed to evade those missiles, whilst opening up with its two .50 cal turrets that would already be in range at that point, thus limiting the interceptors maneuverability. There is nothing that can hide from the SR-71's eye, and nothing can compete with its speed.

The first atmospheric defensive measure to utilize swarm drone technology, able to tear apart anything that comes close to it. The Bastion Swarm Tower is the latest in defensive structures to come out of the G.E. think tank, relying on its 8 SDF-01 Locust MKIII Swarm Fighters to intercept any air contacts detected on its or any linked radar. Each pair of drones controlled by a single kerbal at the top of the parent tower, relaying basic tactical information and commands to their assigned wings, enabling them to act as one. At the end of  each engagement, each swarm fighter is collected from where they dropped and mounted back onto the tower.

The first in a series of ships to sacrifice aesthetics for functionality, throwing away the elegant curves for a more utilitarian design. This philosophy of function over form allowed for much more armor to be installed into the design, protecting its hull from outside attack. However, as this ship is combat dedicated, it is not fit for exploration or recon missions that would require a high amount of deltaV to execute; leave exploration to the Beetlejuice. In terms of weaponry, the cruiser is geared more towards an anti-fighter role with its large assortment of light missiles, but does not lack the capability to damage a larger vessel with its two Heavy Gutter Missiles. In testing,these missiles have been shown to nearly ignore armor and rip up the insides of the target, though they do work on the Custodes itself as
well. As an anti-fighter ship, this cruiser will make a fine addition to the fleet.

Brother/Sister to the Custodes' design, this ship is the definition of pain. The Dragon's maw boasts in combat ability with it's numerous weapons, and is able to tear apart enemy ships with ease. Anything else remaining can be cleaned up by its Surgeon Missiles. In order to protect some of these weapons, the Dragon's maw's armament is split into two sections: a bow and an aft. This is to protect its weaponry in a fight if either half of the ship got separated, so it can continue to function as two different vessels. However, this function cannot be activated willingly, and shuts down once electricity runs out in the aft section during this function. Like the Custodes, the DeltaV had to be lowered in order to fit the military hardware inside the vessel, and is strictly a combat ship unlike the Beetlejuice. However, when 
faced with a daring foe, this ship will show them what pain really feels like.

Draerospace Industries started as a simple civilian plane company, well known for its "Krobhopper" line of pesticide spraying airplanes.  Their best seller was the DK-25, a plane lauded by Kerbal farmers the world over.  Soon however, they turned their eyes to space, and started making satellites for the then-fledgling Kerbal Space Center.  As soon as profit from this endeavor proved to be more than Draerospace ever made from farming aircraft, they sold off that division.  Now fully involved in making satellites for KSC, they became successful.  So successful in fact that they were able to restart their aircraft business, this time with a focus on serving the needs of the military on Kerbin.

When the war began, DI found themselves caught in the middle.  Unwilling to choose a side at first, they were content to wait for one side to show malicious intent.  That came in the form of one event: The Seige.

DI finally saw how brutal GMI was, and immediately reached out to HKA top brass to offer help.  Immediately, they got back a response, and began building automated drone strike craft to hopefully put a stop to GMI's ambitions.

Allied with GMI

Faction Description and History

The AKS Alliance is a space faring faction based on Minmus that is primarily focusing on surviving against its enemies.  Currently engaged in multiple conflicts, AKS has decided to branch out in search of technology that would provide an edge in these and other future conflicts.  One particular group that was discovered had a very important piece of technology that Alliance wanted to get their hands on.  Despite knowing full well that GMI is not a very friendly organization and it has done countless atrocities throughout the Kerbol System, no GMI activity thus far has adversely affected AKS or any of its allies, and it was decided to take the risk of opening trade negotiations.

AKS decided to strike a deal with GMI to provide a small amount of its smaller vessels in exchange for a GMI designed cruiser or battleship class vessel, a class of warship that AKS does not produce on its own and requires for use as flagships.  Of course, AKS never told GMI that they were truly after reverse engineering a warp drive that would hopefully be provided with the ship.  On the table it looked like a perfectly fair offer, GMI providing one larger vessel to AKS for use as a flagship and AKS providing a larger quantity of smaller vessels and other military hardware to GMI, with GMI completely unaware of the true motives behind AKS wanting a GMI warship.  Finally, AKS was fully aware that GMI might not honor the deal and possibly even become their enemy one day, so the AI on board all provided hardware was given built in sub directives that prevented the use of these vessels against AKS IFF transponders as well as built in backdoors allowing AKS to take over the ships if the need ever arises.

Anyways, AKSTechnologies, the tech development division of the Alliance, specializes in low part count simplistic warships that can easily match a much heavier and larger vessel in offensive and defensive capabilities.  All ships produced feature structural skeletons and while most are pretty easy to kill with high end weapons, they should be able to tank 1-4 medium grade weapons (such as the SRM) at a minimum and retain some combat abilities and mobility.  All of them are borderline immune to extremely lightweight fighter weapons (such as Macey style "ant" torpedoes).  Most ships have reasonable range of around 2000dV, and feature either decent thrust from the get go (as with the nuclear engine powered craft), or are equipped with short term boosters that bring its thrust levels up to expected levels during a fight and offer around 100-300dV worth of push.

