simply editing mu to use dds?

Hi everybody,

Would like to ask if converting a TGA to DDS and editing a part's .MU file by replacing TGA with DDS entries with a text editor will work or I need to install a software for it? =">

Moving this to the addons section, I think you need more than just a text editor, try taniwha's Blender plugin.

Did you try just to replace tga/png/mbm with dds files, without touching mu?

You don't need to. Just put the dds in the same place and same name.

I used a site (https://online-converting.com/image/convert2dds/) to convert the TGA files for z_thing boxes with the DXT5 surface format. KSP didn't had problems with it but ="> conversion wasn't perfect. =D

I think the parts am trying to convert their TGAs to DDS from are all from z_thing, the boxes, space station hub and radial mounts which I got from this forum post:

I would like to ask if it's okay with you if I send their respective TGA files when I get to upload them to dropbox? =">

I don't want to push my luck =">

AWESOME work by the way with your cargo freighter! =)

No problem at all. I've created a batch process for saving everything as dds so it's a 10 second job no matter the number. Upload every image you want converting in a single zip and I'll do them for you today.
