Option To Remove Top Of Engines

Recommended Posts

In KSP when trying to make engine clusters, sometimes you have to use the move gizmo to get them right. However, sometimes you can't move it all the way out otherwise the annoying top of the engine pokes out. What I'm suggesting is there to be a left click option on engines to remove this piece. (If even possible) This is what i'm taking about.

Oh boy, the tankbutt debate again. I remember when this was a hot topic on the forums... that take me back.

While I wouldn't mind it, it's never really been a problem for me. I've never had to build a rocket with tanks too big for their engines.

It's mainly a problem if you try to cluster lots of little engines spacex style.

Yes remove these stupid tankbutts and make all engines surface attachable please. I take it we'll never get an actual choice between different engines for the same usage, at least give us the ability to make clusters.

tankbutt

I've been a member of this forum for a while now and had no idea what a tankbutt was referring to... I saw this thread today and will have to admit, I snickered at the whole tankbutt concept. :DI've seen it thrown around here and there all over the forum, but for some reason, it has always made me snicker... I guess it's too much like the old Wayne's World thing coming back to haunt me... (hehehe, @Gaarst said "tankbutt!) Thank you all for the good laugh on a day when everything else has seemed to go awry!