With the heavier 60+ ton full size capital ships falling into disfavor, AKSTechnologies returned to the concept of "sub-capital" ships.  The main issues holding back such development was the lack of good armor back in the day and its questionably worth over a cheaper and more agile bomber which carried around half the firepower.  Modern advances in armor, mass compression, and compact weapons made the previously unfeasible concept sound, and the SK-0xx series was born.

The SK-002 was the first truly successful ship of this type and was intended to fill the role of short range escort where it would screen the heavier and more vulnerable torpedo boats like the SK-101 from fighters, capital ships, and anything else that got too close for them to utilize longer range ordinance effectively.  Armed with 12 SRM-1 (short range missile) launchers, it was a threat to everything on the battlefield, and while a single round was weak against capital ships, 12 of them were almost guaranteed to neuter a ship to the point it was no longer a threat and could be disposed of by other more powerful vessels.  That said, it was not without its drawbacks.  The craft relies on a dual stage engine system that uses a special booster engine for actual combat maneuvering which is limited to a very short duration.  Once these boosters ran out, the craft was often unable to catch all but the slowest capital ships, and perhaps even worse, was its inability to dodge weapons fire in this state.  Proper tactical deployment was the only way to counter the problem, but even then the sheer lack of boost fuel was the ship's achilles heel that was not corrected until the SK-003.  Finally, crew safety was sub par to say the least, with many crews refusing to fly these warships because of the high risk of fatalities and opting for either fully autonomous deployment or remote control from a droid control ship.

With the SK-003 proving its worth in the opening stages on the conflict between Alliance forces and the pirate coalition, AKSTechnologies began to focus on rectifying the drawbacks that held the 003 back.  First and foremost was a lack of armor protection.  The 003 utilized excessive redundancy to keep it on the battlefield even if the ship was shot into 10 pieces, but this approach was too complex, expensive, and resulted in a ship that couldnt be salvaged after taking as few as 2 solid hits.  The 004 uses a heavily reinforced and interlocking hull design that blocks and disintegrates incoming ordinance preventing it from dealing catastrophic damage to the internals and skeleton.  The armor is strong enough to make the craft borderline immune to fighter ordinance and allows it to take its share of capital ship weaponry before giving way.  Because it was already too heavy, the originally planned LRM launchers were replaced by KDrones to lower weight and still offer some long range anti-fighter capability.

With the focus on armor, the craft was to operate on the front lines alongside weaker but better armed ships.  It could also be used as an escort vessel for larger craft where it could use its body to physically shield the allied craft by getting in between incoming ordinance and the target.  Weaknesses include a design flaw in the armor that renders it prone to catastrophic failure if hit in a particular spot by a 1.2m torpedo, cramped bridge, sub par visibility to anywhere but in front, and relatively low ammunition capacity.  While the cockpit was well armored (compared to older models), its role as a front line damage sink led to almost unilateral unmanned deployment as there was still a high risk of fatalities when hit multiple times over.

Looking in a new direction, AKSTechnologies attempted to create a jack of all trades vessel utilizing the SK-004 as a base while integrating aspects of the failed SK-005.  The craft used a very similar skeletal design to the 004, but it did not cover it with quite as much armor to save on mass.  This did result in a lower TWR and even less mobility, but the booster engine has been proven to match or exceed the best contemporary hostile vessels in TWR, at least temporarily.  Also like the 005, this ship utilizes full stealth covering technology which severely limits the effective detection range of scanners compared to normal capital ships which mix stealth panels with heavy armor externally.  At just under 40t, and relatively low cost, it can be used in most roles from front line combat to recon with the proper modules and weapons (export version is equipped for short range frontline combat with its complement of SRMs).  Perhaps the only complain was the relatively bad crew safety when under fire common to the entire SK-0xx line of vessels.

Capital Ships (SK-1xx/2xx/3xx series)

A legacy ship created from the early days of AKS, the SK-101, or as it was known back in the day, the SK-CRV-I or class-I corvette, remains the backbone of the entire Alliance fleet with its balanced combination of firepower, range, mobility, and simplicity.  It was initially built to combat capital ships at long range, with the use of Tripedoes (AKS version of the generic 1.2m capital ship torpedo), and its combination of range and workable TWR to kite the enemy and keep out of range of dumb fired missiles.  That role later shifted to a dedicated flak-ship which was armed with multiple drones to create a massive bubble of death which protected any vessel within it from the hoards of fighters and bombers popularized at the time.

The modern version combined those roles, creating a long range support ship which could take down both capital ships and fighters.  Despite the backup short ranged missiles, engaging in close quarters is almost a guaranteed death sentence since alterations to the physics of the universe made its armor obsolete against all but weaker weapons.  Aside from the absolute lack of armor, the ship retains the exposed command bridge which was popular back in the day for spotting targets visually.  Furthermore, the vessel uses an antiquated engine layout making it easy to knock out all the engines with a single well placed shot, luckily not much of an issue due to its long range nature.

