Definitely!

Make sure the pushing part (leg, airbrake Ect) are on the main craft then all you have to do is separate the moving part and you never have to select it (making sure it can dock to a second port of course) :-)

I've gotten the actuators to trigger when on the disconnected part without craft switching, but weird probe core and action group shenanigans were involved. So generally, this is the best way.

Can you post photos from your camera? Because I can't take them with the Xbox

Yes of course, just make sure they are clear, not too close to the screen. Then upload it like a regular screenshot.

If you make this I think it will be the first time ever on console!

I'm on mobile, so no direct links.

This is the page that shows the insides no my F-35 hinge.

I don't know about the others' designs, but on my F-35, you have to switch crafts to keep the throttle up after decoupling. In order to create one that doesn't require craft switching, you need to have two docking ports that it switches between. @JollyGreenGI has a F-35 that can be flown without switching craft, for example.

Not quite true, haha. While my Lightning II automatically switches back to horizontal flight mode, it still needs to be manually moved into VTOL position.

But! I did give switch free swivels a try...

I have a couple others, but this was the most polished imo.

I was surfing the forum a few days ago and I say this craft, it is what got me interested in building planes not only to work but to look awesome too :)