The SK-104 was created during relative peacetime and was rendered obsolete before the commencement of hostilities, but nevertheless, it had its share of strengths over the competition.  It features very thick and triple layered armor which is capable of blocking all but the strongest shots.  The ship was developed for front line anti-capital ship duty, and was armed with 3 1.2m hard points on the front.  It could carry SRMs, RT-5s, Tripedoes, and a variety of other weapons systems all ideal at killing enemy capital ships.  Because a frontline vessel would always come under harassment from fighters, the ship was provided with 8 backup KDrones to deal with unarmored targets or for situations where a heavy weapon was deemed overkill.  Mobility is another of its strengths, with triple nuclear rockets pushing a 70t warship, augmented by 8 backup ion engines which supplement the nuclear engines and allow the vessel to maintain some mobility in the event of a catastrophic engine failure where all three engines are destroyed or the fuel runs out.

It may be outdated and is a bit heavy for current Alliance standards, but its ability to deliver almost as much firepower on the battlefield as a SK-101 while having vastly superior armor protection gives it a niche that no other AKSTechnologies designed warship can truly fill.

SK-203 "Aurora" Frigate

A hybrid design, the SK-203 is actually based on the original Aurora class warship used by the Alliance which was destroyed during peacetime when a incompetent pilot navigation failure resulted in an impact with Minmus.  After the crash, AKSTechnologies developed a hybrid version which utilized many aspects of the original Aurora (bridge, sensors, engines, drone bay) but has standardized AKS hull construction, weapons, and a slightly smaller width and length.

Like its predecessor, the new SK-203 is intended as a dedicated flak ship with its complement of 12 drones as the primary weapons system.  While not intended to engage anything heavier then a bomber or fighter, the ship has been armed with 2 backup PulseC-2  forward firing impulse weapons as well as 2 LRM-1 long range missiles, both of which are capable of at least damaging capital ships to an extent.  Because it is much more specialized compared to vessels like the SK-104 or SK-006, it is best utilized as part of a strike group or fleet that has other ships capable of directly engaging capital ships that the SK-203's weapons are ineffective against while it focuses on keeping fighters and bombers off other vessels with its very precise drone weapons.  Owing to its role, armor is medium grade, capable of resisting all light munitions commonly carried by fighters, but it is not quite strong enough to deal with dedicated shipkilling ammunition such as 1.2m torpedoes.  One fatal flaw, retained from its predecessor are the weakly protected engines, which are vulnerable to both fighter based weapons and kamikaze attacks.  This prompted AKSTechnologies to include a emergency backup drive, similarly to the SK-104, which could return the ship to friendly territory in the event that both of the main engines have been destroyed.

Planetary Defense Hardware

Invented by another faction, AKS got hold of the blueprints early in its days and used these cannons to defend key locations from orbital threats.

That said, the weapon was not without its share of downsides.  For one, ammunition had to be specially made for it, and the gun could not just load any old AKS warhead and fire it into space, rendering supply a difficult and annoying prospect.  Another issue was susceptibility to enemy fire, as if any section of the weapon was damaged, it could not fire anymore, and there was always a risk of the entire weapon exploding if one or both of the 2 main reactors were damaged in any way.

Modernized AKS Orbital Defense Cannon

While the ED model orbital defense gun proved its worth, it was not without drawbacks.  First and foremost the ED cannon required Kerbal operators, and given that Kerbals cant hit the broadside of a barn, a new weapon was build from the ground up utilizing aspects of the ED cannon in its construction but with a AI core to control it.  The AKS model of cannon is fully autonomous and only requires targets to be uploaded to its firing computer, with the process of shooting and killing a ship being entirely out of the hands of Alliance commanders.  Another improvement upon the ED cannon was the shift to using standardized AKS ammunition.  A modified ER (extended range) Tripedo was chosen since it proved its worth against capital ships time and time again.  The specific model of Tripedo was otherwise the same as the original 1st gen model, but featured an extended range fuel tank to let it hit targets in orbit outside the range of a standard torpedo as well as programming alterations required for loading and firing out of the cannon as opposed to a starship's missile bays. 

Not only that, but the entire cannon was simplified, with many of the subsystems integrated internally and because of that, less vulnerable to being neutralized.  The new model could function provided there was at least one piece of undamaged ammunition in the magazine and at least one of the four total power conduits remained intact (this would drop the rate of fire by quite a bit but not the ability to fire entirely).

With a considerable surplus of LRM-1 missiles, AKSTechnologies decided to utilize them for point and low orbit defense by mounting them on a ground based launch platform.  The battery stores 10 multi-purpose long range missiles that are effective against almost all targets from capital ships to tanks, although they arent quite powerful enough to reliably penetrate the thickest armor plating.  The missiles have enough range to hit targets in low orbit around most moons, and ground targets can usually be engaged anywhere on the planet, although in practice it is better to engage within 50km due to more accurate targeting capabilities when the missiles are remotely controlled by the launcher.  Like the orbital defense cannon, these launchers only require targeting information to be uploaded to the AI core, after which the target is automatically engaged with no user intervention.

Few Notes:

All starships/fighters use staging to fire their weapons.  If long range guided torpedoes are present on board a craft, they are staged first as they should be used at long range while closing the distance between two ships.  After this (or if the craft lacks long range guided weapons) the forward firing unguided missiles are fired, almost always one at a time in a very specific sequence.  Rounds fire right to left, top to bottom, from the inside of the ship to the outside of the ship.  The first few shots are usually near the cockpit and do not require compensation at shorter ranges, while the later rounds are farther out and may require the vessel to be aimed a slight bit off target for the missile's convergence to line up with the target.  All SRM or equivalent have an optimal range of between 100 and 300m depending on the actual target (against thicker ships best to fire from farther out, against fighters fire from ~100m or so, just enough to let it build up some velocity to do damage but not phase through entirely).  Aside from that, if present, KDrones are manually decoupled and use RCS to hit a target (best against fighters or other weakly armored craft).

All ships use action group 1 and 2 for controlling their engines.  Action group 1 is the primary propulsion which is usually the lower thrust higher dV engines used for general moving around, and action group 2 is used to activate combat thrusters if they are present (only certain ships have this feature).  The boosters are good for ~200dV (depending on ship but most are near that) so they should be used sparingly and only when in combat (or during emergency landings).  Some other larger ships do not have boosters but feature emergency ion drives to return the ship home after the loss of all main engines.  Action group toggles those as well.

Everything here is provided with a launcher that can deposit the vessel at any location within the kerbin system.  All ground hardware is tested on both mun and minmus (though most of it can easily land on anything but tylo, eve, laythe, kerbin, although getting there requires refueling the transfer stage).  All starships as of this time are capable of reaching Jool at a minimum before requiring any refuels using standard hohman transfers

Many of the "capital/sub-capital" ships require the use of a crew transfer shuttle to get crew in and out of them.  This is because the ships are so compact that the hatches/ways to get out are obstructed.  To get the crew out dock anything else to the ship and use the crew transfer feature (teleportation) to get the crew in or out of the ship.

Most starships have had their original in universe weapons load outs lowered to provide a more balanced gameplay for your series.  For example the SK-006 in in universe can be armed with up to 6 PulseC-2, 2 heavier models of Tripedo on the front, along with 4 LRM-1s on the rear hard points giving it over 3 times the effective firepower of the GMI export version.  I can easily up arm these ships if you feel that they are too weakly armed for the series, but i think the current weapons load out give most of them a good niche in the close range category (most are armed with minimal guided weaponry) that is specialized enough while a few variants offer different roles like long range (SK-101, SK-203).  Anyways, if the weapons do end up too strong/too weak, they all come with docking ports so you are free to alter the weapons as you see fit to better work with your series...

Kerbal Aerospace Safety / Hazard Averter: KAS/HA (Pronounced KA - shA)

KASHA is a small and young company that specializes in safety features on space vessels. They are a very friendly and somewhat naive company that only wishes the best for other companies - assuming the other companies are not off slaughtering Kerbals or blowing up rivals. They do not normally send spacecraft up, they primarily create blueprints and sell designs to other companies.

The mortality rate of the recent battles in space have made them strive to make safety features for combat vehicles. However, they were promptly ignored when attempting to approach GMI with these ideas - most likely because they didn’t know how to contact GMI in the first place - and with the blockade preventing some of their blueprint and part buyers unable to get to space, they decided upon an alliance with HKA.

Their flag is a red wheelbarrow witth a green background. The wheelbarrow represents the potential cart-fulls of Kerbals that would not survive missions without pre-installed safety systems. The green background represents the company’s young age.

KASHA pilots are given specific instructions when they are sent out to assist HKA Forces.

1. All commands from KASHA headquarters are top priority, even if HKA says otherwise.

2. Do not intentionally go for kill shots. If an enemy Kerbal dies from splash damage done by the weapons or some other unavoidable action, it is considered unintentional collateral damage. However, you cannot fire at command pods or capsules directly with the intention of killing.

3. All ships are considered property. Do not damage any other ships in any way, unless it is a hostile warship.

4. You are permitted to fire back if fired at.

Cases such as 1 and 3 will be very rare, as KASHA trusts HKA to lead well, and that KASHA pilots are not known to be clumsy or malicious.

Due to their budget limitations, they have a total budget of £500,000. No single ship is allowed to exceed £150k. Because KASHA is a blueprint designer, the ships below with their description labelled in BLUE are only paper designs tested in simulators.

Archangel Arms Initiative

 

The Archangel Arms Initiative (AAI) was founded shortly after the begin of the 'Kethane Station'-conflict as a conglomerate of several smaller military aviation and aerospace companies all accross Kerbin. Specialised in military aircraft, the AAI began designing and producing manned and unmanned aircraft to provide the HKA with enough firepower to turn the conflict in their favor. The AAI President, A. Kerbington, is a very conscientious man who tests every new design himself first to make sure that it packs no danger for the HKA pilots.

Designed as a cheap and easy to produce fighter the 'Leopard' is highly favored by paramilitary and rebel groups alike.

Powered by a J-33 'Wheesley' Turbofan, the 'Leopard' is capable of reaching subsonic speeds .

Armed with 4x AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and 4x Browning M2 machine guns with 300 rounds of ammunition each, the 'Leopard' isnt the hardest hitting competitor in the sky, but its cheap price and maneuverability compensate for the lack of firepower.

The AAI-24 'Camel' is a two-seated fighter designed for ground attacks and bombing runs.

Relatively heavy for its size, the 'Camel' doesnt stand high chances in a dogfight, but the powerful J404 'Panther' Turbofan provides it with enough speed to outrun enemy S-to-A countermeasures while providing it with decent maneuverability.

The 'Camel' is capable of carrying a wide variety of Air-to-ground missiles and bombs and comes from factory equipped with 2x CBU-87 Cluster bombs, 2x Mk82 SnakeEye bombs and 2x AGM-65 Maverick missiles.
Once out of missiles, the 'Camel' makes use of it's two Vulcan 20mm machine cannons, which are capable of swiftly wiping out even large platoons of enemy ground forces.

The 'Camel' is also capable of reconnaissance and surveillance tasks, making it the perfect backbone for every kerbal airforce.

The AAI-29 'Eclipse' derived from the 'nextGen' fighter program initiated by AAI.
After it became clear that the AAI-11 was heavily under-performing compared to more recent models, the head office of the AAI decided to design a new, advanced fighter aircraft.

The 'Eclipse' got rid of the old J-33 turbofan and is now equipped with a J-404 'Panther' turbofan, also featuring an afterburner, which gives the 'Eclipse' the ability to break the sound barrier and reach supersonic cruising speeds.

Mainly designed as an Interceptor, the 'Eclipse' features decent maneuverability whilst providing the pilot with a larger amount of firepower than the old 'Leopards'.
The armament consists of 2x AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and 4x AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles as well as a Vulcan 20mm machine cannon with 600 rounds of ammunition.

The AIM-33 'Lancer' is the first 3rd-generation fighter jet introduced by AAI.

Designed with a new, experimental wing design and nose canards, reaching supersonic cruise speed provided by the two J-404 'Panther' engines and featuring an unmatched maneuverability, the 'Lancer' is primarily designed as an air-superiority fighter, clearing and securing the airspace for following waves of bombers and ground attackers like the 'Camel'.

With an armament consisting of 4x AIM-120 AMRAAMs and 2x AGM-88 HARMs as well as a standard Vulcan 20mm machine cannon with 600 rounds of ammunition, the 'Lancer' is capable of taking on several targets before having to restock on missiles and ammunition.

The combination of heavy firepower with supersonic cruise speed, vector-thrust engines and a superb maneuverability gives the 'Lancer' the capibility to outperform its competitors and makes it the Apex Predator of the skies.

The AAI-6 'Executive' is the first and to this date only Bizjet produced by AAI.
This Version was modified to my own standards and is highly improved in comparison to the original model.

The 'Executive' features nose canards and forward-swept wings and is powered by two 
J-404 'Panther' turbines, who bring this baby up to supersonic cruise speeds.

Further modified are the defense capabilities, in addition to the standard active countermeasures the 'Executive' features a backwards facing gunner position under the belly, consisting of a 360° rotating dual Browning M2 turret as well as four foward-facing M2s in the nose.

F-Technologies

  Company History:

Prior to the discovery of kethane, Fish Technologies, or F-Tech, became infamous for their disasterous  attempt to introduce aquatic life forms into the oceans of Laythe. Shortly afterwards the company was bought by a wealthy businesskerbal who re-purposed  the entire space agency to mining kethane. Instead of setting up operations on the surface of other bodies and having to compete with other companies and potential aggression, F-Tech began a string of asteroid mining operations which brought in significant profits and went largely ignored by other companies. Nevertheless they secretly built and maintained a modest space navy in case anyone tried to steal their assets. Their success would not continue forever though, as GMI's invasion and blockade hit the company hard, forcing their mining operations to either stop or pay a heavy tax to GMI. Under these new sudden impositions profits began to dwindle and the company seemed to fade away into obscurity, but all hope was not lost. The company finance manager slowly began to fill the company's coffers by gambling making several secure stock market purchases, and F-Tech slowly regained its footing, though with a new motive: to overthrow GMI. Secretly contacting HKA they offered assistance in freeing Kerbin from GMI's presence, and began designing and testing a new line of spaceborne warships. They were nearing completion but unfortunately weren't ready to launch when HKA began the siege of Kerbin, and their original secretive fleet was hiding round the dark side of the Mun to avoid detection, and lacking warp drives, had no way to reach Kerbin in time to assist the recapture of the planet. After the Destruction of the blockade and reclaiming the KSC, F-Tech considered themselves in debt to HKA and quickly approached them with the offer of placing the new task force under HKA command, and a trade deal. Post Siege of Kerbin, they are considering building a permanent outpost in the Duna system, and have sent advance scouts as placeholders to discourage other corporations attempting to control the Duna system themselves.

Gaia Fleet

Gaia Fleet is a still in construction fleet under F-Tech command, funded by a combination of mining profits earned after the GMI taxes were lifted, and a employer winning the lottery. When finished it should consist of The EX-5 Oceanus Assault Carrier, The EX-6 escort Coeus and Crius, and The EX-7 Hyperion, which is still in development but when completed should be able to rival ships on the scale of the destroyed Aegis. The fleet has the eventual goal of relocating to Duna, where F-Tech probes have detected a potentially profits resource in abundance. It should hopefully be able to single handedly defeated a blockade of Kerbin sized force. Though it is a big aim, and quite possibly won't come to fruition on that scale, work is continue if at a steady pace and it is more than capable of assisting HKA in their goals.

 

EX-7 Hyperion Class Destroyer

The Flagship of Gaia Fleet, The Hyperion is the most powerful vessel in the F-Tech aresenal, packing 18 I-Beams In two reloadable and swappable missile pods, 6 individually mounted G3 Torpedoes, the main weapon of the Fleet, and experimental G4H Heavy torpedoes, capable of tearing ships apart in one shot. And if it doesn't, There's a second one. :) It's experimental hull structure allows it to take  multiple hits and even lose entire sections and keep fighting. it has two escape pod located in rear bays capable of deorbiting and landing on atmospheric and very low gravity worlds. All in all, it should keep F-Tech secure against competitors and help HKA in their goals.

EX-9 Eos Class Stealth Gunship

Designed as an multi-purpose Stealth scout vessel, the Eos was specially comissioned for The secretive Duna Initiative, the Eos is suited for long missions in deep space. A lightweight vessel, it is powered by quad fuel cells and propelled by eight ion engines in sealable bays. It features multiple stealth systems designed to deceive sensors and scans, and is the only vessel to date to feature Thermal Signature Cloaking TM, which alters the Eos's thermal output with hundreds of microscopic radiators built into the hull, allowing it to appear as any sort of ship or debris to thermal scanners. It also features electronic countermeasures and a incredibly reliable planetary scanning system for marking anomalies and planetary bases from orbit. If it chooses to engage a hostile, it has 6 I-beams and 4 G3 Torpedoes at its disposal. In the unlikely event the centre section is destroyed, both wings have dual H3 Torpedoes and are cabable of running all four engines at full power. An Unique ship, only 3 have been built for the Duna initiative, but one is being gifted to the HKA fleet.

EX-11 Atlas Armoured Strike Fighter

Commissioned by the Duna Initiative, The EX-11 was designed to work in conjunction with the EX-9, wherein the Eos would scout out and identify targets in sensor Stealth mode, and call in an attack squadron of Atlases, then reveal itself and engage from the back lines. The Atlas is the first fighter to be fully armoured with capital ship grade plating, and only weighs 14.9 tons. It carries 2 salvos of I-Beams that can be precision fired with the targeting iron sights, and 2 experimental G5L Light Torpedoes designed for use against lightly armoured targets. It may be suitable for carrier operations, as it is only 6 by 6 square metres. These fly in squadrons of 3, and due to their specialist abilities only 3 squadrons have been built, with one given to HKA to work with the Eos.

EX-5 Oceanus Class Assault Carrier

The first of a new fleet of vessels, the Oceanus was constructed using the funds earned after the GMI tax was lifted. Due to the previously unthinkable scale of the ship, it was assembled in orbit. (Translation: doesn't come with a lifter, sorry.) It carries 3 EX-3 Recon fighters and is powered by 8 LV-N nuclear motors. This vessel was not gifted to HKA and answers to F-Tech, though it has been assigned to work in conjunction with HKA's space navy and its crew defer to Commander Cadmus for most military operations.

EX-6 Chronus Escort Picket

The Cronus was designed to be a cheap but effective escort to the heavyweights of Gaia Fleet. To lower the cost as mining operations hadn't quite started bringing in big profits yet, it uses a experimental chassis design in which it uses a large, angled plate to deflect shots impacting the top, and Multiple layer thick plates to protect the internals on the bottom. It carries four heavy torpedos, and though its armour isn't going to stop a bomb, it will protect it against a respectable amount of unguided fire. Being remotely controlled by technicians aboard the Hyperion and Oceanus, it can be thrown into battle without risk of kerbal life.

EX-3 Class Recon Fighter

 The EX-3 was developed as a long range assassin style fighter, capable of taking out capital ships with its twin heavy torpedos. It also packs 4 i beams for lightly armoured targets. A modified variant is also available with the canards removed for carrier use.

Apollo Fleet

The Apollo Fleet had been in construction for over a year, and were developed to assist HKA in the recapture of Kerbin, meaning they mostly are designed for offensive operations with the execption of the Paradox. Sadly arriving to late to assist in th Siege of Kerbin, F-Tech feeling guilty after promising support to HKA almost immediately offered to place the fleet under Commander Cadmus, to replenish HKA's severely depleted navy.

Paradox Class Patrol Picket

The oldest ship in the F-Tech fleet, the Paradox class is designed from the ground up to eliminate smaller, lightly armoured targets and as such does not have any guided weaponary. This puts it at a disadvantage against larger vessels but even so one shot from its 6 I-Beam missiles could potentially cripple an capital ship. It also has dual klaws for scavenging weapons severed from destroyed hulks of ships, a feature unique to F-Tech's fleet. All this combined means the Paradox is perfect for defending your planet while you jaunt over to Duna to rescue an employee. :wink: Action groups are in the description.

The Quantum Leap is built to fulfil multiple roles, with 8 I-Beams ideal for taking out fighter and light patrol vessels, and 4 guided heavy missiles designed to disable larger capital ships. Heavy armour means it can absorb most I-Beam shots with only superficial damage, and LV-N engines mean it can travel longer distances than heavier warships. All weapons are reloadable with docking ports. Action groups are in the description.

Asgard Industries

Asgard Industries was formed shortly after the Kethane boom that rocked Kerbin and the aerospace industry.  Made up largely of workers who felt slighted or mistreated by their employers, Asgard Industries is entirely based in space and only maintains an office planetside for the sake of legitimacy among the other giants of the industry.  When the HKA/GMI conflict began, Asgard Industries opted to remain on the sidelines and continue the development of their mining and construction facilities in the asteroid belt, however with the recent escalation of the conflict and the loss of revenue caused by GMI's takeover of Kerbin, they have begun to retrofit some of their mining vessels and bulk freighters as warships.  They have also begun negotiations with HKA and sent the first of their newly retrofitted Mjolnir class assault frigates as a show of solidarity.

 

AIS Gungnir

The AIS Gungnir is the pride and joy of the Asgard Industries fleet, acting as a mobile base of operations for industrial research and development as well as being the flagship of the newly formed military arm of the company.
As a research ship, the Gungnir is equipped with two fully stocked laboratories. It also has provisions in the hangar bay for science probes or modular instruments, and with it’s 4,500m/s of Delta V it can reform extended research missions.
On the military side of things, the Gungnir comes equipped with four Trebuchet long range guided missiles, however it can host up to eight of these formidable weapons via four auxiliary ports in the hangar bay. If the hangar bay is not occupied by missiles, it can host up to twelve small fighter or research craft, and, with it’s generous storage space for all types of fuels, keep them operational on extended missions. Additionally, the Gungnir sports twin refineries, and when supplied with ore, can extend its missions indefinitely.

Asgard Industries has yet to deploy the Gungnir, however they have assembled a small fleet to accompany it in its first mission.  This fleet includes one Mjolnir class assault frigate and two Sindri type mining ships.  The Sindri's are tasked with keeping the Gungnir supplied with ore, as well as keeping the Mjolnir vessel properly fueled.

The Mjolnir class frigates were initially designed as sturdy, long range bulk freighters, and were a common sight in the Kerbin SOI, doing contract work and delivering fuel and industrial equipment to various locations. However, with the recent Siege of Kerbin and the growing conflict between GMI and HKA, Asgard Industries began converting some Mjolnir Bulk Freighters into assault boats.  The new Mjolnir Assault Frigates proved to be surprisingly effective, and are capable of fielding a large assortment or armament options, the most common loadout being two of the formidable Berserker semi-guided rocket, and six Archer guided missiles.  The Mjolnir class vessels are also equipped with dorsal and ventral docking ports and both local and long range communications systems, which make it an ideal command vessel for an advanced fighter or drone strike.  The first of the Mjolnir class assault frigates has been assigned to aid HKA's extraplanetary operations.

Sindri type Mining Vessel

The Sindri type mining vessel is the backbone of the Asgard Industries fleet.  An extremely versatile craft, the Sindri was initially designed as an asteroid miner, however, it soon became an all round workhorse, filling many different roles.  It's spacious ore tanks and built in refinery made it an ideal fuel tender and it's respectable range and well appointed crew space saw it in use as a personnel transport on several occasions.  While it can hold up to five crew, the Sindri usually flies with a Pilot and an Engineer.  Asgard industries, pleased with the success of their design has put the Sindri type in their catalogue, in the hopes that it can help offset the losses the company is experiencing from the Siege of kerbin.

Dvalin Planetary Miner

The Dvalin planetary miner is a recent development by Asgard Industries designed to provide access to the abundant resources available on the surfaces of some of the smaller planets and moons in the Kerbol system. This rugged craft is capable of delivering to orbit a full load of 3,000 units of ore from Gilly, the Mun, Minmus, Ike, Dress, Val, Pol, Bop, or Eeloo. Having no on board refinery, the Dvalin planetary miners are dependent on vessels like the Gungnir or Sindri type miners to refuel and drop off their loads. Crew accommodation on the Dvalin is adequate, with room for only a pilot and an engineer, however the space is not cramped and crews can always stretch their legs on the surface if they get restless.

C-Gear Aerospace is on the HKA's side, and is specialized in planes and atmospheric vehicles of all kinds. They are most specialized in fighter planes, and the Porter E-1 is their very first SSTO. They are used to work with B9 Aerospace, so stock-exclusive ships may take a while to be adapted.

E3 Defense Solutions - History

E3 Defense Solutions began as an isolated, self-sustaining colony, called Haven, on an island. It was funded by a group of rich men, who hoped to create a secret society that could ride out the wars and general chaos that plagued Kerbin. They were successful in doing so: Haven flourished over the years, growing without outside interference. Nobody but the colonists even knew that it existed.

The colonists branched downwards, building a vast underground network of bunkers. They were completely invisible until the boom in the spaceflight industry. Advances in technology came about. Satellites could observe an ant from high orbit. Of course, the colony's presence was mostly underground, but some of their surface infrastructure could be seen.

At first, nobody even bothered with the colony; it looked small and insignificant when compared with other colonies, and it was left alone. However, when ore scans revealed that there were large amounts of valuable resources, greedy corporations descended upon the island. They believed that they could simply oust this small colony and take the resources for themselves. But, they were met with fierce resistance. The conflict was quickly and decisively finished. They were driven back by a force they could not see or comprehend. It shocked them, and they left the island in defeat, hoping to one day come for this valuable location again.

What they could not have known, however, was that they severely weakened Haven's military. Both forces were not prepared for the conflict, but they were still able to do significant damage to each other. Thousands of colonists were dead, and many more were injured. The colonists grew worried that they would not be prepared when the corporations came back. Many changes were made. Haven's focus moved from prosperity and self-defense to militarization.

Naturally, the colony grew into a military corporation, run by a council, that focused on creating and selling military hardware and services to other corporations and countries. They specialized in unmanned military vehicles and aircraft, but they had not ventured into space combat until after the war between GMI and HKA broke out.

When the war came, E3 Defense Solutions (E3DS) secretly sided with HKA. They felt empathy for HKA, because they had been through a similar ordeal, long ago. Now that GMI has seemingly been destroyed, E3DS will continue to lend support to HKA, especially now that they must rebuild.

F/A-44 Valkyrie

Initially meant only to be an attacker, the Valkyrie performs both roles of fighter and attacker. This is due to the modifications made during the design phase, where it was realized that the jet could serve as a fighter as well as an attacker with the addition of front canards. After debate over whether the Valkyrie could perform both roles effectively, the addition was finally agreed upon. The canards were added, increasing the maneuverability of the Valkyrie and making it a very effective aircraft.

F-56 Sentinel

One of the very few manned vehicles produced by E3DS, the Sentinel certainly isn't hampered by the lack of a probe core. With the help of the advanced on-board computer, a skilled pilot could win almost any fight in this aircraft. It's fast, maneuverable, and beautiful, if I may say so myself. The Sentinel can maneuver at very low air-speed due to the well balanced air-frame and the thrust vectoring engines.

The UASF-30 Eagle is a highly maneuverable unmanned air superiority fighter. The Eagle, unlike most aircraft of its time, has a cannon that can fire at any target in a small cone in front of the drone. This gives it a tremendous advantage in a dogfight, as it can engage targets with deadly precision.

UBI-36 Dragonfly

The UBI-36 Dragonfly was originally a reconnaissance and strike drone. However, the creation of the Firefly rendered it obsolete. Hundreds of these drones had already been produced, so it was decided to refit them to serve the roles of cheap bomber interceptors and fighters. These little drones are maneuverable and fast for their size, and have a high thrust-to-weight ratio, allowing them to climb straight up without problems. Surprisingly, they are also able to support large amounts of countermeasures, and even an ECM jammer, making them a pain for enemy aircraft to deal with.

UCAV-42 Firefly (No longer in use)

The UCAV-42 Firefly is an advanced, autonomous VTOL gunship. It is capable of carrying heavy cargo with its afterburning engines. It is a very versatile aircraft, capable of employing many different loadouts. The Firefly has two 30mm chain gun turrets mounted on the underside. It has two radars on each end, allowing for detection of aircraft in all directions. Finally, it is equipped with two ECM jammers, and plenty of chaff and flares. As a result of these features, the Firefly is a deadly and resilient aircraft.

M5A1 Sabre

The M5 Saber was designed to be a fast but heavily armored unmanned MBT. The recent additions to the tank, called A1 (advancement 1) include an M230 chain gun, a targeting pod, and two Hellfires on the rear of the tank. The M230 is used against aircraft,  light armored targets, and infantry, while the main cannon and the Hellfires are used against more heavily armored targets.
All M5 Saber MBTs are to be fit with the A1 additions by the end of next year.

MIML-45 Patriot

A variant of the EMTV-45 Loire cargo truck, the MIML-45 Patriot is a very mobile anti-aircraft missile launcher (hence the acronym: Mobile Interceptor Missile Launcher). The only downside of this vehicle is that it has no on-board radar, and therefore must rely on another vehicle with radar capabilities (using its radar data receiver, of course). However, it does benefit from this, because it can not be targeted by anti-radiation missiles, as it has no radar for them to home in on.

SPG-57 Bishop

After the most recent ground battle between GMI and HKA, it was realized that nobody actually seems to have any artillery. Or tank destroyers, for that matter. The SPG-57 was created to fill these gaps. A mix between the two, the SPG-57 is a very useful tool on the battlefield. It's fast and reliable, and it has a good amount of armor all around. It has room for three crew members (and two passengers, if necessary), but it can be used without any crew thanks to the well-protected probe core.

There's only one major problem with the Bishop: instead of a mantlet, the gun goes through an open hole. Even though the gun can be stowed and the sliding hatch can be closed to cover the hole, the tank is completely unprotected against surprise chemical and nuclear attacks. Plus, it can't even use the main gun in a toxic environment. This is due to the fact that the creator could not think of a way to make the mantlet (blame KSP, not me), and the gun couldn't be mounted outside, as it wouldn't be possible to safely reload it.

The UFSV-43 Scorpion is an unmanned fire support and reconnaissance vehicle. Its main role is to probe enemy defenses and to provide fire support for its combat group. The Scorpion has 2 chain gun turrets, allowing it to fight against all enemy vehicles and aircraft. It is a versatile vehicle, and, despite its small size, it can be very deadly. The Scorpion's most notable feature is its ability to suppress enemies and to cover friendly vehicles. It has 2 smoke countermeasure pods that allow it to deploy a smokescreen for cover.

UMAA-29 Rhino (No longer in use)

An improvement upon the Wolverine fighting vehicle chassis, the UMAA-29 Rhino is a capable SPAAG. With its TWS locking radar, it can track and engage enemy aircraft and missiles with pinpoint accuracy. It is able to send and receive radar tracking data to and from any vehicles in its AO. With its 30mm Millennium cannon, it has proven to be capable in its role as an anti-aircraft vehicle, but it is also able to perform the role of a fire support vehicle very well.
